The DS Clan

Well...since the old thread kinda died, I figured it's time for a fresh start for the DS Clan. So just talk about the DS in here, and if you want to join, just request it in your User CP and I'll approve it. If I don't, just PM me or something. XD

So...DS talk time... o_o;

NOTE: You have to join the group before posting in here. If you're not a member, then your post WILL be deleted.

Kamui October 7th, 2006 8:38 AM

Nice,
Before getting the WiFi modem,
how to use it??
am too lazy to look for informations or tutarial somewhere else. xD

Morkula October 8th, 2006 9:40 AM

Wifi modem? Are you talking about the USB connector? If you have a wireless router already, you don't need it. But if you don't, then you just go buy the USB connector, plug it in, install the software (I guess it comes with software...never used the thing XD), and then follow the instructions on setting up your wireless connection with the DS.

Like I said, I've got a wireless router, so I've never used the USB thing, so someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Eon-Rider October 8th, 2006 9:45 AM

*pops in out of no where*

I never actually got into the discussion in the other thread. Anyway, the only DS game I have is Mario Kart dS. O.o

Kamui October 10th, 2006 10:49 AM

Nice,
i also dont have much games.
Only have animal crossing, Sonic Rush and just got Pokemon Dash

Morkula October 10th, 2006 2:01 PM

Lessee...I have:
Animal Crossing Wild World, Brain Age, Lost in Blue, Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, Mario Kart DS, Meteos, Metroid Prime Pinball, New Super Mario Bros., Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team, Sonic Rush, Star Fox Command, Star Wars Episode III, Super Mario 64 DS, Tetris DS, Trauma Center: Under the Knife, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Troubadour.

I've got a lot of DS games @[email protected]

Samurai X October 10th, 2006 8:20 PM

Hello Morkula, good thing you restarted this.

Anyways, I have a lot of DS games but I'll post the ones I liked the most:

Castlevania: DoS
Mario Kart DS *
Metroid Prime Hunters
Brain Age
Mario and Luigi: PiT
Sonic Rush
Super Mario 64 DS
New Super Mario Bros
Starfox Command
Meteos

* Favorite DS game so far.

Alex_ October 13th, 2006 7:18 PM

I had a DS way back when it came out and then it broke. Afterwards I got a PSP , I was fed-up with it's crazy loading times so I sold it and bought a new Onyx DS Lite and Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: Attack of the Mini's today. Anyway...I'll join. :P

Morkula October 25th, 2006 9:10 PM

Hey Alex~ </late> XD
The only reason I'd get a PSP would be for emulation...playing old ROM hacks and stuff. It'd be nice to play all the old GBC games without having to tote my SP around too. XD

The only real game I would want for the PSP is the Katamari game, but I don't know how exactly that'd work with only one analog stick...

Anyway, DS game craving of the moment: Clubhouse Games. I want it sooo bad, and it's Wifi enabled, but I'm saving up for the Wii. Anyone have it?

wakachamo October 30th, 2006 7:05 AM

Do note that Sony keeps striking back with firmware updates that do not allow you to have any type of homebrew software, I believe. I've got the latest version, however I haven't tried any, because almost all of them are made for previous versions.

About Clubhouse games, I'm not too excited about it. It's got a different name here, and besides chess, never had much interest in it. D:

Aqua Dream October 30th, 2006 7:05 PM

First of all, I'd like to thank Morkula for letting me into the group.

Anyways, I'm not a fan of the PSP. There are a few games on it that seem remotely interesting.

I haven't seen much information about Clubhouse Games yet, though it does look interesting. I'm anticipating the upcoming release of Final Fantasy III DS at the moment. My favorite DS game so far is Super Princess Peach (Fun, but a little too easy), but that's likely to change.

Samurai X November 5th, 2006 2:37 PM

My DS cravings right now are Final Fantasy III and Castlevania PoR.

Morkula November 5th, 2006 5:09 PM

Final Fantasy III looks really good. I really want to get Elite Beat Agents and Final Fantasy III, but I'm trying to hold off on any more games until the Wii/TP and plus, FF3's going to be $40. x_o

Aqua Dream November 8th, 2006 5:35 PM

In that case, I might wait another week until my birthday before getting FFIII. I'll have a lot more money then. I think that's going to be the first RPG for the DS that will really stand out. Lunar: Dragon Song wasn't so great because it was too different from the first two games. Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time was cool, but I liked the first game more. And Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is fun, but the controls are a bit tedious. Obviously, Diamond and Pearl will be great too, but they won't be out in the US until next year.

