Don't let your little bro...

Don't let your little bro... take your pokemon gold outside. I let mine and the bottom was full of dirt... I decided to see if anything would happen if i played it with the dirt xD... and my level 83 lugia was replaced with a level 251 Rhydon and my Level 29 Gyarados was a level 189 Seadra holding a TeruSama... And the weirdest part is my level 251 Rhydon's STAT screen took me to box 1! (which i used when my pokemon got weak in battle to take out one of my numerous mewtwos...) It was sorta cool but sorta freaky...

Red1530 December 15th, 2006 12:40 PM

You are lucky not to have your game destroyed.

Melody December 15th, 2006 12:53 PM

indeed you are lucky you encounered only mior useful glitches...

~*!*~Tatsujin Gosuto~*!*~ December 15th, 2006 2:15 PM

Yea, thats what usually happens, but your lucky and thats great, i wish that can happen with all of the versions

:t354:~*!*~Queen Boo~*!*~

dude_dude December 16th, 2006 7:57 PM

Does that only happen with gold? Or silver and crystal too? It sounds very strange...

Mudkip85 December 17th, 2006 2:52 AM

I guess it could happen to any version, however its really risky as t could corrupt your game save file.

~Kipper~

Auron December 18th, 2006 8:45 AM

With the dirt removed, the game goes back to normality ??

-:Buro-kun Tsubasa:- December 18th, 2006 9:35 PM

Lucky you. I once left pokemon blue outside. It rained.

Did anything odd happen?

Anyways i decided to fill up the cartidige with some muddy grass and now my game wont let me trade with silver, however i still can trade with r/b/y and crystal and gold. I just checked my box to see when i push withdraw on my 3rd mewtwo in box 1 it takes me to the place where sudowoodo used to be and now when a trainer walks up to me i turn into a sudowoodo icon and shake but i still can battle its pretty weird...

Cornicapus December 23rd, 2006 9:32 PM

Youre lucky you got some useful glitches... when my Gold version turned up in the washing machine my game was almost wrecked beyond rapair.... but i got some funny/bad gitches

TheFrozen December 24th, 2006 2:40 AM

Hey, when my brother borrowed my pokémon gold he let a friend of his borrow it that STOLE it... -__-;; They have never seen each other anymore. And it was my pokemon gold ;__;

Iced December 24th, 2006 6:00 PM

BAD NEWS: my pokemon gold after pouring sierra mist in it... it just says POTION x(glitch block)3 all over when i turn it on...

dude_dude December 24th, 2006 8:15 PM

Hahah that's funny you were just experimenting a bunch of things ;).

Scales December 24th, 2006 8:28 PM

Lord_Sesshoumaru January 8th, 2007 2:52 AM

You should keep your games away from children, especially your younger brother....

Sanky January 8th, 2007 12:58 PM

Whoops ... Poor gold. Could you get some screenshoots/photos? Coz' it would be very interesting !

Guest123_x1 January 8th, 2007 8:08 PM

All video game cartridges will do odd things if you expose them to undesirable conditions like those all stated above in previous posts. Doesn't matter what game title or version or make or whatever. (That's why the instruction/warning booklets tell you how you have to be careful with them!-especially considering how expensive and hard-to-find it is to replace them!)

Honestly, I don't find any of these "glitches" caused the least bit funny.

Scales January 10th, 2007 7:20 PM

This is why I emulate all my GBA games. Unless I need to go on a road trip or something where im away from the computer. Then I need to use the GBA. So that little brothers cant put dirt in anything

(I dont have a little bro BTW)

♥~*Abby*~♥ February 5th, 2007 8:50 AM

thats one weird glitch. im not risking MY gold version though. not after beating the elite 4 and getting a team of six pokemon in the sixties.

omfx___harley February 6th, 2007 7:05 PM

that bites. my friend, she said that she dropped her pokemon crystal and it freaked, so when she turned it back on, her slowpoke and pidgeot had psycho nicknames with over 2000000 jumbled characters. she had to release them. and once, i accidentally let pokemon blue go for a ride in the wash, and it was so weird! my lv. 56 blastoise was a lv. 30 rattata and my lv. 52 jolteon was a lv. 71 venusaur, and i couldn't use either pokemon in battle, THEN, all my pokeballs were something called master ball X and i didnt even TRY that and my hyper potions were called sspotionX and when i tried that, it turned a lv. 47 pidgeot into a lv. 89 mew that wouldnt work (after i turned it off) and when i went to get another pokemon out of the box, they were all lv. 2! (some were rhydon, tangela, and pikachu):(

Always and Never February 6th, 2007 8:04 PM

lol, tell your little brother there are quicker ways to dig holes than with gameboy games.

