I know, I love seeing new places<3 but some people really do get homesick, like my friend for example. She hates going anywhere but I love going to different places. I've been out of my state a few times but only over sea's once. I got to go to Egypt when I was about eight with my dad to see some realitives that moved out there =D

Well, I don't go out very much, but I would only go out of my house if it was to a different place rather than around broing little Canberra. :classic: So many countries I want to go to...Japan, Mexico, China, Brazil, Thailand, India, and the list goes on... :P

My bad! You did say install! Even online, I'm clumsy! :nervous: So it's used to scan quality pictures, because the quality of that picture depicting your avatar is great! The person looks so real, and you've got all the right colours and shades and detail. Great job Kura! ;)

Thanks~ X3 And don't worry, I'm pretty clumsy online, too~ @@ I always typo or mess things up~ X3 But oh well~~ That's just me, I guess~

Yeah, I would want to travel a whole bunch of places, too~ I've been around to some countries, but it's always fun exploring <3~

Heh, I never knew the person in your avatar was part of a Japanese rock/metal band! I always thought he was like a wrestler of some sort! :X Anyways, when I notice any errors, I just edit it! :P

I would love to live somewhere in Asia for a few years, and maybe even find a wife there! XD Who am I kidding? I want to go there for the fun, and plus I plan to get married in my 30s, so I can enjoy my 20s living life a single man and having fun going to places. ;)

Yes, China and Japan are definatley on the top of my list. We just got done learning about those places in History and it seems like they would be very interesting places to visit. My cousin actually lives in Thailand with his wif eand he loves it, so i guess that place has to be fun. As for Brazil, we watched a movie about it and it's a really cool looking place =D

Also, I agree that picture was fantastic Kura^^

My family comes from Laos, which is right next to Thailand, so I'm bound to have cousins living there. I also have relatives living all the way in the US and Canada, some in Europe and UK, and obviously here in Aus as well! :D My parents know Thai; maybe I could learn from them. I can't speak Thai, though I understand some words. :X In the future I should learn Chinese and Japanese also, because I would love to stay there for some time even. :)

Heh, she should just take her time to enjoy life at the fullest, than get married! ;) Actually, I have uncles who are still single, yet they're nearing their 40s, and they're still at it like 20 year olds! XD

Margot January 28th, 2007 3:27 PM

Wow, you have family in a lot of places-I only know of Norway and Libya, my cousin had to move there to live with his wife who is from Thailand. I know no Thai xP However I've been studying Japanese for about a year now so I'm getting better. I also know some arabic but not too much.

Yeah, I told her she should enjoy time to herself but she disagreed-so I guess some people just want different things. I'm sure she'll change her mind as she nears the end of high school.

Goku Goku January 28th, 2007 3:42 PM

We people all have different opinions - some peopl dream to have a family, while others prefer being single. Well, if you're single you're free to flirt with people! :P Jokes, but yeah, if that decision makes her happy, then that's that. ;)

Well, my family's pretty big, but really I hardly know any of them, let alone have met them! :nervous: I only keep in contact with one or so uncle, and some living here in Aus, but that's just it. :\

Kylie-chan January 28th, 2007 11:54 PM

My family's pretty big too, I have cousins everywhere and I wouldn't know half of them. I don't really care either, socialising scares me, and that includes with my family. =_=

I just don't socialise with anyone much - I hate doing that! I'm an anti-social guy who stays indoor at all times! :P Well, I only know my intermediate family, but not much of the extended. I'm not really close to my relatives, but it doesn't matter. :X What matters are my future descendants, and that's that. ;)

Ho-Oh January 29th, 2007 1:13 AM

I only socialise with adults. They 'get' me. The other little Children don't.

I try to ignore my Dad's side of the family, because I don't get along with idiots.

I socialise mainly with teenagers, but I do hang with kids (some of my cousins) sometimes. Well, me too - my dad's side strange, and apparently they're not such smart peoples... :\

Ho-Oh January 29th, 2007 1:20 AM

I just realised I capitalised children. Uhoh.

