Rate a Few Pokemon of mine on Emerald
Crawdaunt Lv. 88 (M)
Ice Beam WaterFall Aerial Ace Strength ( Will replace with Hidden Power ) Lapra/Lapras Lv. 73 (F) Ice Beam Sheer Cold WaterFall Surf I need to replace a few attacks of my Lapras, give a few suggestions. Blaze/Blaziken Lv. 67 (M) Blaze Kick Sky UpperCut Hidden Power Double Kick Need to replace Double Kick. Any pokemon I should get and train, post them. |
You should consider catcing a Feebas, preferably a Mild or Modest nature one, and evolve it into a Milotic: the best water pokemon in the games and raise it up. Teach it: Ice Beam, Hydro Pump, Recover, and Surf.
Blaziken is perfect, that is, if you don't replace double kick. The other two are allright but aren't very good in my opinion. Rating?... allright. |
great team but you should get more pokemon of other types

Crawdaunt Lv. 88 (M)
Ice Beam WaterFall Replace with Surf if you want a strong water attack. Waterfall is pretty useless. Aerial Ace Strength ( Will replace with Hidden Power ) Lapra/Lapras Lv. 73 (F) Ice Beam Sheer Cold WaterFall (Dont have two attacks of the same type on one Pokemon especially if one is weaker than the other. So get rid of Waterfall.) Surf I need to replace a few attacks of my Lapras, give a few suggestions. Blaze/Blaziken Lv. 67 (M) Blaze Kick Sky UpperCut Hidden Power Double Kick Need to replace Double Kick. Blaziken is ok but maybe replace Double Kick with something else Any pokemon I should get and train, post them. Pokemon you should get depends on what type of team you are gonna have. Yea and maybe get some other types of Pokemon. You wont need another Water type. |
A few tips for you:
NEVER give the same Poke two attacking moves of the same type. It is redundant and only limits the Poke's effectiveness. NEVER use any HM that isn't called Surf. The others are either worthless or Normal-type that don't give your Poke much of an advantage. NEVER use low accuracy OHKO moves like Sheer Cold. They are noobish and fail much more often than they succeed. As for your team, fixes in bold: Quote:

Okay, this is my first time to rate any team, so... Here I go.

First of all, it is just a few of my pokemon that I been Training.
St. Arcanum, I can't really find any Feebas, it is way to hard to catch that is the reason why I choose different water pokemon to use. !!**Alex**!!, I use waterfall to get somewhere, in Meteor Falls I need it to get to the place to get Bagon. WaterFall is not useless. And I don't know what to replace Double Kick with. CrawDaunt and Lapras are just two pokemon I have. And Blaziken is my Starter. shanecdavis, I had my CrawDaunt since I Caught it on my other game(Restarted). My Lapras is my Surfing pokemon instead of Waliord now. But I want to get rid of Sheer Cold. I don't want to get rid of Blaze Kick and Sky UpperCut on Blaziken. Tail_Glow, On CrawDaunt I don't really know how you get a different Hidden Power instead of its type. I just gave my Crawdaunt Aerial Ace not too long ago. And I CAN'T change their nature so don't say them because order to change their nature you have to catch another and I don't want to do that. And I do want to change Sheer Cold on Lapras. NOT CHANGING WATERFALL, I use it to go catch Bagon. Not replacing Blaze Kick or Sky UpperCut on Blaziken either. |
Don't ask for a rate if you are not going to listen to any suggestions.

Blaziken @ Leftovers/White Herb - Fire Blast/Overheat - Sky Uppercut - Swords Dance - Thunderpunch/Rock Slide I use FB but you can go with Overheat if you don't like only having 8PP. Thunderpunch or RS is also a personal preference. Both combat Flying-types. As I said before, post what you want your team to look like and then I can give you better suggestions. |

And how about this Salamence: Gilmon/Salamence (F) Lv. 97 FlameThrower Crunch ( I would like to replace it ) EarthQuake Dragon Claw :disappoin |
And now I will say again, why ask for a rating if you aren't going to listen to good suggestions?? If you believe you are so good, why post in the first place?

