So yeah, stupid question time
Does the GBA link cable work with the DS, and if not, is there a way for the DS and the GBA to play pokemon w/ each other?
|
I think the DS has a cable of its own, and yes maybe if the GBA and the DS used wireless connection it might be possible.
|
Thank you for the quick reply. If you can find a product that does so, that'd be great. I'm going to google a bit, but if you find something before I do, wow, you'd be my hero.

Well, seems like nintendo.com is the bearer of bad news:
Nintendo DS: The Nintendo DS uses wireless technology to play DS Game Cards in multiplayer mode. While the Nintendo DS can play Game Boy Advance games in single player mode, the DS does not have a port or other circuitry for a link cable, thus it is not possible to play Game Boy Advance games in simultaneous multiplayer mode on the DS. |
Edit: No double posting please
Alrighty then. *Looks through files* Ah, here it is. http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/6085/connectionbb2.jpg It looks like this. http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/2460/connection2xc9.jpg And goes on a Gameboy Advance SP like this. |
I've seen those, they come with the US version of FR/LG...but don't both people need the same module on their gameboys? I don't see how it could work with the DS.
And sorry for double posting. |
Yes you need two to operate a wireless gaming connection, weather or not it will work on a gameboy DS we don't know yet.
|
Yeah, doesn't look like it will work.
Oh well, time to find a GBA to borrow. |
No, I can say right now, it will not work. I know 100%.
Next time you have a question, ask it in Simple Questions. The link to this overly helpful thread is in my sig and in the group of stickies near the top of the R/S/E (GBA) thread listing. CLOSED |
