Speaking of detentions, about a week ago we had a supply teacher to substitue for our History/Music teacher. Everyone got a detention just for a classmate throwing a pen at the teacher while she was writing something on the board. She asked who did that, no response. Then she started asking everyone in the class one by one, and apparently everyone said that they didn't do it. Since no one owned up to this idiotic action, everyone else had to stay in for detention. She's a very strict teacher who doesn't even let something as small as that pass on. =\
Sounds like my bus driver, someone threw a perice of paper at her while she was driving really fast and she almost crashed the bus. She pulled over for a half an hour and yelled at us and said we were all getting written up if no one confessed. No one did of course ;; so we all got in trouble for it. As for my old one in fifth grade, if you had your foot in the isle of the bus you got written up. (which was tough since we sat in groups of three). A mom got so mad, she got on the bus and slapped the driver Oo.

As for gym, if we forget our clothes we have to pay a dollar to rent a uniform which no one likes to do since they don't wash them XP. If not, you loose all points for that day and you don't participate in any sports.

I really enjoyed the bus driver story. XD

My high school didn't have uniforms, regular or gym uniforms, but if you forgot gym clothes or proper shoes you lost all credit for the day.

I've gone to schools that had both. Though you wouldn't lose credit if you didn't wear them.

Most high schools I know wear uniforms. It doesn't really bother me wearing the same thing everyday, but I'm sure it would bother some of the girls. I hear the complain a lot of it.

Uniforms are pretty pointless if you ask me. I had to research school uniforms and do a speech on them a few years ago. I didn't really find any statistics that showed uniforms benefiting behavior or grades or anything. All they really do is take away individualism. Conformity isn't really a great idea to stress to young students that are developing a personality. =\

Made up of exams. And since I suck at exams I need really good coursework grades.

You don't lose credit for wearing them =O I wish we had that rule, and I'm kind of in a problem now since I lost my gym clothes and I have gym again in a month.

Yep XD Well, I just don't like them because they're pretty uncomfortable. But alot of girls don't like wearing them at my school because the "colros clash" XD The colros are: grey shirt and maroon shorts.

Ryoutarou December 2nd, 2006 12:04 PM

I never really had a grudge against the uniforms we had to wear. They didn't "vastly improve the behavior of the student body" like the school said they would, but they didn't make it any worse. Though that was probably because I actually liked those uniforms, the other ones I've had to wear were a heck of a lot uglier.

What do you call a dead baby smeared on a wall?
Abstract art.

What's black and blue and red all over?
The baby tied up in my basement.

Wait, a suit as in like a formal suit or a gym suit type of thing? Because, the kids on sports teams-they wear formal suits to school whenever they have an away game.

A formal suit. Year 11 have to show that they're at the top of the school by wearing a black suit rather than the normal school uniform.

I'll laugh at some of the most offensive jokes anyone has ever heard of, deady baby jokes aren't that high on the list of offensive things I've laughed...not sure what that says about me.

Sadly, I know exactly what you mean. I'd bust something more offensive out, but I don't want to open up any kiddies to mature humor. I use the term "mature humor" lightly. =P

Mature humor is always fun to hear, I first picked it up when I was like 8, good times. Yeah...I'll laugh at almost anything offensive when it's a joke, usually.

Ho-Oh December 2nd, 2006 2:06 PM

Hey everyone, I'm just going to quote something from half a page ago xx3

Quote:

We had those back in elemetary school. We had, yellow, green, blue and red. Everytime you were bad you had to flip a card and if you finidhed all of them you had to go to the principle. I only had to flip my card once and that was becuase I was talking XP
When you described that at first I thought it was a magic trick.

Why didn't the teachers just hold up the cards instead of the students?

Margot December 2nd, 2006 2:18 PM

Quote:

XD, I don't know, probably because not all students were being bad at the same time. Usually if we were all being bad she'd put a strike on the board. If we got to five, we'd have to eat lunch in the classroom and not talk.

Ho-Oh December 2nd, 2006 2:22 PM

That'd be good if it was raining and you got forced to stay in....though I don't really like the idea of no talking..

Joey the Cockroach December 2nd, 2006 2:34 PM

its raining here now.... thats all it ever does. i wish it was colder, then it would turn into snow.

Margot December 2nd, 2006 2:34 PM

True, since we'd be stuck inside anyway if it was raining. Plus, our playgrounds were so boring-the only thing we could play was wall ball XD. Yeah, since all of my friends were in my class it was pretty hard not to talk to someone, but that would only get us into more trouble ;;

It stormed/snowed by us on friday hence our snow day^^

Well on another note, I get to rent a movie today =D but I don't know what to get..any suggestions for any good movies?