Morkula November 8th, 2006 6:35 PM

Am I the only person that really didn't like Superstar Saga, but loved Partners in Time? The first one just didn't seem as funny as the second, and it had too much backtracking. =/

But yeah, I really want FFIII, but I'm going to wait a while to get it. I've got enough RPGs to finish, plus TP coming up. x_o;

Samurai X November 12th, 2006 11:27 AM

Wow, Elite Beat Agents is one fun game! I recommend it to people who like rhythm games and even if you don't like rhythm or music it's still a very fun game that you should try.

Morkula November 12th, 2006 11:35 AM

EBA, FF3, and Clubhouse Games are my top three games I want for the DS now (in that order). But Wii and TP come before all of them. XD

Kamui November 16th, 2006 9:52 AM

WOW,
A lots of plans.
I want to buy PMD-Blue and thats all actually.
No other plans of buying anything else.

Morkula November 27th, 2006 5:35 PM

Sam X, you were right about EBA. I picked it up today to give me something to hold me over until I got a Wii. I think it's become my favorite DS game, along with MKDS. o_O;

Samurai X November 28th, 2006 1:13 PM

EBA tied me over until Wii too. As a matter of fact I was playing up until only 8 minutes left for the Wii, that's when the manager let us in.

Has anybody played Yoshi's Island DS? I have seem some pretty mixed reviews so I'm not sure about it anymore.

Morkula November 29th, 2006 6:41 PM

Never played it...some people have said it's better than NSMB though. I think Matty's got it (Aoriaku), might want to talk to him.

Is it just me, or does "You're the Inspiration" really come out of left field in EBA? o_O;

Samurai X November 30th, 2006 11:02 PM

If it's better than NSMB then I'm definitely going to get it.

Now that you mention it and I listened for it, it does. So what's you're favorite song on EBA?

Trikip December 2nd, 2006 7:40 AM

Hello. ;D Thanks for accepting me, Morkula.

I'm thinking about asking for EBA for Christmas...I dunno, though. I think I'd rather ask for Clubhouse Games. Not quite sure yet.

Esupio December 2nd, 2006 9:37 AM

I believe Im a member of this group thingy

I own a DS *durh*
and I just found MKDS after a long time of lost-ness
I'm probably getting Yoshi's Island DS for christmas
no EBA in the UK for a while I think

Trikip December 2nd, 2006 10:07 AM

I haven't played MKDS in a while. o.O I probably should. I've been playing ACWW a lot lately, though. I need a new gaaammme.

So do I.

I do want Elite Beat Agents, I suppose I could import it well after I get my Wii <3

Trikip December 3rd, 2006 1:29 PM

Is EBA good?

It got a great rating on IGN, but it got a horrible rating in Game Informer.

Morkula December 12th, 2006 10:29 PM

Don't listen to Game Informer. XD

EBA is my favorite DS game, along with Mario Kart. I'd play it for AT LEAST an hour or two every day before I started playing Twilight Princess. Seriously, Andrew...it's worth it. Get it. XD

Yami Rui December 14th, 2006 3:21 PM

Only DS games I own right now is Kim Possible: Kimmunicator and Mystery Dungeon Blue. They're nice games {Kimmunicator is better than the other KP games so far}

LOZ: Phantom Hourglass doesn't sound like my style of gaming {Waits then to get TP at some point}

Trikip December 15th, 2006 1:59 PM

You're just about the only person that calls me Andrew on all of PC. XD

I actually have something better on my mind, though; Wii, of course! =P

Morkula December 15th, 2006 2:22 PM

I've always called you Andrew, Andrew. XD

I think I'm pretty much satisfied with my DS games now...Clubhouse Games and MPH are just about the only things that I can think of that I want and don't have.

Gotta save up for Wii games... x_o;

Trikip December 15th, 2006 6:52 PM

Gotta save up for a Wii by itself. -_-

Clubhouse Games is on my Christmas list.

beauty. proletariat December 20th, 2006 6:00 PM

when i first got pokemon dash, i kinds broke the stylus screen, so i went to ebgames and did a trade in for a new one...
and i always lose in mario kart wifi... not fair!!

