Two save files?

i know game freak is probably not going to do this but wouldn't it be nice to have two save files that way you could leave your strong team for wi-fi and restart the game whenever u want

also i know i am going of topic but could anyone tell me how to put pictures on my sig?

JirachiMan July 31st, 2006 6:29 PM

That would be so cool. But I dobt they would do that. That would make it to easy for you to get all the pokemon.

How exactly could that help you get all pokemon? It would still be the same version of the game, with the same pokemon.

I would like to have at least two, if they are tradable between each other. So if I wanted to restart the game, I could save my pokemon.

Squeegee Beckenheim July 31st, 2006 7:16 PM

I guess that would be a cool addition. However, I think Nintendo will probably stick with the old fashion way our favorite games have always been.

hamir August 1st, 2006 2:23 AM

That be Awesome having 2 save files. But then again Game freak won't do it.

Captain Fabio August 1st, 2006 6:44 AM

I think that it would be great! Because it is so much easier then! and plus if you want to start a new game you don't have to trade all of your pokemon that you want over to another game!

Forci Stikane August 2nd, 2006 2:29 PM

Well, that would be cool, but it would cut down on how long it could get, and I'm not sure that's worth it...

Besides, with both (as most people seem to be doing), you basically already have 2 save files...

pyrzzi August 2nd, 2006 2:39 PM

Well, it could get a lot easier to play, but it would take a lot of challenge from D/P

diageo11 August 2nd, 2006 7:11 PM

It would be cool cuz then my brother wouldnt have to waste money and buy another game cuz he doesnt want diamond cuz its pink and neither do i.

Whispering Winds August 2nd, 2006 7:17 PM

A second save file would be convenient, but I do not believe that it's going to happen. It would be nice to not have to buy one cartridge for each household member who wants a save file, but that's not the case when it comes to Pokemon.

You still wouldn't be able to get the version exclusive Pokemon of the other version, but you could experience starting with a new starter without having to restart your file or trade with another game.

I like the idea of 2 save files, but I doubt it will be implemented because every other main Pokemon game only has 1 save file and Nintendo doesn't seem like the type to deviate from the main formula often.

RaveGamer August 3rd, 2006 2:31 AM

That WOULD be nice but it probably wont happen. Then again, anything is possible ;)

Shorty August 3rd, 2006 12:18 PM

That would be a great idea but I also doubt the change will ever happen.

The beginning pokémon are suppose to be rare, no? It only makes sense that players should go through some sort of hardship to get them.

Hehe...that's what gamesave devices like the Action Replay MAX GBA/DS (that I have :D) are for...

weirdo1 August 5th, 2006 1:48 AM

I like this idea but you shouldn't be able to trade between them

umm... diamond isn't pink moron... Pearl is pink.. and diamond is blue

Auron August 9th, 2006 12:42 AM

Diamond is white...

Well, having two save files is awesome !! But...3 could be better !! This way...I can save all games with all starters...^_^

But this is a very good idea for brothers...This way, they don't need to buy two cartridges...^_^

Ayano Katagiri August 11th, 2006 3:58 PM

I think 2 save files would be awesome!! but it is sooo unlikely for that to happen...

Sorry typo, you don't need to insult me, jeasus.

Anyway you should be able to swap cuz then if you have no oe to trade with and you don't have the internet you're screwed.

I heard that Nintendo started making the games so that the Gamesharks wear out real fast. Like it breaks them, or something. i read somewhere on the net that On the newer nintendo games a brand new gameshark was dysfuncional after only fifteen minutes of use.

andrewv42 August 15th, 2006 5:24 AM

A 2nd save file would be cool! but gamefreak wont do it for either of the following:
1.If players want another save they force them to buy another game so gamefreak gets even more money!
2.It`ll take up too much MB on your GBA

I personally think the main reason is reason 1, because Super Mario Bros. 3 gets 5 save files...

To the above post I`d like to say that it already exists partly on Emerald. My friend used Gameshark to get all the tickets to the islands for legendaries, and infinate master balls. When he came back to his game he found he was back straight at the begginning, with a message saying "Device has detected use of hacking/cheating devises such as a Gameshark code and the file has been terminated. Please restart."

Ichida August 15th, 2006 8:23 AM

Even if you did have two save files in order to get both of the "Decision" Pokemon, ie the fossils from previous games, most games don't incorporate trading things between save files, so that would sort of defeat the point. It is an ide auseful to people who share their game with others. My siblings are always grabby about my DSlite, so I'm glad I have games with multiple save files.

1. NOT A Gameshark

2. NOT for using cheats, but rather for backing up games which, last I checked, is legal as long as you own the game (no prob there ;))

...But we digress. As far as the two save files go, yeah, you probably wouldn't be able to trade between them, so it's kinda pointless.

diarugapal August 17th, 2006 6:17 PM

I agree. I wanna get Diamond, that legendary looks so cool...plus, having the 2 save files might be awesome...yay or nay?