Fox♠ February 8th, 2007 10:42 AM

Sure wish cool stuff would happen when I break my games. Bomberman sometimes blows up randomly on my PS1 cuz of the scratches.

My silver got paint in it, but it still works.

kuribohgx February 10th, 2007 1:53 PM

my ruby was in my pants in the washing machine and nothing realy bad happened. the only thing that happened was that i gained a few extra potions, and my berry's stopped growing

Always and Never February 10th, 2007 2:47 PM

i got mad at my gold once and threw it. The game wouldn't go past ho-oh and on top of that it was flying backwards... weird.

Pokemon Breeder Zoria February 19th, 2007 8:43 AM

XD Uhh... I would never let anyone play with my games. The only glitches I do is Missingno, Mew, and Cloning. When I use missingno, though, I stuff it with a rare candy as fast as I can so it will evolve. XD

Rainfall February 19th, 2007 10:29 AM

Don't let your younger brother or sister or your older brother or sister get your stuff is the real warning here. XD I'm sorry to hear about your loss, though.

Naito February 19th, 2007 12:02 PM

Lol. Something like that happened to me before. I accidently had Pokemon Crystal fall out of my pocket into a pond after forgetting I had it in there. The game still worked, but my starter was now level 1 (and KO'ed EVERYTHING in one hit). All my pokeballs were replaced with Master Balls. Whenever I bought something from the shop, I gained 5,000 Pokedollars. Plus the only move my Pokemon had was flamethrower. That one was a rental however. :D So I just bought myself a new one at a local Wal-Mart and was more careful with it.

Rainfall February 19th, 2007 12:14 PM

I dunno, with that kinda stuff I'd probably try to buy the rental one. XD No, not really, I like to actually play the games fairly. Another lesson, don't drop your games in a pond. XD

Always and Never February 19th, 2007 1:14 PM

I guess this thread is all about liquid glitches.

I dropped my Crystal in a puddle once. The pokemon wouldn't stop moving and when I talked to suicune it said T'Glitchbox'' Runtime Error and it made a Charizard noise.

♥~*Abby*~♥ February 19th, 2007 1:19 PM

thats weird... my friend once dropped her crystal in the mud and her level 54 meganium turned into a level 125 rattata that knew sacred fire and quick attack. it was weird...

Pokemon Breeder Zoria February 19th, 2007 2:55 PM

I forgot to add: I had Pokemon Red when I was super little, and I Put it in a bowl of water and but that bowl in the freezer. When I took it out, I had a level 524 caterpie which knew... Hypersand? That was weird.... And all my pokemon had turned into that, and I had 45 Teru-samas....

Always and Never February 19th, 2007 3:17 PM

lol! Goldsicles........ Im gonna go trythat.

omfx___harley March 2nd, 2007 4:02 PM

lolz this is weird but my bros friend left his red or yellow i think i dunno in the rain and it was creeepy....he said it was in glitch city when he saved it and he was on cinnibar when he turned it on.....not only that he was a moltres! he could use his pokemon and all but then he got challenged by a trainer that was his friend who he had fought before.....he won, but then his game crashed......he had to reset it twice before he was normal again.....WEIRD!

Quote:

I heard that doing so will kill your game....whatever, better you than me, chum.

Absolitude March 2nd, 2007 4:56 PM

I once accidentally left my emerald in my pocket and my mom washed. I left it out to dry, and no fun gliches have occurred, the battery just doesn't work, so i can't grow berries or do time based things like the super sale, and stuff. Mabye i should dip it in a soapy bath and hope for the best.

that happened to my ruby game. DONT put it in the bath, you go to this place called bulbapedia and search up "berry glitch" it will tell you how to fix it but so far, i haven't had a volenteer helper to work the lg.......

kuribohgx March 3rd, 2007 6:24 PM

i accidentaly banged my crystal on the wall and when i turned it on all of the pokemon in my box dissapeared and my character turned into the red girl. then i saved it and turned it off. then when i turned it on i turned into the regular girl. i tried banging it again the turn back to the guy but it didnt work.