It all depends on what type of gamer you are. If you're more into traditional games then I don't know if it's a sure thing but if you love new types of games and new ways to play them then this game is great, definitely worth the money. I think that's the reason for the mixed reviews, the reviewers just don't like those type of games so no matter how good the game is they just don't appreciate it. My cousin is one of those people, he thinks it's kiddy and stupid. He gets me mad because he doesn't even play the game how it's supposed to be played, he just tries to tap the markers by using his vision and not letting his hearing help him so he gets frustrated. It's a music and rythm game not a DDR type game so let the music help you!

Oh and it's crazy how much time I put into EBA. You don't even realize that you've been playing for over two hours, you really get sucked into the game.

Morkula December 22nd, 2006 8:34 AM

DDR's all rhythm-based too. Believe me...I'm a musician. It helps tremendously in DDR/EBA/Donkey Konga. XD

And I know what you mean...I can sit and play EBA for hours and not realize that I've been playing that long. I finally cleared JJF on Sweatin' this week. Holy crap that was hard... x_o;

Samurai X December 25th, 2006 6:18 PM

I believe you, I haven't played Donkey Konga yet.

That's what a game should do, a game hasn't made me feel like that since the last Pokemon games, Pokemon gets you hooked. Yeah, are you ready for Hard Rock?

Morkula January 31st, 2007 2:51 PM

*pulls thread from the pit*
EBA on Hard Rock sucks...it's really nothing but Sweatin' with smaller circles and inverted. Trying to beat Survivor on Sweatin' now though. x.x

TRIFORCE89 January 31st, 2007 5:26 PM

I didn't know you were a musician.

I played EBA and I was awful. Mind you, I had the volume off - so that might've been a factor. XD

I do enjoy it's quirky cinematics though.

Morkula January 31st, 2007 7:09 PM

It might help if you turned the volume up, Triffy. Considering it's a, you know, music game... XD

Anyone planning on getting Diddy Kong Racing? I was really looking forward to it, but apparently Rare's screwed it up with too much touchscreen crap and shoddy porting. I'll wait and see what the final impressions are before I decide though.

TRIFORCE89 January 31st, 2007 8:02 PM

It doesn't have Banjo, therefore I'm boycotting it. XD

Morkula January 31st, 2007 8:47 PM

But Banjo's owned by Microsoft now, Triffy. Same with Conker. XD

TRIFORCE89 February 1st, 2007 5:48 AM

I know. But I'm stubborn and I miss Banjo.

You know what's strange? Diddy Kong Pilot. Rare lost the Kongs so they made it Banjo game. Now we have a true port...but no Banjo.

Morkula March 19th, 2007 6:22 PM

*pulls thread from the ashes*

I've processed all the join requests from the past month or so. Kinda forgot about them... XD

So, just a little over a month until Diamond. In one month and three days we'll all be clogging up the Wifi servers, battling and trading with each other. XD

So, anyone got/played any good DS games lately? I played Diddy Kong Racing DS in Best Buy the other day, and quite frankly, it sucked. Courses were boring, gameplay was boring, and powerups were bland and uninspired. The touch screen elements were also total crap. And I was actually looking forward to that game too. x.x

TRIFORCE89 March 20th, 2007 11:01 AM

Are the courses and powerups different from the N64 version? O_o

Trikip March 21st, 2007 4:27 PM

Aww. That's a shame. I was really looking forward to DKR since the N64 version was great.

Yea, It seemed like Nintendo/Rare really rushed into making that game. Theres only 4 new courses, All of which you have to unlock.

Then when you go on wifi, In almost all of your matches you're going to be ripped to shreds by a Wizpig, Taj, or TT (Most powerful racers that you need to unlock).

However, I love the Wifi with friends, Theres sooooooooo much to do. You can battle on wifi (In my opinion the only thing that MKDS missed) You Can do a wish race, Where you all take turns drawing a track on the touch screen the racing on it, And then you can do a signle race or a trophy race (Trophy race is a set of 4)

And off that topic, My favortie DS game is Metroid Prime Hunters, I cant count the number of hours I've played that game talking, Battleing, and ripping up my friends. If theres one game thats kept me with the DS over the months, Its that one. Take a look at it this way, My ds is falling apart I've played that game so much XD.

Morkula March 21st, 2007 5:55 PM

Triffy, I've never played the N64 version, so I wouldn't know. XD

It sucks though - the main reason I wanted DKR DS was because I'd never played the N64 version and I'd heard how good it was. But I was really unimpressed. And the touchscreen features were just outright awful.

TRIFORCE89 March 21st, 2007 6:11 PM

I didn't really like the N64 one. I enjoyed flying and I like Banjo, but Mario Kart was always superior in my eyes. Having an overworld was nifty though.

