Pretty good UU Team. I've got nothing to say.

m3t41 August 23rd, 2006 1:12 AM

Ok thanks lugialord, but there has to be something wrong with my team, i mean nothing is ever perfect in this world. Except for one of Mullet's or Husk's teams. ;)

HP Flying = Hidden Power Flying and lugialord, i want to stick with boltbeam because it's better than what you have suggested.

[[.x___matt]] August 23rd, 2006 4:08 AM

Ahh..OK, I didn't know HP is an abbreviation for Hidden Power.

Patrickman August 23rd, 2006 4:14 AM

I Have no suggestions except for Quagsire. give him a Chesto Berry if you're giving him rest

That's nice, now if you haven't anything more constructive to say, don't say anything.

Why on earth would you get rid of Softboiled and use an attack like Present?
If you're suggestions aren't helpful, please don't suggest them.

No, bad idea. Chesto Berrys are for noobs. Quagsire needs Leftovers since it's more helpful in the long run.

Oookay...first of all, your EV spreads are illegal. The maximum EV value for any given stat is 255, so I don't see where all those 256s are coming from. Also, Jumpluff isn't UU, it's a BL which some people even want to classify as an OU for its supreme team messing powers. Scizor was also OU last I checked, although if it has fallen I doubt that it's statline would allow it to go below BL. This being the case, this team is about as UU as my NB Zapdos. -.-

It's not UU, and it doesn't need Speed, especially not a Jolly nature which does next to nothing with the crappy base stat. You've got Agility, it doesn't need to outspeed a thing without it. =P Put those EVs into HP instead and give it Impish nature to give it a survival chance.

Pwhee Gilgar...although you could use Substitute instead of Rock Slide to grant it some status protection and extra SDance time/protection. That way, you would also have a convenient way of dropping HP in a controlled manner to activate the Salac. Lefties give it more recycling value, though, and there aren't really that many things in UU that can outspeed a Gligar, so meh. :\

Modest Nature

Ehh...whatever floats your boat, I guess, but with these EVs it's easy pickings for any physical sweepers which, combined with Clefable's poor Speed, isn't too hot. At least put the Sp.Defense EVs into Defense, you'll get quite enough from Calm Mind, maybe divert some Sp.Attack into Defense as well.

Timid Nature
Evs: 252 Spd/252 Sp. Atk/4 HP
-Calm Mind
-Psychic
-Trick
-Torment Baton Pass/Substitute

Wow, it's a pokémon with over-maximum EVs...-.- Macho Brace tricking is a new one, but I suppose it can work. However, since you're CMing anyway you'd be better of going Timid than Modest. Also, absolute maximum Sp.Attack on Mr.Mime is kind of yeah, it's not that strong so it will still need to CM for real power. This being the case, you should have some more EVs in HP and defenses to keep it alive. Also, I fail to see what Torment is doing for you on this set. Try Baton Pass to send over the stat boosts to other team members or Substitute to help keep it alive while CMing.

Careful Nature
Evs: 252 Spd/128 Def/124 Sp.Def
-Encore
-Leech Seed

-Sleep Powder Hidden Power [Flying]

Nyah, HP Flying to handle Hera since you are stepping onto his turf just by taking this pokémon onto your team. Anyway, it's always nice to have something to fall back on if you end up Taunted or suchlike. Also, try adding some HP (Final should be divisible by 16) to maximize your efficiency with Substitute and go for an Sp.Defense boosting nature since it will help

Brave Nature
Evs: 252 Hp/252 Defense/4 Atk
-Curse
-Earthquake
-Ice Beam
-Rest

Gawd...this EV spread is so wrong. -.- Why are you wasting almost half your EVs on boosting that abbysmally poor Sp.Defense stat when it's going to be average at best? Stick it in Defense and Attack instead. Yes, Attack, I'd say getting a bit more of that. Also, the Sp.Attack should be good enough to OHKO a standard Gligar with one Ice Beam, and should preferably put a good dent into Meganium and the like as well.

IT'S NOT UU!!

Ahem, with that out of the way, this team looks pretty weak. :\ All your attackers rely on buffing up, meaning that tanks with hazing or phazing action screw them over, and you have a terrible lack of walls. Ditch Scizor and get a CB Sweeper like Hitmonlee instead, and exchange Jumpluff for something UU. Either that or go honestly OU with it.

Yes but you only want to use 252 if you are maxing a stat otherwise you are wasting EVs.

m3t41 August 24th, 2006 3:09 AM

Whoops, i thought that the max ev in one stat was 256. *slaps head* Thanks for that advice Alter Ego, you helped alot.

Haha Mullet gets no love. Considering he forgot to metion something I think I should get at least a bit of credit. >_>

Alter Ego August 24th, 2006 5:09 AM

Nyah, he's got a point there. I figured that the 252 maximum was such common knowledge that it wasn't worth bothering with, doesn't make much sense now that I think about it considering some of the other problems with the team. Thanks for making that part clear. ^^

Apparently to him it wasn't clear. >_>

Alter Ego August 24th, 2006 6:08 AM

Really? He did say something about that in his above post...erm...I think? o.O Anyway, I did correct his 256s into 252 in the EVs (Even the ones I suggested him to change), so I hope he got the message, and I won't leave it unclear in the future. Fair enough? There's no need to get worked up over a random team rate.

You never know he might have been wondering why put 252 in when the max is 255. =P I think he got the message. ^_^
