Its all about time

I have always thought about something concerning hard to find pokemon in these games such as feebas. I have read many faq and i am sure that you all have to but i have to say does it really help in finding the rare pokemon you need to get like feebas.

Here is my theory on what determines you to find rare pokemon like feebas:

The more time you have played your sapphire/ruby versions, the more likely you will be able to encounter rare pokemon like feebas. I say this because every time i start again on this version, no matter how hard i try i can never find rare pokemon like feebas untill i have played the game for many many hours, then when i go to its location after a these many hours you find it immediately.

That could just be an amazing coincidence. On a completely unrelated note, is there a way of telling when EVs are maxed in one stat?

That could help, but I think theres a certain thing you need to know.

Some people catch it straight away pretty much, Like my Dad O.o

Maybe it's just because your extreme patience finally paid off. I once walked around the grass in Mt. Pyre hoping to find a Male Shuppet (for breeding purposes) and the first Pokemon I encountered was a Chimecho. I already had a Chimecho then, so I just KOed it. Lol.

Or maybe it's just luck. After beating the Elite Four for the first time (in Sapphire Version), and watching the news report prompted by walking downstairs from *my room in *my house, I flew to Mauville, Surfed to the east towards the Berry Master's house, and to my surprise, the first Pokemon I encountered was Latias. MASTER BALL. Poof!

The same goes for Shinies. It's all about luck. I've heard of others who have starting Pokemon that are shiny. They are the really lucky ones.... Wish I were one of them. [sigh...] lol.

Catching rare Pokes has NOTHING to do with how long you have played your cart. It is all about mathematical calculations. Pokes appear in the wild by a pre-set percentage of the time.

Feebas is a different story altogether. It only appears on SIX water tiles in the whole route. When you fish in a tile that contains a Feebas, I believe its percentage is 20%, which requires you to fish at least 5 times before moving on to the next tile.

Again, time has NOTHING to do with it.

Shane is right. You just got lucky if you have an easier time catching it on an old cart. I wish it did though.

I am just going to close this since it is pretty much just pointless discussion.

BTW, Lucario21, if you don't post on-topic and stop spamming, you'll be warned.