Crobat39, I cannot imagine how you could possibly benefit from posting your team here when you obviously cannopt accept criticism of any sort. You asked for us to rate your team, and we did. You asked for suggestions on your Pokemon's movesets, and we gave them to you. If you don't want to listen, then fine. Might as well have this thread closed.
Slaves are the only Pokemon you teach HM moves to. An exception to this is the move Surf, since it is equal to other moves like Flamethrower and Thunderbolt with 95AP and 100% accuracy. Also, it is non-contact. I suggest you use the following Pokemon as your slaves for the entire game: Gyarados @ (whatever) (Whatever) nature Surf Waterfall Dive Rock Smash/Strength Tropius @ (whatever) (Whatever) nature Fly Cut Flash Rock Smash/Strength There! You've got all HM moves on 2 Pokemon! You can go anywhere! Got it? Good? Good. Pokemon Natures are VERY important. They help to improve one of your Pokemon's stats, and lower's another one, both by 10%. It may not look like it makes any difference at first, but you'll see all the difference when your Pokemon reach higher levels. Trust me on this one. So you can do one of two things: a.) Take the advice that you're given and make your Pokemon as effective as possible, or b.) Ignore us and keep your Pokemon the way they are. Just one last thing... Waterfall is useless. Okay, bye. |
shanecdavis, I am just wondering if my team is good. Ok, I catch bagon A FEW TIMES IN THE GAME, and I use waterfall in battles and 80 AP is not WEAK. And a pokemon with fly or waterfall aren't WEAK either and You don't only need strong attacks. Nope, not changing Dragon Claw on Salamence.
Tail_Glow, Well, yall are changing the attacks I want my pokemon to keep. And I don't like HM slaves because I don't want to keep putting them in my party. BUT I CAN NOT CHANGE NATURES ON MY POKEMON SO DON'T POST THEM. I am going to say this one last time: WATERFALL IS NOT USELESS. You can change tha attacks I don't want my pokemon to have anymore. |
You can't change the Pokemon's natures, but you can always catch or breed new ones with better natures and moves that will be much more effective than the ones in your current team.
Sorry to say this, but Fly with 70AP and Waterfall with 80AP are, in fact, weak. It's alright if you don't change Dragon Claw on Salamence. It benefits from STAB and will have a total of 102AP. You've posted only 3 Pokemon for rating in this thread. I've given you 2 HM Slaves to use. That totals 5, obviously, and you can even include one more, like a Linoone for Pickup advantage. Do NOT diss the effectiveness of Pokemon slaves. Don't go on saying that you already have 6 Pokemon and have no room for HM Slaves. That's what the PC boxes are for. With such levels that your Pokemon have, you've obviously beaten the Elite Four. This means that there is no more reason to use HM moves other than Surf, Waterfall, Dive, and Rock Smash, which are needed to reach certain Pokemon in certain areas which require usage of these HM moves. And of course, Fly, for traveling convenience. In-game, 80AP isn't weak, especially with Pokemon with high SAtk like your Lapras. Unfortunately, battles with real people aren't so easy. So if you were battling other real people, which of two attacks would you prefer: Surf with 95AP, or Waterfall with 80AP? I believe you'd choose the former. Sometimes, even in-game trainers are difficult to beat since some of them can actually get lucky with critical hits, or even use combos. I myself can't get past my 56 winning streak at the Lvl.100 Battle Tower challenge in my Sapphire version. I've resorted to sweeping, and slow KO-ing via Toxic, Confuse Ray, Leech Seed, etc. No team is perfect, so might as well make each team the most effective that it can be, right? But, it's still your team. Do what you want. I'm not saying that you've done anything wrong. Rather, I'm just trying to tell you that there is much that you can do to make your team better. That's all. |

*Sigh* Same here... Sorry Crobat39, but I'm giving up on you, too. So much for my first rating... |

Crobat, please listen to shane and Tail Glow. They know A LOT more about Pokémon than you do. What they are saying is true. Fly and Waterfall DO suck (however, Waterfall becomes great for physical sweeping Water types in D/P). But for the record, shane, Special Sweeping Salamence is fine. Anyways, whatever. You've received all the help you can get. Take it or leave it. ~*^*~~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~~*^*~ |