Morkula March 21st, 2007 7:08 PM

Mario Kart 64's just terrible though, so I figured DKR would be better. But apparently both of the N64-era kart racing games suck. XD

TRIFORCE89 March 22nd, 2007 2:52 AM

What's wrong with MK64? Double Dash was awful. 64 was wonderful

Morkula March 22nd, 2007 8:29 AM

I liked Double Dash. o_o;

64 had the most horrid track designs I've ever seen, and the steering in the later MK games is a lot more fluid. But the track designs are my main complaint - they're just terrible.

TRIFORCE89 March 22nd, 2007 11:09 AM

Yeah, the physics have been much improved since 64. Especially in DS. I think the track designs for 64 were much more in line with what Super Mario Kart brought us on the SuperNES. Only with depth and hills and such.

Super Mario Kart was essentially racing through Super Mario World. Mario Kart 64 was racing through Super Mario 64. Double Dash was just there. Super Circuit, I dunno - but it was fun. XD And DS was a mixture of everything.

I just found Double Dash to be gimmicky with the dual rider thing and I hated how every one was shiny. o.o

Morkula March 22nd, 2007 11:13 AM

You think everything's gimmicky. >O

I kinda liked the dual riders. It was a nice change. I was glad they brought back the traditional one-rider for DS though.

TRIFORCE89 March 22nd, 2007 11:25 AM

Not everything. Only when it is not used to it's full potential. The Wii and the DS are not gimmicky. :p Having two riders just for the sake of saying you get to control two characters - that's gimmicky. I suppose it might've been fun in multiplayer, but I didn't play a lot of that mode.

Yoshistar64 March 23rd, 2007 2:36 PM

You all make a good point, but every Mario Kart franchise is extremely wonderful. Super Mario Kart introduced Mode 7 racing, Mario Kart 64 put a nice touch to 3-D racing, or maybe even started it, Double Dash was cool because of 8 player simultaneous play, each kart having 2 people, and Mario Kart DS controls were responsive, graphics weren't too crazy so that you wouldn't know what was happening, and best of all, schooling people online!

Now you can't complain about anything about Mario Kart.

Double Dash was basically running around the Delfino Plaza and some Sunshine-like world transformations. XD

I have to disagree with you on that one as well. I personally think that two riders was a great addition seeing as it was incredibly fun in multiplayer. I played it with a couple friends and they all said the same thing - fun and addictive. So the two riders kinda were there for a purpose. XD

pokejungle April 3rd, 2007 7:32 AM

You stole this club from me ._.;

Morkula April 3rd, 2007 12:09 PM

^That wasn't spam at all. </sarcasm>
Anyway, yeah, kinda hard to manage a club when you're banned and then you leave for Japan. :x

We should really set up some MKDS tournaments or something. It'd be interesting to find out who's the best on PC.

wakachamo April 3rd, 2007 12:19 PM

^I'm afraid of just thinking of getting my butt thrashed by everybody else. XD

Morkula April 3rd, 2007 12:21 PM

I used to be really good, but I've gotten rusty because I haven't played in a while. Andy and Aussy pretty much wiped the floor with me the other night... XD

Yeah, that would be cool. I just thought about HOW we could do that. A Metroid Prime Hunters game would be good, because if you wanna take it out on someone you're mad at, you can beat 'im up. Also, we could gang up on the moderators to show them who's boss (kidding).

TRIFORCE89 April 4th, 2007 5:59 PM

You're all ganging up on me. @@

I tried to organize one in the past for Mario Kart. It fell apart. T_T;

Morkula April 4th, 2007 6:05 PM

You wouldn't allow staff to participate. That's why it fell apart. >o

TRIFORCE89 April 4th, 2007 6:06 PM

I was going to have a staff one too. I need some one to ref and watch the matches, didn't I? Why would I not use the staff for that? O_o

Yoshistar64 April 4th, 2007 6:10 PM

^ When did THAT happen? Awww, how can I miss this? If this is hurting your feelings, TRIFORCE, then sorry.

If you tried again next time, then I don't doubt you. You're pro. I just wanna see who I can or can't beat.

TRIFORCE89 April 4th, 2007 6:12 PM

It happened behind the scenes. Oooo...

You can beat me easily.