Joey the Cockroach December 2nd, 2006 2:36 PM

erm..... i dont know, i wanna rent over the hedge.... but it is your choice

Ho-Oh December 2nd, 2006 2:40 PM

Anything by Hilary Duff equals good singing, the ones featuring her end up great.

If we got kept in, we would of been able to talk, because someone would have eventually made the teacher see his side, so we wouldn't have to worry.

I dont either...that's why I fall for anime characters rather than actors or singers...besides you cant dream as much with being in love with real celebs because they dont last forever...but anime characters...they will even if the show isnt on the air it doesnt mean the fandom will die totally.

Oh yeah...I just realized something. Speaking of celebs in Canada...that's where Simple Plan's studio is...it's either Toronto or Montreal I'm not sure but I know they are up there, especially since they are canadian.

When I was 4, my parents had to hold me down and FORCE me to take the pill, but they had to stop when they realize I had gotten too strong by the time I was 12. I rather have a shot.

lolz, i prefer pills voer needles.. yes needles hurt aroudn same as paintballs... but all the pain is directed into a msaller area, meaning hurts mroe! And i just dont liek the idea of a metal thingy being jabbed into my shoulder...

and as for pills, i used 2 be terified of them, but i take them now. a few years ago a 'terrible' flu was runnign around my area..a dn so my mom forced me to take 2-3 pills called "ekanasia" (Thast how it is pronoucned, how its spelt-- i have no idea XD) and one day i ahd a sleep over, and i felt sick, so my friend had 2 go home, but then like 5 min after he left, the feelign of nausea left XD

Parties, As in? Do you mean B-day parties or party...parties XD

Soari December 3rd, 2006 1:19 AM

I think she mean any type of parties like birthday parties.

Ho-Oh December 3rd, 2006 3:25 AM

Oh XDD, that's kool then.

I keep on hearing my favourite songs on the radio, just as I get into a happy-song mood, My least favourites come on...how sukeh is that...

Sankari December 3rd, 2006 7:36 AM

Whoo! The DCC has been dead for about four hours 8D I come to revive!

Songs, songs...I never listen to songs on the radio. When I do, it's a Christian station because my mom always turns it to those kinds of things...I don't really like Christian music D: There are about five songs on that whole station and it's been that way for about three years >.<

I've also played a few Pokémon games for GC. Colosseum and XD were both enjoyable. But I felt that Colosseum was slightly better than XD, in my opinion. Good luck on getting Twilight Princess, I think I'll wait until Christmas before I purchase the right game for the system.

My dad doesn't like video games all that much either. But for someone who never even looked at one prior to 1995, he ended up being pretty damn good at Dr Mario, Tetris and Zelda 2 (all on the NES) I remember he used to stay up all night playing them.

Oh, and he got obsessed with solitaire for a while after we got our first computer.

That's same for my pop, we have to pry him off that game, I don't know how he finds excitement in bouncing cards at the end...

That's pretty funny because my grandpa loves playing all of the card games on their computer too. I've tried teaching him some more complicated games, but he just likes the simplicity of the cards games. XD

Ho-Oh December 3rd, 2006 2:28 PM

Yeah, since card games were the only games they had back in their generation,...so if they played Pokemon, for example, they'd be trying to look for aces instead of Pokemon.

MegaFuz December 3rd, 2006 2:48 PM

That would be interesting seeing the elderly play Pokemon, that's for sure. I'm sure they'd have trouble keeping track of 400+ monsters. XD

Ryoutarou December 3rd, 2006 4:27 PM

I've seem some old people play Pokemon before. It's kinda funny, but the guy was better than most others I'd seen. XD

Lol I havent seen anyone that is older than 30 play Pokemon. Its really outdated and "childish" to most people here. Actually almost anything to do with TCGs, games or anime is seen as nerdy or childish here. Meh.... but I still do it.

Interesting. I've never seen anyone older than maybe 20 play before. In person anyway...

Traditional card games are heaps of fun, don't you forget that.

Seriously, I'd rather play cards with my mates till daybreak then to sit at home and play computer games.

Kylie-chan December 3rd, 2006 8:57 PM

I don't know how to play normal card games. >__>; Except for that fish one, which... does that count? xD;;; oh & I used to know the rules for Snap... but I forgot them... >.>;;;
