Gah! The hero is bigger than his Mother! It's a good storyline, but I would make the hero smaller if it's in FR/LG or R/S/E style. Also, the Deoxys on the cover seems to be Attack form, are you going with that one or are you going to create a new form?

Space Guard October 28th, 2006 11:06 AM

1) The sprites are going to be changed...just need some ehlp on converting the D/P heroes to FR/LG style.
2) The Deoxys will be able to change form (like in D/P) according to wich stone you attach to it.

UPDATE: Finished the first town and started the first route. Working on the Professors' lab and the Starter choice

Yami Rui October 28th, 2006 11:20 AM

Well this definatly sounds like a cool game Space Guard, playing as Hikari, I'll like that.

GOOD LUCK!

Space Guard October 28th, 2006 12:22 PM

As soon as I can find fully working sprites for Hikari then I will input them into the game.
If anyone want's to help me with the graphics PM me
Screenshots for the first town will be up in the morning.

The Dash October 28th, 2006 2:19 PM

Your grass sprites are hideous..
Other than that the mapping is very bland aswell, please don't use the D/P characters with Fr/Lg sprites as they don't fit in together..

Zerus October 28th, 2006 3:17 PM

Good game man but The Dash is right. That grass is creepy.
Good luck though.

Merovin October 28th, 2006 3:58 PM

Hey man, nice come back game, looks good wish u all the luck with compelteing it adn hope u dont end up quting liek teh last times ;)
good luck cant wait for more screens

Plateface October 28th, 2006 7:55 PM

SO what's going to make me the play the game?

Space Guard October 29th, 2006 2:13 AM

I agree with all of you. I think my mapping on the first town is better than themaps I have shown you there. I'm going to change the grass and I think it will be a lot easier if I stick to the FR/LG hero srites... but what do you think? FR/LG, R/S/E or D/P style sprites? If anyone wants tohelp convert the Hero sprites to any of these types I will consider usage.
UPDATE: Re-mapped the first town, now includes a traning ground which will be used for re-matches and special battles.

EDIT: The grass has also been changed

EDIT 2: Until I can change the D/P heroes to FR/LG format, I will be substituting them for the FR/LG heros THIS IS ONLY TEMPORARY

EDIT 3: Here is a map of the first town

Wow, what an interesting game. The mix of D/P graphics and R/S/E graphics gives the game an innovative, fresh look which works well. I really like it so far. Keep up the good work.

 It looks terrible, it makes the hero bigger than every other person in the game!

Random guy: Hello extremely large 10 year old hero person!
Hero: Hello small healthy Sailor of the age 35!

See what I mean? I'm glad he's changing it, I'll help him as best I can there.

Space Guard October 29th, 2006 7:25 AM

Thanks Adam! Can you help me with the sprites please? I think Whitey Pokemon God was talking about the chipsets
UPDATE: Almost done with the Starter choosing, a demo could be out in a short while so keep your eyes peeled

Adamant Linoone October 29th, 2006 7:48 AM

This games looking good, just wondering but whats the battle system going to be like?

Space Guard October 29th, 2006 9:29 AM

The battle system is going to be like a Pokémon Battle system. With items, attacks changing PKMN and the ability to escape. I have already made a wild battle Pokemon battle. The Pokemon sprites will be from Diamond and Pearl

Zerus October 29th, 2006 10:07 AM

I like the new screen. The grass looks better now. It just was just a little too green but its ok now. Good luck with the rest of it.

Space Guard October 29th, 2006 10:41 AM

After I have done the starter choice I will try and release a Walkabout demo.
It'll be quite big as I have a movie in the intro which is 13mb. I'll try and size it down by adding a picture or something.

Adamant Linoone October 29th, 2006 11:01 AM

well the game is looking great keep up the good work ! ( try not to quit this time lol)

Space Guard October 29th, 2006 11:04 AM

It's unlikely that i'll quit...although I did say that about the other games....

Adam_148 October 30th, 2006 8:36 AM

Yeah, I'll help, just tell me what needs doing. I've made an item crate from the Pokemon Colosseum and XD games, as, during the Pokémon games, you see Pokéballs, but they're actually items, well, I have made an item crate (custom) to tackle this problem, so it's less confusing. It's not finished yet, and I have to draw an open one where the item has been taken out, but you are welcome to use it SG06.

Space Guard October 30th, 2006 11:13 PM

Thanks Adam! Does that mean you'll help out? I'll add your name to the list of helpers anyway

Adam_148 October 31st, 2006 9:49 AM

Good plan, yes I am helping out. (This time :))
Edit: I have finished revamping a tree that you can headbutt, you may remember it from GSC, well I've revamped it, and I will allow you to use it SGO6. I also have that item crate ready for use and have implemented it into a bedroom kind of chipset. Complete with many Nintendo consoles such as the Nintendo Wii (and the chipset works too). I haven't worked the tree into it yet, but if you'll send the outdoor chipset you are using I would be happy to add the item crate and the tree to it. If you wish to see the item crate now, below is a picture of it, open, and closed:
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a220/adam148/ItemCrate.png
And the tree:
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a220/adam148/HeadbuttTrees.png
Enjoy!
Adam_148
Edit2: And I prefer the term "Graphical Spriter"!
Edit: The Male Character is called Kókí.

Space Guard October 31st, 2006 10:32 AM

Thanks Adam! Could you help me de-vamp the overworlds please?
Thanks SG06

Adam_148 October 31st, 2006 11:43 AM

um... sure yeah, I'll give it a shot. You'll have to use both anyway as the secondary rival, and we'll have a shot at the normal rival or whatever, we could design a new one. I also have an improved Gamecube overworld that you can use, but to go with Diamond and Pearl, I also have a Nintendo Wii overworld, and a DS one.

Space Guard October 31st, 2006 11:44 AM

Yer...I need the hero overworlds de-vamped to RSEFRLG tyle

EDIT: Devamped the Hero Sprites. They look quite good now. They are 1 pixel taller than normal citerzen Sprites. But remeber he has a Berret on!
