Don't let your little bro...
Don't let your little bro... take your pokemon gold outside. I let mine and the bottom was full of dirt... I decided to see if anything would happen if i played it with the dirt xD... and my level 83 lugia was replaced with a level 251 Rhydon and my Level 29 Gyarados was a level 189 Seadra holding a TeruSama... And the weirdest part is my level 251 Rhydon's STAT screen took me to box 1! (which i used when my pokemon got weak in battle to take out one of my numerous mewtwos...) It was sorta cool but sorta freaky...

You are lucky not to have your game destroyed.
|
indeed you are lucky you encounered only mior useful glitches...
|
Yea, thats what usually happens, but your lucky and thats great, i wish that can happen with all of the versions
:t354:~*!*~Queen Boo~*!*~ |
Does that only happen with gold? Or silver and crystal too? It sounds very strange...
|
I guess it could happen to any version, however its really risky as t could corrupt your game save file.
~Kipper~ |
With the dirt removed, the game goes back to normality ??
|
Lucky you. I once left pokemon blue outside. It rained.

Anyways i decided to fill up the cartidige with some muddy grass and now my game wont let me trade with silver, however i still can trade with r/b/y and crystal and gold. I just checked my box to see when i push withdraw on my 3rd mewtwo in box 1 it takes me to the place where sudowoodo used to be and now when a trainer walks up to me i turn into a sudowoodo icon and shake but i still can battle its pretty weird... |
Youre lucky you got some useful glitches... when my Gold version turned up in the washing machine my game was almost wrecked beyond rapair.... but i got some funny/bad gitches
|
Hey, when my brother borrowed my pokémon gold he let a friend of his borrow it that STOLE it... -__-;; They have never seen each other anymore. And it was my pokemon gold ;__;
|
BAD NEWS: my pokemon gold after pouring sierra mist in it... it just says POTION x(glitch block)3 all over when i turn it on...
|
Hahah that's funny you were just experimenting a bunch of things ;).
|
Well I dont have younger siblings. But why did your little bro put dirt in the game?

Wait how old is your sibling? 4 years old?

You should keep your games away from children, especially your younger brother....
|
Whoops ... Poor gold. Could you get some screenshoots/photos? Coz' it would be very interesting !

All video game cartridges will do odd things if you expose them to undesirable conditions like those all stated above in previous posts. Doesn't matter what game title or version or make or whatever. (That's why the instruction/warning booklets tell you how you have to be careful with them!-especially considering how expensive and hard-to-find it is to replace them!)
Honestly, I don't find any of these "glitches" caused the least bit funny. |
This is why I emulate all my GBA games. Unless I need to go on a road trip or something where im away from the computer. Then I need to use the GBA. So that little brothers cant put dirt in anything
(I dont have a little bro BTW) |
thats one weird glitch. im not risking MY gold version though. not after beating the elite 4 and getting a team of six pokemon in the sixties.
|
that bites. my friend, she said that she dropped her pokemon crystal and it freaked, so when she turned it back on, her slowpoke and pidgeot had psycho nicknames with over 2000000 jumbled characters. she had to release them. and once, i accidentally let pokemon blue go for a ride in the wash, and it was so weird! my lv. 56 blastoise was a lv. 30 rattata and my lv. 52 jolteon was a lv. 71 venusaur, and i couldn't use either pokemon in battle, THEN, all my pokeballs were something called master ball X and i didnt even TRY that and my hyper potions were called sspotionX and when i tried that, it turned a lv. 47 pidgeot into a lv. 89 mew that wouldnt work (after i turned it off) and when i went to get another pokemon out of the box, they were all lv. 2! (some were rhydon, tangela, and pikachu):(

lol, tell your little brother there are quicker ways to dig holes than with gameboy games.
|
Sure wish cool stuff would happen when I break my games. Bomberman sometimes blows up randomly on my PS1 cuz of the scratches.
My silver got paint in it, but it still works. |