Abby3563663 April 6th, 2007 1:55 PM

Well, now the staff is significantly slimmer, so maybe it could work. Or at the very least, just have one staff member exclude himself or herself to do the refereeing. You could even do it yourself if you didn't want anyone else to do it. o.o;

Yoshistar64 April 6th, 2007 1:57 PM

Yeah, let's go with what Abby said! I'm desperate to have a Mario Kart tournament. I really wanna challenge Lunux, Croconaw, and Hayate....

Paranoia April 16th, 2007 2:38 AM

Yay, I just joined the DS clan, Woot!... anyway Sync ignore the PM, because I didn't check before I sent it, also since you guys were talking about MKDS, just wondering if any of you's are pro "snakers" and willing to teach me?

I am reasonable at the super drift boost (Orange sparkles), But I don't know for sure if snaking is with the blue sparkles or orange, so yeah if anyone can help please do.

Also did anyone get Hotel Dusk? I have it and it's ok, I haven't played far enough to know how good it is for sure though.

pokejungle April 16th, 2007 3:48 AM

Most people think snakers are cheaters. I don't think we want to teach a new person to cheat.

But yeah, I've used that to beat the NPCs a few times. I was really impressed by all the racers and karts in MKDS.

Paranoia April 16th, 2007 4:27 AM

But it isn't a cheat though, it's considered a cheat, because most people see it as cheating if they can't do it.

pokejungle April 16th, 2007 4:39 AM

Or people just want to race, and don't want to rely on something that is MADE for corners to be used on the straightaways. That's always a good argument too.

I can do it, but I don't support it.

doesn't matter April 17th, 2007 9:54 AM

MKDS is about more than speed anyway. You need to be able to use the items effectively as well. So even if you're competing against snakers, you still have items to use against them. Moreover, they can't really use them as effectively since they're to busy snaking XD

Oh, and my little brother, who's like 7 years old, figured out how to snake on his own XD I was racing him once, and I look at the bottom map to see him swerve from side to side o.o;;;

Paranoia April 18th, 2007 10:34 PM

Ahhg, is everyone better than me at DS games?

So I guess no-one's going to help me, ahh what a cruel world...

pokejungle April 19th, 2007 1:08 AM

Just practice, it's not that hard.

We should get together for a battle tournament once D/P is out in teh US. That'd be cool. The DS Clan Battle! I'd PWN you all with my Carnivine or something.

That would be cool, I'd love to play pokemon and put my skills to the test. But would you play MKDS wifi? anyone?

Anyway as you say you know how, there was only one thing I wanted to know, do I swerve and make the blue sparks appear or the orange, that's all I wanted to know.

pokejungle April 19th, 2007 1:21 AM

Oh, I think you hold down L or R and then push right and left on the D-pad back and forth very fast.

Honestly, I haven't played the game in foreeeeever. But I did beat all the Grand Prix stuff.

Paranoia April 19th, 2007 5:37 PM

I know that, but do you do it until you see orange or blue sparkles?

I think I'm a member here.

I haven't touched MKDS since I got my new router, been to lazy to enter the WEP code and all that.

Importing from America? It's a little late to get the Japanese version...

A DS Clan tournament? Now I don't think that's much different from a PC-wide tournament. Except maybe the rules and regulations.

MKDS is fun. I still play it all the time.

Soooo, Anyone here at the DS group got D/P because I wouldn't mind going in a tournament, and I'll give out a prize to the winner!, so yeah if everyone agree's I'll design it, it'll be awesome.

I've got Pearl in English and Diamond in Japanese.

I just got a DS today, but I'm not very interested in playing it....

I wish there was a pause button in D/P or on DS >_<;

Just close your DS.

I am going to import Ouendan 2 and the first Ouendan, I really liked EBA so I want to play these and I'm finally going to do it. I just have to wait for May17th...or later.

Cool, it worked! Thanks!

I'm a big disappointed I can't have multiple saves unless I buy gameshark cheatsaves device though....

I like the addition where you cant save over the main save, they made it you have to delete the save by pressing some buttons on the main screen, it's a good tactic against little kids and there save erasing ways, mwahaha

Yeah, I admit I liked that. Though I was one of those stupid people whom didn't get it the first time and had to abandon my second game cuz I couldn't save.... :P lol.

Not on my DS though. I made that mistake on my Emulator.

Review!

Well seeing as this clan is a it dead right now, I am going to spice it up with a nice review of a new DS game that has recently came out, remember peoples this is a review by me, So it doesn't mean I can guarantee you'll like it, just because I do.

