Team Help

I want to make a team in Emerald and don't want it to be a messed up one or with ubers. I have a plan to get this team:

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/pkrs009.gifSwampert
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Earthquake
- Rest

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/pkrs031.gifGardevoir
- Psychic
- Calm Mind
- Safeguard
- It was wish but now I don't know which move i need... >_>

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/pkfrlg006.pngCharizard
- Dragon Dance
- Aerial Ace
- Rockslide
- Fireblast/Flamethrower

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/pkrs079.gifManentric @Petaya Berry
Timid Nature
-Thunder Bolt
- Substitue
- Crunch
- I don't know...

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/pkrs134.gifCradily
- Giga drain
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- Recover

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/pkfrlg094.pngGengar
- Sludge Bomb
- Shadow Ball
- Thunder Bolt
- Explosion/Focus Punch/ Ice Punch

I want this team to get better and I don't know which nature I should go on all of them and what items they should be holding. Maybe someone can help me with this team. X_x

Adamant Nature
- Curse
- Rock Slide/Return/HP Rock/Brick Break
- Earthquake
- Rest

IMO Curse works better on this team.

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/pkrs031.gifGardevoir @ Leftovers/Salac Berry/Lum Berry
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt
- Rest/Will-o-Wisp/Thunder Wave/Toxic/Destiny Bond/Wish/Mean Look

One of those for the last slot, WoW is my preference.

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/pkfrlg006.pngCharizard @ Salac Berry/Liechi Berry/Leftovers
- Dragon Dance/Swords Dance
- Aerial Ace
- Earthquake
- Fireblast/Flamethrower/Overheat/Rock Slide

For the nature, Adamant for Dragon Dance, or Jolly/Naive for Swords Dance.

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/pkrs079.gifManentric @Petaya Berry
Timid Nature
-Thunder Bolt
- Substitue
- Crunch
- Toxic/Thunder Wave

Timid is good, either Petaya or Leftovers.

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/pkrs134.gifCradily
- Giga drain
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- Recover/Rest

Yours is a more attacking cradily. You could go with Careful Nature, but Cradily is meant to stall more. And as a tank. Since you have Swampert you could call him your physical wall, then make Cradily your Special one. You could go Toxic, Rest, Amnesia, Rock Slide/Iron defense. Or just choose this one:

Cradily @ Leftovers
Impish Nature
- Toxic/Mirror Coat
- Rock Slide
- Recover
- Earthquake/Iron Defense

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/pkfrlg094.pngGengar @ Leftovers
Hasty Nature
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Thunder Bolt
- Ice Punch

McIceGar. Kewl
Edit: woops, I thought Naive lowered def and raised Spd, checked and corrected.

I want this team to get better and I don't know which nature I should go on all of them and what items they should be holding. Maybe someone can help me with this team. X_x

IMO you have a nice team. Pretty well balanced overall. If you use Gardevoir as a sponge and Swampert/Cradily as a Tank, you can cover mostly everything I guess.

Firebolt5 July 12th, 2006 5:27 AM

Hasty on Gengar IMO IMO IMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TheFrozen July 12th, 2006 6:24 AM

Woaw, thank you so much. ^_^ That team will RULE now. ^_^

Fr0st July 12th, 2006 7:14 AM

This team is really good for a first one posted...
On Cradily I suggest that you use Iron Defence, Rock Slide, Recover, Toxic/Mirror Coat because your Gardevoir can easily Sp.Wall (use wish on Gardevior)
And for Gengar (It is really hard to EV it ingame for the moveset Lath suggested so use Thunderbolt, Ice Punch, Fire Punch/Giga Drain, Explosion
Good team

TheFrozen July 12th, 2006 9:23 AM

I don't own pokemon box so i can't get a gardevoir with wish. And I can't get ice punch/fire punch before I get to battle frontier and I am in slateport ^^;;. I am getting the pokémons early so I can train them on the way there so I wonder what moves should I use until I will be able to learn ice punch on gengar. >_>;;

BTW I got Pokémon Ruby/FireRed/Colosseum that I am making this team to emerald for.