My Dad's side is okay, by games, but when they havent got a controller stuck in their sweaty little hands, they are stupid as.

Goku Goku January 29th, 2007 1:26 AM

Well, there's always gonna be equal amounts of stupid and smart members of my family, but I only know 90% of them, mainly ones who live near my place... :\

Ooh this place could use more emoticons! :X

Ho-Oh January 29th, 2007 1:28 AM

I disagree. Some people are stupid, have stupid children and the stupidity is put to no end. Unless, they try hard, which I don't see happening to stupid people.

PC, DCC or both? XD

Goku Goku January 29th, 2007 1:33 AM

Erm...both? :nervous: What was the point of asking that? :\

Anyways, I guess you're right, but it depends if the child is smart enough to realise that his/her family is a hole...however, that person needs to have someone to actually influence them though, but it's really up to the person. I mean, bad people don't always have bad children. ;)

Ho-Oh January 29th, 2007 2:23 AM

Right..

Yeah, children only have some of their parents bad qualities, and the rest, Well it's their own decision I guess.

TV Oprah right?

Some people couldn't be leaders, they wouldn't know the difference between good and bad..

Ho-Oh January 29th, 2007 3:21 AM

But some people have tough lives, and can't overcome their problems, and even if they do believe, they can't make a difference.

Ho-Oh January 29th, 2007 3:26 AM

Yeah. Though each president/Prime minister, Don't actually deserve the power, because they make some stupid decisions, and have more faults than some of the actually residents of the country they reside.

Ho-Oh January 29th, 2007 3:31 AM

XD

But why do voters vote for the certain ones, Is the only quality that they look good? And not that they actually are smart.

Ho-Oh January 29th, 2007 3:35 AM

I thought voters would have learnt their lesson then, The lies can't be that appealing.

Ho-Oh January 29th, 2007 3:41 AM

Yeah. I'd probably vote for the less liked side, because they normally seem to be more truthful.

Yah.

Ho-Oh January 29th, 2007 3:49 AM

I can tell the difference between stupidity and good, so yeah. The second reason is probably why I would be voting for them.

Stupidity doesn't deserve to win.

Kylie-chan January 29th, 2007 2:55 PM

As a collective, all of humanity is stupid anyway, might as well vote for the one that's less likely to send hitmen after rebels.

doesn't matter January 29th, 2007 3:20 PM

Heh, I probably won't care about who I'm voting for till I tun 25 or something, and hence end up doing donkey votes till that age.

I think I'm just too lazy to really care ^_^

That's nice... but next time try to comment on the current topic first before you go and randomly change the subject like that. We're trying to promote real conversations in here, and having people come in with random comments doesn't really help.

Anyway, speaking of concerts or whatever, I'm going to one on Thursday. I'm so excited. <3

And on the previous topic of voting and politics... I'm not really into politics all that much mainly because I just don't have the time to listen to everything that's going on in the world. However, I did vote last election day.

top8inU.S.A. January 29th, 2007 4:27 PM

I'm happy. The superbowl may be coming to the city where I live!!! [Fort Wayne, IN]

Goku Goku January 29th, 2007 7:20 PM

On the politics, I couldn't care less about it, but if i voted I would vote for who I think will do a good job. Really though these leaders are just there to act as our head of state - it's all about the laws. ;)

Never been to a concert, but I would go to maybe a Japanese concert! :D

Ho-Oh January 29th, 2007 7:44 PM

I can't remember whether I had been to a concert, but from what I see on TV, and news, I don't think I'd want to go to any. Ecept if it was Pokemon or any anime I know, which would be very unlikely.

Mario Famous January 29th, 2007 8:41 PM

When I went to Japan to handle some business, I went to a Puffy ami Yumi concert. Lol, this was a while ago...some of my friends wanted to go to it so badly so I decided to go with them. Aside from trying translate the songs fast enough to keep up, it was actually pretty good.

