What is the 3 best pokemon to use in battle tower?

i always use aggronlvl100 w/ solarbeam,sunnyday,aerial ace,brickbreak
metagrosslvl100 w/ psychic,earthquake,shadowball,meteormash
wobuffetlvl100 w/counter,mirrorcoat,destinybond,safeguard

~Solarys~ November 18th, 2006 10:45 PM

WTQ? Aggron with Solarbeam??? What's the point?

Use this set instead: Iron Tail + Earthquake + Brick Break + Aerial Ace, and give him Choice Band.
Aggron has no special attack so Solarbeam won't do much.

Anyway this is my team for most facilities in the Battle Frontier:

Registeel (Adamant, 252HP, 252AT) + Chesto Berry
- Curse, Amnesia, Metal Claw, Rest

Misdreavus (Bold, 168HP, 168DE, 168SD) + Leftovers
- Protect, Mean Look, Perish Song, Confuse Ray

Octillery (Hardy, 252AT, 252SA) + Lum Berry
- Surf + Fire Blast + Rock Blast + Ice Beam

Ayano Katagiri November 18th, 2006 11:06 PM

It doesnt really matter what you use as long as they have a wide range of attacks and arent all weak against one type.

I just rotate mine round and use what I feel like using.

Volta. November 18th, 2006 11:10 PM

Is Wobbuffett really effective? Its just a guessing game :\

Well, I'd recommend the Latis and/or the Regis as one of the three: the only 00bers allowed in the BT.
Take advantage of that opportunity, because your opponents do too*

If you want to know mine, its Latias/Skarmory/Swampert

*I battled an AI with Regirock and Registeel, I didn't survive to see his third pokémon T_T this was before i got my ownage team!!

Gengar/Swampert/Milotic = 7 Gold Symbols

Myzou November 20th, 2006 6:15 AM

I managed all 7 Symbols with Glalie, Raichu, and Milotic...

Glalie:

Ice Beam
Shadow Ball
Earthquake
Blizzard

Milotic:

Mirror Coat
Surf
Recover
Ice Beam

Raichu:

Volt Tackle
Thunder
ThunderPunch
Thunderbolt

Switched out items depending on what I needed xD

Volta. November 20th, 2006 6:53 PM

Oh wait, are we talking Emerald BT, or R/S BT??

shanecdavis November 21st, 2006 7:14 AM

Doesn't matter. The same concepts apply.

Gaspar November 21st, 2006 11:25 AM

Would it too much too ask the movesets for your Gengar/Swampert/Milotic shane?

shanecdavis November 21st, 2006 11:54 AM

Gengar @ Shell Bell
Trait: Levitate
- Focus Punch
- Giga Drain
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

This thing destroys teams by itself early on. Sub up and then sweep. I prefer Giga Drain since I can recover HP lost paying for Sub rather quickly on the over abundance of Water types.

Milotic @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
- Hypnosis
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Surf

Love this Poke. Absorbs special hits and even physical hits, especially when statused. Puts threats to sleep and a great switch in for an outmatched Gengar and Swampert. Takes Grass attacks with ease.

Swampert @ Lum Berry
Trait: Torrent
- Curse
- Earthquake
- Rest
- Rock Slide

Great closer and physical sweeper, especially against weak AI.

I have also used CBMence instead of Cursepert with much success as well.

Safao November 21st, 2006 12:06 PM

Mine on RS were Blaziken (100) Persian (100) and my faveroute out of ll of them Kingdra (100)

eureKa^ November 22nd, 2006 2:25 AM

im planning on using starmie, alakazam and tyranitar when i get them to level 100 on my leaf green O_o

Solarbeam is... time-consuming >__<
An electric move is better, isn't it :'>

spoken like a true trainer anyway a good powerful pokemon to use is milotic or flygon.....maybe

Legendary Squirtle December 18th, 2006 12:32 PM

I mostly use

Swampert - Muddy Water, Eathquake, Surf, Dynamic Punch

Guardevoir- Hypinosis, Phychic, Thunderbolt, Future Sight

Flygon - Fly, Dragon Breath, Dragon Claw, Earthquake

in the open lvl. opponents are about lvl 60 and I have 2 Sliver Symbols.
Battle Factory and Battle Tube

Mudkip85 December 18th, 2006 2:12 PM

I havent really got a set team but i find that both Kingdra and Metagross are a must for the team its always the third pokemon which i cant decide to have in the team.

I want to go through everything with my:

Sceptile

Leaf Blade
Dragon Claw
Solar Beam
and I might teach him Fire or Thunderpunch.

Gaudivor

Psychic
Thunderbolt
Hypnosis
Shadow Ball

And I was thinking Swellow, but I think I'll use Azumarrill. I think it's extremly underated. It's almost up there with the ChanBliss sisters and with Huge Attack, it's attack power is double. Or I'll just train Metagross or my Cradaunt somemore and I'll switch when I think it's right.

what? December 25th, 2006 8:58 PM

until i level up my EV-trained pokemon (which are great pokemon-s i might add :P)
i use
starmie, Boltbeam,surf,(psychic/skill swap)
salamence,EQ,DE,AA,DragonClaw
metagross,EQ,ShadowBall,MM,Explosion
and/or choice band slaking,ShadowBall,EQ,(HyperBeam/Strength),(BrickBreak/SlackOff)

i recommend uber-like pokemon that arent allowed in netbattle but allowed in Frontier:
Wobbuffet
[email protected]
Celebi
-Blissey ;D
Also, try Dragon Dancing TTar or Sala because the AI's are too stupid to counter Set-Ups.
Perish Song+Wobb is pretty cheap too :P

shanecdavis December 26th, 2006 3:51 AM

Celebi isn't allowed in The Battle Frontier.

Stantlerguy December 26th, 2006 4:15 AM

Pretty much always Metagross / Salamence / Heracross / Starmie.

o. i was getting things mixed up x_X
i wonder what the facility would give me battle points the quickest... i have a crapload of tutor moves to teach and i only have 70. :(

shanecdavis December 26th, 2006 11:52 AM

The fastest way is to do a double battle with another person. If you cannot do that, then do the double battle with an AI partner. If your Pokes are good enough, you can overcome the bad movesets/horribly strategy your AI teammate will employ.
