Flame Demon July 10th, 2006 9:31 AM

My Third OU Team

Salamence (M) @ Leftovers ** Wyvern
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Brick Break
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power [Flying]

Rock Slide was missing too much. Jolly to outspeed more things.

Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers ** ZZZ
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 160 HP / 116 Atk / 88 Def / 144 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Earthquake
- Rest
- Return

Gengar hasn't been a problem lately.

Suicune @ Leftovers ** Brittany Spears
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 240 HP / 36 Def / 156 Spd / 40 SAtk / 36 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Reflect
- Rest
- Roar
- Surf

ReflectCune. I forgot the standard EVs. I need them.

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers ** MUDCATZ
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP / 52 Atk / 64 Def / 136 SAtk / 16 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)

It counters Salamence and Skarmory and all of those all menaces in the OU metagame.

Moltres @ Petaya Berry ** TORCHIN' FLYA
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 156 HP / 160 Spd / 168 SAtk / 24 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Roar
- Substitute

SubPetaya. It has limited movepool. I wish it could learn Calm Mind like the lengendary dogs.

Celebi @ Leftovers ** FLYIN' HERB
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 240 HP / 96 Def / 60 Spd / 16 SAtk / 96 SDef
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Baton Pass
- Heal Bell
- Leech Seed
- Substitute

SubSeed Cleric IMO.

I bet its bad. I'm still a noob and I need help from aragornbird, Mullet, Pax Deorum, and all you other guys.

Mullet July 10th, 2006 11:09 AM

Fixes in bold.

BB is not good on outside of CB Mence. Rut RS over it.

Rock Slide was missing too much. Jolly to outspeed more things.

Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers ** ZZZ
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 160 HP / 72 Atk / 136 Def / 140 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Earthquake
- Rest

I use those EVs.

Gengar hasn't been a problem lately.

Suicune @ Leftovers ** Brittany Spears
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 240 HP / 36 Def / 156 Spd / 40 SAtk / 36 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Reflect
- Rest
- Roar
- Surf

I like CM Cune the best but if you must use this ask Pyro about Reflect Cune.

ReflectCune. I forgot the standard EVs. I need them.

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers ** MUDCATZ
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP / 16 Atk / 156 Def / 96 SAtk

- Earthquake
- Ice Beam

Bad EVs. Mine are for Cursepert so Curse over Surf or Rest.

It counters Salamence and Skarmory and all of those all menaces in the OU metagame.

Moltres @ Petaya Berry ** TORCHIN' FLYA
Trait: Pressure
EVs: [b]
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Roar
- Substitute

No, use this:

Moltres @ Leftovers ** Volvagia
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 60 HP / 232 Spd / 140 SAtk / 76 SDef
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Morning Sun
- Sunny Day

Much more staying power.

SubPetaya. It has limited movepool. I wish it could learn Calm Mind like the lengendary dogs.

Celebi @ Leftovers ** FLYIN' HERB
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 240 HP / 40 Def / 32 Spd / 196 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

- Psychic
- Heal Bell
- Leech Seed
- Recover

Fixed.

SubSeed Cleric IMO.

These you go. Your sets and EVs are always weird. You haven't seemed to learn much.

Pyrotechnix July 10th, 2006 11:32 AM

Flame Demon, before I give you the setup I use for ReflectCune, the trend I have noticed is that you take elements from other people's teams and try to make them work together without paying attention to the basics. Also, I think a class on EV spreading might be in order for you :/

Suicune @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 236 HP / 64 Def / 72 SAtk / 136 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Reflect
- Surf
- Roar/Ice Beam
- Rest

This is the Ice Beam set up, if wanting Roar get the speed up to 215-220.

Your Salamence is missing a CB :/

Flame Demon July 10th, 2006 11:35 AM

Oh, crap, I meant to put CB on Salamence.

Well, thanks for tips guys! :)

Fr0st July 10th, 2006 11:56 AM

This team is alot like Mullets without the JirChamp...

As the co-creater of JirChamp, you could probably understand why Mullet uses it a lot. XD

Also, saying its like Mullet's, is that a compliment?

Also mine is cooler as I don't use those silly walls.

Rubberbandman July 10th, 2006 2:24 PM

Adamant > Jolly for Salamence, it cant out speed its biggest competition as starter, Aerodactyl, and a Rock Slide from Salamence can OHKO Aero so RS>FB

Flame Demon July 10th, 2006 2:41 PM

That helped a lot Rubberbandman.

I replaced Moltres with Jolteon because I like it better.

Jolteon (M) @ Petaya Berry ** BOLTIN' SPEED
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Substitute
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt

SubPetaya Jolteon. I Thunder Wave them if they don't break my Sub. Thunderbolt is sort of, well, standard and HP Grass for Dugtrio and Swampert and all those other guys.

They will throw out somthing that isnt ground any way so Ice > Grass IMO

Pyrotechnix July 10th, 2006 6:01 PM

HP Grass benefits Jolteon a lot better overall..

And saying a team looks like Mullet's, while probably flattering to Mullet, really isn't saying much for you, since it's also kinda saying you're using a team style that isn't "classic you"

Actually I really don't care they can copy any of my teams. I just probably play them better even though I can't predict anymore.

Squarewalker July 11th, 2006 1:41 AM

suicune and swampert on the same team is pointless ._.

also, subpetaya doesn't work fyi, they'll just send in blissey/snorlax/regice/celebi, who can absorb the t-wave with no problem, then they'll just brake your subs and will kill you without they getting hurt much, therefore jolteon is only good at baton passing subs, but that wouldn't help your team out, so replace him with something like resttalk zapdos if you really need a special attacker.

Synchronize July 11th, 2006 4:52 AM

for a BPing a Jolteon sub, PYro told me about this little gem of an ev spread:

Jolteon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 132 HP / 196 Spd / 180 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Baton Pass
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

Fr0st July 11th, 2006 6:04 AM

Zapdos does a good job passing subs especially on a team like this with no spinner