Simplicity January 29th, 2007 11:22 PM

I'm not into concerts, not that type of person...^_^;

I just started school today, the pain...8D The only good thing was that my friend moved up a class so now she's in my class..which take all the pain away. xD

Goku Goku January 30th, 2007 12:11 AM

I'm also not a concert person. I remember going to this Pokemon event at the mall once...does that count as a concert? :P

Ho-Oh January 30th, 2007 12:17 AM

Pokemon doesn't count..If it did...well, they should have live Pokemon. Of which they don't. Nintendo events for Pokemon are fun anyway.

I've never known my dad's side of the family well. My mum's side is quite small, even though she has a brother and a sister, one is which has children. We've got a few cousins in the family, but I haven't got many uncle's etc. I'm not sure if I'm really bothered though, I'm really close to the family I've got, so that's good. I think my dad's side is pretty small, I wouldn't know though. I know his dad died a few years ago, so I wouldn't have a granddad there either, heh. And I know he's got a sister with... maybe a child. That's all I really know about his side.

Dawson January 30th, 2007 9:27 AM

My family is huge on both of my parents' sides. Between them, my parents had sixteen brothers and sisters, although three have died in the past few years. And I've lost count of the number of cousins I have, a rough guess would be in the thirty-fourty region.

My family is quite old fashioned in that way, in the need to have a large family. As most aunts and uncles have three or four kids, even in my family there are four. And because of how I was brought up, I want a pretty big family too, with three or four kids.

Ryoutarou January 30th, 2007 9:42 AM

My grandparents had a lot of kids, on both sides, it's like they used that bed for everything but actual sleep. My aunts and uncle don't have that many kids, maybe two or three, but I have like 20 aunts and uncles, so it still adds up to be a pretty big family. I've got 50 or so cousins in total, of which I've probably only ever met 20ish, if that.

Sorano January 30th, 2007 10:03 AM

My family is pretty small, I think. :x A lot of my family members live in England, so I've never met them before. I only personally know 9 cousins, 5 aunts {one is in England}, 3 uncles, my Grandpa and Grandma, my Nana and Papa, my great-grandmother, and my parents and brother. I consider that small. XD; And out of those I only see one aunt and uncle, Grandpa, Nana and Papa, 4 cousins and my parents and brother frequently. The others are either dead or don't get along well with my other family members.

*~Ashley~* January 30th, 2007 10:16 AM

My mom's side of the family is Italian, so it's huge. She only has one sister with two sons, so our close family isn't big. But my grandmother has two brothers and a sister, and each of them has at least three children. She was the only one that only had two. And at family events, EVERYONE is invited, so it's a lot of people. And all of my mom's cousins have at least two kids each. My cousin and I are the oldest, then there's my cousin and my sister... and almost everyone else is under the age of eight. ><;;

My dad's side is smaller, but I have more cousins. He has a sister and two brothers. And all of them have children. I have *counts* six cousins and two half cousins on that side of the family. And one of my cousins has two kids now. The only one younger than me (other than those two babies) on this side of the family is my sister...

My family isn't *that* big though. I don't see most of them often anyway. Usually just for Christmas or other special events. I see my mom's family more often though, since they are Italian, after all. And then there's the random people related to me that live in either Italy or Australia, but I obviously never see them. XD;

That's one of the reasons why I love how big my family is. Milestone birthday/anniversary parties, engagements, wedding receptions have always been huge. We have to rent out a pub or social club for the evening just to fit everybody in. For one celebration, we'll have upwards of one hundred people there consisting of relatives, partners of relatives and their friends too.

Also, the majority of my cousins are roughly my age or older. I am one of the youngest of the cousins, but 80% of us range between 15-25 years old now. So it was always fun growing up with them, being how we're of similar ages.

MegaFuz January 30th, 2007 1:27 PM

My family is incredibly small. My dad's side of the family is a lot larger than my mom's side, but still not as big as a lot of families. I think I have something like a total of 6 cousins, only 4 of which I see regularly.

