Vileplume ?
Hey dawgs.
Vileplume is cool but I don't know a good moveset. Ideas ? I love you. |

Vileplume has always been a very tricky pokemon to handle when it comes to setting its moves. To start off with i always give it miracle seed as it boosts its gass attacks nicley. For its moves it goes like this:
Sleep Powder- This move is a must for Vileplume as although its accuracy is 75%, its effect is immense in battles and for catching those pokemon that need hard skill to catch. Solar beam- This is one of the most powerful grass moves there is. You hit with this and youll cause major damage to your opponent. Sunny day- If your going to have vileplume learn solarbeam, then you are going to need sunny day as it helps launch solarbeams straight away in 1 turn not have to wait untill it builds up. Once this move is used youve got 5 turns to let 5 powerful solarbeams rip! Sludge Bomb- This is the last move you should consider in your moveset as it deals out 90% damage at a 100% accuracy ratio. In addition it has 30% chance of making the opponent poisoned. However, if you want to make the most of your miracle seed, then i suggest you replace sludge bomb with a strong grass attack maybe razorleaf of petal dance although not as powerful as sludge bomb its worth it as you increase the original power of the move when holdin miracle seed. Lastly, i sress and seriously do mean stress when i say do not teach vileplume moonlight or any recovering move for me its always been useful and you always have sleep powder to defend yourself if you ever get into any trouble. Anyways good luck with your Vileplume hope helped you out. |
Nyah, clueless, clueless, clueless...this is why topics like this one should go in the Strategies and Movesets forum. -.-
First off, Sunnybeam Vileplume sucks and Miracle Seed is a joke. A 10% bonus to Grass moves means absolutely nothing compared to the HP recovery provided by Leftovers. Also, while Psypoke is a good source for learnsets and suchlike, their movesets, with all due respect, tend to suck pretty bad, and their EV spreads are defficient, so I really wouldn't recommend that site for actual movesets. As for a proper Vileplume...well, the dead standard one is a walling cleric type: Vileplume @ Leftovers Nature: Calm Giga Drain Stun Spore/Sleep Powder Aromatherapy Leech Seed/Synthesis/Hidden Power [Fire/Ice] (Hidden Power for Netbattle and IV breeders only) Personally, I prefer a slightly more aggressive one, though: Vileplume @ Leftovers Nature: Careful Sludge Bomb Swords Dance Stun Spore Synthesis With a Swords Dance or two to back it up, those STAB Sludge Bombs become very formidable indeed, and with Stun Spore to slow opponents down and Synthesis to regain HP lost in buffing, it has the potential to stick around for quite a bit. Poison, Ground and steel types should just be paralyzed and retreated from, though. In any case, there's no point in turning Vileplume into a Sunnybeamer since Victreebel does a far better job at that department. |
Let me move this to where this should really go!