Bkue March 3rd, 2007 6:36 PM

Mmmm Well im not the kind of person who goes around lighting his games on fire, So I have no glitches for you guys. The glitches I really do are ones like the Missingno trick, and other funny things that I trust. I know the Missingno trick can mess up your game, But I just do it carefully.

Always and Never March 3rd, 2007 7:14 PM

I have a bunch of extra copies for the original games... If I want to give one up I don't care... I only have two red versions left, though...

Lord_Sesshoumaru March 7th, 2007 9:42 PM

That's exactly what happened to my Crystal version too, exept for banging my tape and the missing pokemon in my box... I don't know what really happened with my crystal but when I continued my game(my character was a boy and I was in the league), my character became a red girl and I just continued my game. After the league, my character became a normal blue girl and my Typhlosion turned from a male to a female....Weird...

Hey, mine too...But what was different is that my crystal version fell from the window of my room and that my Typhlosion didn't changed it's gender...

Smooth_Crystal March 13th, 2007 9:40 PM

my friend gave me his yellow game and i put it in started new game and everytime i go to mt.moon u walk in then the screen goes fully black you cant see anything then it just restarts it self after a couple of seconds

The yellow version what your friend gave you might be old....

Billiards Koopa March 28th, 2007 2:08 PM

This is a glitch I never heard anyone else talk about, and it's a MissingNo. One. My mom gave me my first GB, she found it in a parking lot (LOL) and It had Pokemon Blue Version in it. I played it up to the end and began catching PokeMon.. Halfway through one of the buildings, (either Pokemon Mansion or the Power Plant, I think the first) I encountered a Muk-Like Pokemon. It was facing the opposite direction as a normal one and was called MissingNo! It knew all the attacks my Charizard knew. I tried to catch it, but I failed and it fainted from burn damage.

Naito March 28th, 2007 4:05 PM

Several months ago, I was playing Pokemon Emerald trying to catch Lugia and Ho-Oh. In the middle of saving, my DS displayed several black dots all over the screens and eventually the DS shut off (the DS I used had buttons that didn't work, and screwed up in a lot of other ways). When I turned the DS back on, all my pokemon were level 325 and whenever I used one of their attacks, they fainted. O_o. Resetting fixed it, however I lost the Aurora Ticket or whatever that made you go to the island with Lugia and Ho-Oh. I had to use a GameShark to get that ticket again, and I traded the DS in for a DS Lite.

This isn't the place to ask. ^^;; I'll answer anyway.

XD is a laughing smilie. Tilt your head and you'll see it better. It is also the name of one of the Pokemon Gamecube games. You should be able to tell which one's which.

I haven't broken my Pokemon games; I treat my games fairly well. I did get a kind of glitchy Red version once. It wouldn't save, if I remember correctly. It was used though, so that explains it. XD

You think thats bad? i have a pokemon yellow that is so messed up from the various cheat codes i used on it that it won't even save anymore, every time i switch the game on it just says new game, i also had a pokemon gold that went the same way, but i traded that to someone i knew for his cheat cartridge in revenge for him restarting my pokemon blue with a complete pokedex :D i often wonder how long it took him to realise he'd been shafted.

[email protected] March 29th, 2007 6:23 AM

That's cool. I know somebody who put their blue in the washer, and when it came out, everything was fine exept.... everybody looked like the main character. Also, once i had a gba advance video, and it went through the waher and dryer (twice), and it was perfectly fine!

Yes, the characters where replaced with Misigno graphics, and it froze alot.

~NeonFire~ March 30th, 2007 5:47 AM

That's a weird glitch. I wouldn't try it with mine, though.

omfx___harley April 10th, 2007 1:48 PM

both my gold and silver are corrupt......whenever i turn gold on, it works fine, and it never saves my restart files.......then i load it and when it has the box that says "player name -----
play time-------
pokedex---" etc,
it has a file i haven't used in years, then as soon as i start playing, im right by lance........ it freezes right away....instead of the box on silver, it says "the data file is corrupt!" and makes meh restart.......