I hate it, actually. I hate having all these really annoying people that I don't really know or like coming to everything. Just to be nice, I've always been forced to go and hug everyone and say hi to them, even when I don't even know who they are, and it's annoying. <<;

My mom's side sucks because it's mostly little kids. It's my cousin Craig and I who are both 18, then my cousin Justin is 16. My sister's only 13. The four of us are really, really close though. And then most everyone else I either can't stand or they're under the age of eight...

And then on my dad's side, I'm one of the youngest. I always feel awkward around them because I'm so much younger than they are. The next youngest other than my sister and me is one of my cousins who is 20, I believe. Everyone else is in their mid-upper 20s.

Dawson January 30th, 2007 1:54 PM

Well, I'm just glad that I like the majority of my family, then. XD Seriously, most of us share similar interests and just generally have similar personalities. Like, there have been times when a bunch of my cousins, uncles, brothers and I have all gone to the park with a football (soccer ball) and just played for hours, then we just sat around on the grass telling jokes and funny stories. And I've always enjoyed those times.

Ho-Oh January 30th, 2007 2:23 PM

My family never gets together to spend time. Aside from after bowling where I see my Dad's side uggh, My mum's I never see. Though this weekend we are going to my aunties 50th? Birthday party. Which I can guarantee we'll all be talking..

Margot January 30th, 2007 2:53 PM

On my Dad's side I have around 20 something aunts and uncles but they live mainly in Libya and Egypt. My Mom's family however is very small, I have two aunts and uncle I've met once and that was last year. The rest of my mom's family lives in Norway, I'm going there next summer to meet my other cousins and whatnot XD

I only see my mom's side and that's on holiday's-but everyone is either really old or really young T-T Only one person is my age and we don't speak D=.

Goku Goku January 30th, 2007 6:13 PM

I know family who have been friends with my family for years, and I'm really close to them, though we aren't related in anyway. However, I like to refer to them as my relatives sometimes... :) I'm closer to them my real relatives could ever be - I don't know my relatives much, and besides most of them don't know me. My father's side lives near where live, and as for my mother's side there's hardly any living in Australia, and most have remained back in Laos. I would say my father's family is way bigger than my mum's. I think one of my paternal great-grandfather had several wives, which may clarify a few things. :\ From what I think my dad's side aren't too smart or bright, while my mum's side are more educated (though living in a developing country) and kind. Actually, one of my mum's brother doesn't keep in contact with anyone, and is rather self-caring, while my other uncles are never giving up trying to contact to him. For me, I just want to get away from them and just be with those who support, though aren't real family. It's always does not related to you that are good, right? That's how I see. I do contact one of my maternal uncle though... Most of my (paternal) relatives that I know are either little toddlers, or young (unsuccessful) adults. They know lots of other families, so I find it confusing of who's related to me or not (but I don't care). It's arkward to go to one of their gatherings, because no-one's gonna know me, and vice versa...

And we see my mom's quite often, as they live in Hamilton, which is only a half hour's drive northeast of where i live. Thing is, in sports, my family is just different. My grandfather watches golf and soccer. My uncles watch football, baseball and nascar, my brother watches hockey and me n ma dad watch basketball. I also play basketball, my bro used to be good, but he got bored of it, so i own him now, and he's 7 years older then me, tsk, i'm quite dissapointed in him, lol. Not really, cuz he smokes, and his shot is just horrid now. And whenever we get together, guess what they talk about.... POLITICS! GAWD!! SOOO BORING!

Anyways, rant over, sorry all. ^.^

Well, I only have one cousin who's a friend but I've only met up with her once and she only visited for a week. On my dad's side I don't have any relatives and on my mom's I have two uncles and an aunt. I never have any fun with my parents and my bro's boarding in school. I'm pretty lonely, too...

Politics can be funny if you make charicatures and your dad's a cynic. Together they made a pile of stuff making fun of Bush.

I don't believe I ever tried counting my relatives... All my more familiar ones are in the Philipines and they're not familiar at all. My most familiar ones are in the US as well as all the unmentioned relatives who I never even heard of but know they exist...