If you have access to so many games, then get rid of lame Manectric for a better Electric Pokemon. Try Ampharos. No one seems to use him anymore, but the fact that he can survive an unSTABed Earthquake is awesome. Plus his Special Attack is tied with Raikou,

Ampharos @Leftovers
Modest Nature
-Thunderbolt
-Fire Punch
-Thunder Wave/Substitute
-Counter/Focus Punch

Or you can get a Raikou or Zapdos, the best Electric types in the game. They are legendaries, but not ubers.

AB, who gives a crap if its a Uber anyway. Its not like it matters in-game.

shanecdavis July 12th, 2006 1:36 PM

Maybe not to you, but there are a lot of us that prefer to at least have some sort of balance while playing in-game, especially since the difficulty is geared towards six-year olds.

TheFrozen July 13th, 2006 7:22 AM

I like Manectric. O_O AND I like Ampharos. But If I use ampharos noone will be able to hurt psychic pokémons pretty good. >_> So I will kepp manectric.

However my question was, what move should I have instead of ice punch on gengar until I reach the battle frontier? O_o

Flame Demon July 13th, 2006 9:16 AM

Well, Giga Drain is an ok move.

Actually a STAB Earthquake from Swampert is going to hurt Psychic-types a lot more than a non-STAB Crunch from a weaker Manectric. Keep in mind that most Psychic-types have low base Def, and the few that do have high base Def (80 or higher) and be hurt in other ways. Don't only follow a Pokes type weakness as that will severly limit what your team can do.

However my question was, what move should I have instead of ice punch on gengar until I reach the battle frontier? O_o

Personally, I would keep Ice Beam on Swampert and use Giga Drain on Gengar.

TheFrozen July 13th, 2006 10:36 PM

So I should go with ampharos instead?.. Ok, I guess it will work ^^;;.

Fr0st July 14th, 2006 8:24 AM

Jolteon is a fine elecric pokemon. It's the fastest pokemon in the game not including ubers...

aragornbird July 14th, 2006 10:01 AM

~*^*~~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~~*^*~

Not including Ninjask or Electrode either. Anyways, Jolteon is quite awesome, but it needs basically the same moves that Manectric has so you’ll need another Substitute tutor.

Jolteon @Petaya Berry
Timid Nature (Modest is fine as well)
Thunderbolt
Bite
Substitute
Baton Pass

~*^*~~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~~*^*~

TheFrozen July 17th, 2006 4:36 AM

I don't have any more substitue tutors T_T

And i don't like jolteon that much either >____>;; And it's hard to choose which electric pokémon I should have in my team. X_X

shanecdavis July 17th, 2006 7:07 AM

Then don't have one. A CM Thunderbolt from Gardevoir can be just as effective.

Lord Mike July 17th, 2006 11:43 AM

The downfall to Jolteon is that it, like many other Eletric-types, have a very limited movepool. I like Amphy better because it at least can learn Fire Punch too, which is definately a plus for an Eletric-type. I like Rakiou best though since it can learn CM, but its sort of hard to raise. Magneton is cool too.

Also, if you get Jolteon, try to shoot for Modest since even without a +Speed Nature it outspeeds everything in-game if you have it a decent level. Focus mainly on its Special Attack and use AB's set if you use him at all.

TheFrozen July 19th, 2006 3:31 AM

I guess i go with ampharos because i like her more. ^___^Thanks for all tips btw.

Lord Mike July 19th, 2006 6:38 AM

Good choice for in-game. Amphy is probably one of the best because use legendaries don't make the fun much fun and like AB said Amphy's Special Attack is tied with Kou's.

TheFrozen July 23rd, 2006 8:09 AM

OMG This team pwns! I tested it on NetBattle and I rule with it O_o;; This team is so friggin awesome thanks everyone! ^___^