Now for the review

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Game Name: Etrian Odyssey
Genre: RPG
Learning To Play Time: Give or take 30mins
Overall Rating: 8
- Gameplay Rating: 8
- Sound Rating: 7
- Control's Rating: 9
- Story Rating: 8
- Graphics's Rating: 8
Publisher: Atlus USA
Developer: Atlus USA
Release Date: May 15, 2007 (US)
ESRB: T
Plot
A forest labyrinth mysteriously opened in the land of Etria, which was named, Yggdrasil Labyrinth , Etria sent for countless adventurers to explore the labyrinth's unknown depths, but many times did an adventurer not return from the dark and intimidating forest, yet Etria did not give up, and kept sending for adventurers to risk their very lives, for fame, fortune and glory!
(LOL, at my plot, XD!!)
Gameplay
The gameplay of this game was, surprisingly, very different to normal RGPs (Specially as this is on the NDS), Apart from the story line, get quests to help NPC's, and level your character by fighting numerous monsters, you have to do complete another task, which is to map the newly found labyrinth, This is controlled using the touch screen, and you draw what you see, whilst pin pointing events of where certain things happened, and where you found treasure (Those were a couple of examples)
The game is 3D, and the character is controlled by the D-Pad, but instead of going left and right, the left and right keys change your facing, so if you want to go left, you turn left, then press up.
As graphics are skeptical on the NDS, the graphics for this game are quite pleasant, and don't look horrible like some games...*Cough* Rayman and splinter cell *cough*. Although only the world is in full 3d, the monsters are 2d sprites and when in a battle, you only see the monster sprite and when attacking, the attack sprite, which could be a slash or some magic, whilst some people may not like this, I think this compliments the game nicely. The only thing in the game that bugs me is that the main town is not 3d, I would have liked to walk in the town, like you walk in the labyrinth. (ahh I guess it's probably just me who thinks this :( )
As this is an RPG, there are classes, there is a total of nine, each with their own abilities and skills, these classes range from:
Landsknecht - This is the basic fighter class and uses swords and axes as weapons. Excels at combat.
Survivalist - This class is the ranger class and uses bows to attack.
Protector - This class is the Paladin class, who focuses on defense, but still has a nice attack stat, also can cure, so it's like 50/50 of a Landsknecht and Medic.
Dark Hunter - They use whips or swords to attack, usually used to inflict status' on enemy's, such as paralysis. Are very quick and have a nice attack stat to back them up.
Medic - The cleric class, Excels in magic that heals your team in battle and outside of battle.
Alchemist - This is the offensive magic class, the basic magic they use are fire, ice and lightning.
Troubadour - This class is a support class, which buffs defense's and attack for your party.
Ronin - I haven't made a character with this class, when I have will fill this in.
Hexer - I haven't made a character with this class, when I have will fill this in.
When you start this game, Unlike normal RPGs that have the pre-determined main characters, in this game, you create a guild, and from that you assign members into the guiled, which are created by you, so you get control over their name, sex and class, which is kind of a nice addition, as I was able to get creative with my party.
The main town of Etria is picture based, and you just see a tool bar on the left, which has certain options to do things, such as buy goods and weapons, revive a fallen party member, rest, save, and get quests. I find this a reasonable option, instead of making the town 3d like the labyrinth, but if they had made it 3d, it would have been awesome! XD!
Conclusion
I think this game is a purchase, to all people who love RPGs, and if your not sure, just try it on the NDS emulator, THEN BUY IT.
Cons
- Town isn't in 3d
- (I don't know what else, mwahaha)
Pro's
- Awesome integration of the mapping system.
- A nice interface.
- Very interesting game all over.
If you would like to see some pictures I would post up a link to gamespot, But I can't recall if it is allowed. (I can remember reading a rule that says I have to quote something from the link, But you can't quote pictures!! XD!!) Lol
Sounds cool, I'm interested in it.
And I guess if I had money I'd buy it.
Paranoia May 28th, 2007 3:48 AM
Yeah, I hate that about consoles and video games, they cost way too much, not that I buy them... but it costs alot for people who do, lol
Yoshistar64 June 8th, 2007 9:42 AM
Ahem...the poor DS clan hasn't gotten a post in about 10 days... shame on you.
Look out for the browser that we've all been waiting for, America. Along with this is 2 other games that I don't really care about, but you might.
Water-cooled DS? These bring the retro gaming back, but with an added twist. These are just mini-games, probably those short-lived mini-games in my opinion... but possibly addicting.