Simplicity January 31st, 2007 12:10 AM

My mum's side of the family is smaller than my dad's too. ._., It's weird. 8D

Plus, my dad had a big family so I guess it all makes sense? 8D

I don't see most of my mum's family because they live far-far away. :|

I seriously don't know how old some of my cousins are because there are so many...xD

Pikabloo January 31st, 2007 12:55 AM

I've got a whole load of cousins on my mum's side... Most of them being girls my age-ish. I don't have a lot of uncles/aunts in my mum's side though... In fact, I've only got two uncles.

On my dad's side, I've got 3 cousins, who are a lot younger than me. But I do have a lot of uncles and aunts on my dad's side... O_o

Goku Goku January 31st, 2007 12:56 AM

It's rather obvious, but we have relatives everywhere! XD In fact, we're all family! XP Anyways, on my father's side I have more aunts than uncles, and on my mum's side it's the other way round. Our family is mixed boys and girls, though I think the male gender dominates. :) My unrelated relatives (whom I'm so close to, though as I said we're not related in any way) tend to have more males in the eldest suriving generation, then more females in the next generation, then more males again with the current generation (the people around my age, and the younger adolescents). :classic:

Really it's just me, my parents and my bro...I wish I had a bigger intermediate family, or at least a sister... :( Gosh, I wish I were a twin, or had siblings that were twins. Twins are just so cool! :P Actually, the twins who are not just identical, but are exactly identical (what they wear, their perception, their personality etc.), that really bothers me. I like identical twins (not too identical though) who are completely different to one another. :\ Oh, and the thrill of twins being separated from one another, and then meeting again in such dramatic ways...life is such a soap opera!

doesn't matter January 31st, 2007 1:44 AM

Eh, my father had 9 brothers and sisters, most of which live overseas, so I haven't even met them yet. Can't wait till I do one day. Fortunately though I'm pretty close with my relatives here from both sides of the family, so yeah.

And what's with being hidden while logged on? It's not like it makes a difference or anything, specially if you're posting and all.

Well, I'm dead for that matter! :P I just like being in the shadow, and there's nothing you can do about it! :bandit:

Ho-Oh January 31st, 2007 3:24 AM

Invisible is good. Specially if you want to stalk people for the fun of it, or click on someones profile by accident and don't want people to see. Or some people like me, are too lazy to take it off invisible.

Sammi January 31st, 2007 7:29 AM

I don't use invisible mode on this account; I know when I was a member I hated it when staff went invisible on me. (Maybe I'm a creepy stalker like that?) I want people to know I'm on, just in case I'm ever needed... not like that happens these days. :/ But meh, it happens.

However, my old account here uses it. I don't post in it anymore (why should I?), so it's just there. I don't see a reason why people need to know I'm on it, so I put it on invisible mode. And if I am on it for some reason, it's to have it logged on when on another domain thing.
Ah, the days when we had to make a new account for a name change... they were so long ago, eh?

I've only really used invisible mode to hide once, and that was on another forum... but then I was too lazy to get out of it, so I keep using it on that forum. It doesn't bother me, it's not like people can tell I'm online there anyway.

Emma January 31st, 2007 7:39 AM

I don't think I've ever made my account invisible, I don't really see why I should XD Okay, being stalked from other people might be a good reason but, it's not like I have extremely personal stuff in my profile. =P

Sometimes when I'm bored I end up looking at everyone's profile that's online XD Not that I'm a stalker or anything D:

Really? @@ That actually sounds pretty interesting X3;
A lot of people just look at the "Who's Online" page~ -3- but I find that a bit boring~ I rather look at the actual posts and stuff~

And I've never made my account invisible either~ X3 I don't see a point in it either~~

I could never look at the "Who's Online" Page for longer than 10 minutes XD; Sometimes when I look at some people's profiles I'm often dissapointed to see nothing in there, ah well. Life goes on XD

Yeah X3;~ I can't look at it for longer than five minutes~ I have a very short attention span when it comes to certain things~
-3- But yeah~ Sometimes I wish there were more n00bs around so I could look at their stupid posts~~

