If it's what I think it is then I think you might be right. That is if you're thinking of the same anime as me. XD

Conan's still got about another year before it beats the entire franchise. Though, technically speaking, Conan is the second longest anime ever. DB is the second longest anime franchise.

Oh really? The what is the first longest running anime? XD

Longest running anime un-cut is Pokemon (next year is 10 years). But if you want the one with the most eps (counting all of the shows put together) then that'll be Gundam. XD

That was actaully directed to Jorfe but...whatever. XD

I think I will take Gundam. XD Pokemon of course is the longest running anime because it never stops. o_o

Actually, Doraemon dwarfs the Pokémon anime, Case Closed/Detective Conan, and the Dragon Ball and Gundam franchises all combined.

Are you serious? o_o Gundam went with pokemon....>_> That isnt what I wanted to hear. ;o;

MegaDitto August 2nd, 2006 5:10 PM

Jack. You had to beat me. >_>

Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo has to be the longest running manga in history.

Doraemon has up to 2000 episodes. ;D

And lets not forget the anime Lupin the Third 3rd.

Arcanine August 2nd, 2006 5:14 PM

That is pretty messed up. And the fact that it's a cat thing standing on the earth makes it worse... O_o;;
XD

MegaDitto August 2nd, 2006 5:17 PM

Andy. It's a great series. Me+Jack+Jorfe= Anime Pros.

Also speaking of anime. I'm in a annoyed mood now.

I knew it's been around about 10 years, but that's surprising that there isn't another anime that's been running longer. At least to me anyway. o.o

You completely missed what I said about Doraemon.

I highly doubt you tube have the episodes.

No, I read what you said about Doraemon combining with the other animes. What does that have to do with my comment, though? o.o

[EDIT] Wait, by the other animes combining with Doraemon, are you saying that they've been running just as long?

Not like it all really matters. I mean if you like an anime it doesn't really matter if it's the longest running or not. XD

MegaDitto August 2nd, 2006 5:40 PM

I have one qustion. Who is using insvisivle mode. D:

It doesn't matter. I was just saying...it's surprising. I only watch 3 animes anyway. XD

I never said anything about combining anime. What I meant was, Doraemon by itself has been running longer and has more episodes than Pokémon, Detective Conan, the Dragon Ball franchise, and Mobile Suit Gundam and its myriad spinoffs.

Pokémon: 276 (original series), 192 (Advanced Generation), 5 (banned)
Detective Conan: 451+
Dragon Ball: 153 (original series), 291 (Dragon Ball Z), 64 (Dragon Ball GT)
Gundam: 43 (Mobile Suit Gundam), 50 (Zeta Gundam), 47 (Gundam ZZ), 51 (Victory Gundam), 49 (Gundam Wing), 39 (After War Gundam X), 50 (Turn A Gundam), 52 (SD Gundam Force), 50 (Gundam SEED), 50 (Gundam SEED Destiny)
Doraemon: 2000+

That, and Doraemon has been airing nonstop since April 2, 1979.

Zaikiro August 2nd, 2006 5:45 PM

I'm going to guess one of them is megaman.

I've only watched like 5 (Pokemon, Inuyasha, Dragon Ball, Gundam, and Sailor Moon), I think that's all the anime I can take. XD

So then that would mean Doraemon is the longest running...Uncle Andy was wrong! XD

Everyone makes mistakes, and remind me how many times you've been wrong on things.
And I was close enough, Pokemon is second longest. XD

Bleach is good for you. So is Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. And Fullmetal Alchemist. And Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. And Fate/stay night. And s-CRY-ed. And Naruto. And Full Metal Panic!. And RahXephon. And Hellsing. And Wolf's Rain. And especially Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Card Captor Sakura, and Trigun.

I can't even say half of them names. So I think not. XD

And I could have sworn I checked on Case Closed to see if it was longer....

All of those anime's posted there are good, I never got the chance to see Wolf's rain so I just read the manga. I say that YuYu Hakusho is also a good anime since it's blessed with no fillers.

It's been some time since WB hasn't showed some new eps of Pokemon...my guess is that they are saving those in the new CW.
