Breaking News: Lucario & Regarding To Final Numbers

As POKEMON DIAMOND AND PEARL are only 4 days away from shop release for those Japanese Game Nerds, and only 6 months away from being sold to you bunch of petty Gameboy Nerds that still dress in Pikachu and Bulbasaur shirts and pyjamas, several parts of an interview with Ken Sugimori and an unnamed female official have been highlighted.

Lucario has been confirmed by Gamefreak officials that it will not be ledgendary. It has been suggested that it will be part of a 3 evolution line, making itself the middle one. This is part of an interview that was involving Ken Sugimori and an unnamed Female official.

The interview also referred to the final numbers for the National Dex, a quote from an unknown female official, "to exceed beyond 550". Ken Sugimori also said, "Pokemon from previous generations will be welcomed by old and new players of the two new games as many will have introduced alternative evolutions." However, it isnot clear whether baby presentation will be finally bashed out of the spotlight and just be referred to as Basic Stage. This theory can be heavily supportedby the fact that baby Pokemon from previous generations can now be caught in the wild, WELL THAT IS INTERESTING.

More news to come, expect some massive changes to the game.

This is very interesting. I was always wondering if Lucario was a legendary or not. I questioned it because he can have two different abilities, and legendaries always have one.

Volta. September 22nd, 2006 8:38 PM

Very interesting. Do have the article? According to that we have at least 160 new pokemon coming.

Ah, too bad. I wonder what Pokemon Lucario evolves from?

But one thing confuses me: The National Dex, in its final numbers, are more than 550, but if that is so, then Pokemon's end is in due time!
Unless, of course, it is just for Diamond/Pearl.

By the way, how did you get this info?

oh i want him to be legendary

AnDrOmAn September 23rd, 2006 3:51 AM

You know it would help if you had a source for all this, until then we can still have some rampant lucario speculation.

tyranisneasel September 23rd, 2006 6:15 AM

That is interesting... Lucario, not legendary. Oh, well. Anyway, I can't believe they're getting rid of baby pokemon!

Kojiro September 23rd, 2006 8:23 AM

No Article = Me not believing you.

Samson September 23rd, 2006 10:57 AM

i believe him that lucario isn't a legendary because SEREBII.net actually had it on page that sugimori had said that Lucario would have a pre-evo in the same article that he said roselia would have both an evo and pre-evo. it has been proven that roselia DOES have a pre-evo, so that gives it some credibility.

what i find hard to believe is that it is only the middle stage. it's stats at level 40 are pretty dang good, and it looks pretty cool already. i wonder what they could possibly do to make it cooler.

The Fallen September 23rd, 2006 11:03 AM

He's more like a Dragonite type of legendary probably, I forgot the exact name of it. I think it's best that he is not a legendary though. He didn't seem or look like he should be one.

Lil-Dill September 23rd, 2006 11:15 AM

I think Clix kinda gots a point u know! Lucario may seem 2 short 2 b legendary, and also in the movie he whuz captured in a pokeball by hiz master n all so maybe he iznt a legendary after all. But it would b kool if he whuz.

I'm so happy that its not a legi because I'm sick of them getting all of the attention in the movies and other places.

This information is as reliable as the information us fellows at Nintendo of Australia are given.

I am against the policy of even posting a download to the email received in Japanese.

However, what I have translated is what you are allowed to know at this time of year.

AnDrOmAn September 24th, 2006 2:45 AM

You know noone believes you without a source right?
Unnamed females are cool though

Plateface September 24th, 2006 3:05 AM

You either take this information with open arms or not. It's up to you, I'm really not fussed/don't give a rats clacker if you go nuclear on me if I am not allowed to present the source.

SO TOUGH.

~*!*~Tatsujin Gosuto~*!*~ September 24th, 2006 4:40 AM

I could somewhat believe. Its like when one of the Pokemon movies where coming to Japan they thought that Absol was a legi.

I'm not believing that interview until i see it so without source this thread is, well pointless really.

what does one's size have to do with that??? Jirachi is tiny (like the size of a football)

Volta. September 24th, 2006 8:06 AM

I'll say. It's not size that matters, it's how 00berly high your stats are :D

And that's how my friend's friend caught one with a his masterball :\

Yea thats what I though before you can find a few of them near Liliycove. Jirachi is like 1'00" and Celebi is 2'00". Also they put the legi's in the back of the Poke dex.

1. I REALLY doubt Lucario will evolve. I'll accept it having a prevo, but not an evo.

2. Could it be that you can catch those Baby Pokemon in the wild because of the R/S/E/FR/LG transfer?

3. "allowed to know at this time of year"? What, FOUR days from the Japanese release and you're still supposed to hold info back? Well, you still SHOULD be able to post more excerpts from the e-mail than just one sentence and a phrase.

And, um, if this is an e-mail, then how do you know there's an "unnamed female official"?

Lil-Dill September 24th, 2006 12:53 PM

Oh yea good point x24! But really Lucario seems pretty week n all but hes got good atks! I wunder how he will do in D/P

AnDrOmAn September 24th, 2006 12:57 PM

I don't know but if he got snatch and the (already) released attacks in the current metagame i think he would be as broken as wobbuffet.

ArmchairRomeo September 24th, 2006 6:30 PM

Lucario... not legendary? But... oh well, at least I'll be able to breed a team of Lucarios now.

charizard_maa September 24th, 2006 6:51 PM

Lucario not a legendary? Oh my heart. Still oh well but the problem here is that it can evolve. I mean he looks to good looking to begin with. I know there are pokemon like Salamance and Dragonite who don't finish evolving till level 55 but they don't look so impressive. I ok with him not being Legendary but having another evolve form is a bit too much.

Too many pokemon now. I mean Gamefreak and them like to keep it an even number and 160 isn't even.

The thing is that we are missing a source. Still we heard already but still it not officail till a big site like Serebii announces it.
