I've heard from people that this team is lousy...
Is that true?
And how might I improve?

Well, Kyogre and Rayquaza are ubers and people don’t like it when you use ubers because they are cheap and overpowered.

Get a copy of Fire Red or Leaf Green because Manectric isn’t nearly as good as Zapdos, Raikou, or Jolteon.

I was gonna have at team for each generation...
but should I just mix it up a bit and have only one team?

Here are some of my favorites from all the games:
Charizard
Jolteon
Nidoking
Machamp
Kingler
Exeggutor
Rhydon
Typhlosion
Politoed
Umbreon
Steelix
Tyranitar
Lugia
Blissey
Sceptile
Metagross
Kyogre
Rayquaza
Camerupt
Manectric

What should I do?

You can have as many teams as you want, but the best teams use Pokemon from all the generations to have as many choices as possible.

Like I said, Jolteon can replace Manectric as your fast, special sweeper.
Steelix is good to have due to its outstanding Defense, and Blissey for her excellent Special Defense.

Rhydon/Machamp/Tyranitar/Metagross are all awesome attackers. Don't put them all on the same team though, because Rhydon/Tyranitar/Metagross are all weak to Ground. Choose Machamp because it has few weaknesses.

You can keep Sceptile, or you can replace it with Exeggutor. Both are great Grass types.

So:

Jolteon
Steelix
Blissey
Machamp
Sceptile/Exeggutor

Your last Pokemon can vary. Just make sure it's not adding any severe weaknesses to your team.

Can you at least fit Charizard and Metagross in, those are my 2 favs.
Thanks. :D
I will use Sceptile rather than Exeggutor.

Then after that can you give me movesets?

Thanks for all this Aragornbird! :D

Charizard and Metagross would work wonders together

[email protected]
Adamant Nature
~Agility
~Earthquake
~Explosion
~Meteor Mash

[email protected]
Adamant Nature
~Swords Dance
~Earthquake
~Aerial Ace
~Fire Blast/Flamethrower/Overheat

Blow up water types with metagross' explosion and charizard will win you the game. Throw in Sceptile for backup as well

Can you edit the team with what aragorn has...
and add Charizard and Metagross.
Thanks.

The bold's are my opinion. I don't like moves that lower stats or in-accurat.
For Sceptile:

[email protected] Berry
Modest Nature
-Leaf Blade
-Thunderpunch
-Seismic Toss
-Dragon Claw

No, Lugialord, Metagross does not need Shadow Ball since it does not have trouble against Ghost or Psychic types. Besides, Gengars die to one Meteor Mash anyways.
And that Sceptile moveset is bad.

Here are movesets for the following Pokémon if you plan on using them:

Jolteon @Leftovers/Petaya Berry
-Thunderbolt
-Bite
-Substitute
-Baton Pass

Steelix @Leftovers
-Earthquake
-Roar
-Rest
-Toxic/Rock Slide

Blissey @Leftovers
-Seismic Toss
-Thunder Wave/Ice Beam
-Softboiled
-Aromatherapy

Machamp @Leftovers
-Cross Chop
-Rock Slide
-Rest
-Sleep Talk

Sceptile @Leftovers/Petaya Berry
-Leaf Blade
-Substitute
-Leech Seed
-Thunderpunch

Exeggutor @Leftovers/Lum Berry
-Solarbeam
-Sunny Day
-Psychic
-Sleep Powder

If you’re going to use a Metagross with 4 attacking moves, you might as well put Choice Band on it.

What should I get rid of then? Because that's 7 Pokemon...
being..Jolteon, Blissey, Sceptile, Charizard, Steelix, Machamp and Metagross..

Steelix, Jolteon or Blissey. I'd choose Steelix being slow and not a good attacker. But the defense is good, you need an attacking and defending pokemon to hold you up on the game. Say Metagross, it's a Steel/Psychic type. Weaknesses: Ground and Fire. Good to stand-up but needs a big 'BOOM' to get rid of the 'hard to beat' pokemon.

It seems as if Steelix may have to go...