Oh well~

*~Ashley~* January 31st, 2007 12:22 PM

Okay... I can explain the Who's Online thing and why Andy and I always seem to be looking at it. XD; I can't speak for everyone else that looks at it, but I know why we do it. It's because it automatically refreshes PC for us and keeps us logged in. So that's why I always have a tab open to it. It's not like I really sit and stare at the Who's Online page for hours on end or anything like that... I'm not lacking a life *that* much. XD

But.. ._. If you just click "remember me" it keeps you logged in anyways.. and what's the point of automatically refreshing it if there's nothing to actually look at? ._.;;

-3-.. I don't get it..

For example, say you were looking at a thread when Ashley clicks "Who's online".
After a while, you do something else, right? The who's online thing will show that, the next time it refreshes.

No, no, I know that. But it doesn't keep you consistently logged in. It just keeps you from having to re-enter your password and stuff. It still logs you out after 15 minutes or whatever it is. By keeping a tab open, even if I get distracted for those 15 minutes on MSN or something, it keeps me logged in the whole time. And it won't go and mark threads as having been read already. Just personal preference really...

Ho-Oh January 31st, 2007 2:14 PM

I never knew that was a good way to stay logged in, I just happen to always have a window on who's online for the fun of it, or if I'm waiting for Tali to reply to a PM, and she's taking forever. That's all...though..another coincidence..XD

Drummershuff January 31st, 2007 2:41 PM

I only look at the Who's Online page when PC's boring and there isn't anything else to do. I'll sit staring at if for a couple of minutes then either go back to the index page or close the tab with PC in it. I'm not bothered about staying logged in all the time as half an hour later or so I'll check-up on PC again.

Arcanine January 31st, 2007 2:42 PM

Hanging around the Online list is a great way for me to not have all the forums marked as read. Like Ashley said, it's how we don't get logged out when the 10-15 min auto offline thing kicks in. Sure I use it to stalk some people *coughAshleycough* (to see if she's maybe on MSN or not XD), but I mostly use it so I can get around to all the forums before having the marked as read.

o_o Oh~~ For me it doesn't do that~ I don't have to re-enter my password or anything.. it just keeps me logged in~ *shrugs*
@@ I guess I just don't find what other people are doing to be interesting~~

I look at it rarely if I randomly look under a profile and they're looking at it~ -3- Just to see if anything interesting's up~ But there rarely is~~

Goku Goku January 31st, 2007 4:54 PM

Heh, I hope there aren't stalkers here, but yeah it's that person's fault if he/she put in any peronal information that gives away himself/herself. :\ Well, I sometimes check people's profiles, mainly those I'm familiar with or my buds, but that's just it. :)

I do that on occasion, too~ But I never give out any personal information about myself~
-3- BTW, a word in your sig is spelt wrong~ It's "visitors" and not "visiters" :3~

Goku Goku January 31st, 2007 5:08 PM

Well, yeah who would give out their address and phone number in a place like this anyway? PC is definately no dating sites! >:3 But yes, there are those stalkers who may visit here...the internet needs a 'police force'...*Norton Internet Security*... :P

Goku Goku January 31st, 2007 5:23 PM

I'm just comfortable with myself being in invisible mode. XD Well, I don't get messages from any random people, but when it comes to advertising/junk mail, you bet I have lots! :3

I only give out my MSN to PC people if I've talked to them on the forums for a while and I feel comfortable with giving it out~

@@ But I've given out my phone number to a few people here o.o Like Jorge, Paul, Jeremy, Kelsey, Dawson and a couple others~

Well it's always a risk to do so, but seeing you being one of the older peoples here it'll be fine for you, hopefully. ;) But yeah, as CharMz said, these stalkers are everywhere, and anyone can be their target. :\ In fact, WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT STALKERS ANYWAY?! I think we should move to a more positive topic... Then again, the next month's edtion of DCC will be out soon...

Okay... well Ray's going to make the new DCC now, so I'll take this opportunity to lock this one~
