I don't like Orange Juice, either.
It's just the sickly taste. o__o

I don't have any surgical masks, either. D:

I just saw a PC ad advertising Hentai, how wrong is that? >_<

Sadly, that'd probably be the most clicked ad too.

Jolty-kun January 1st, 2007 1:23 PM

Probably, but I've saw like.. 8 year olds come on here, and now if they clicked that, and their parents came in.. o.o

Who wouldn't get strange looks from there parents by looking at Hentai?
Uh huh, Fiz. >_>
Btw, are we allowed to be discussing this? I mean we're not discussing the context on Hentai. XD

As long as you don't start linking to pictures you should be fine XD

Jolty-kun January 1st, 2007 1:32 PM

Oh, that's okay, then. XD
I don't think we have anything else to discuss about it, anyway.
And practically I don't know if I want to. XD

Dawson January 1st, 2007 1:34 PM

Yeah, hentai isn't the greatest conversational topic in the world. XD

I don't think I've ever met someone until today that thinks hentai makes a good conversation topic.

Dawson January 1st, 2007 2:13 PM

And you'll forever remember this New Year's Day for that reason.

Jolty-kun January 1st, 2007 2:31 PM

Wow, not much happens when I go away for an hour.
Just someone says Hentai is a good conversation peice?
Now how do you use Hentai as a good conversation peice? XD

Ryoutarou January 1st, 2007 2:59 PM

You don't. Which is why DCC keeps dying every time someone brings it up.

Kickass way to start off the new year.

Yeah, I kinda noticed that. >_< Sorry. xD
Why does this effect New Year, though? o.o

Dawson January 1st, 2007 3:09 PM

Because there's nothing better than starting the new year with a conversation about cartoon porn.

Jolty-kun January 1st, 2007 3:11 PM

Now I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. XD

Dawson January 1st, 2007 3:15 PM

Jolty-kun January 1st, 2007 3:19 PM

Nevermind, I took a long walk today and now I'm really tired. XD

Dawson January 1st, 2007 3:22 PM

Yeah, Matt's pretty much right about that.

Frostweaver January 1st, 2007 3:52 PM

Somehow I'm reminded taht the DCC also dies because a post's topic gets narrower and narrower on the go... Really, just try to type a slightly longer post even if you don't know what you're doing, and the next person can magically make some sense out of it to keep the conversation going.

It scares me how it's the middle of the afternoon (for the North Americans) and the DCC's most recent post is actually... almost half an hour ago?

No posts in DCC for half an hour in the middle of an afternoon is totally unheard of back in 2004 And strikeout looks totally... weird with size 1

Lies. Imperial Order is banned before I even left the DCC lightyears ago, and no one shall correct me how lightyear is a measurement for distance. [/ygo and general geekiness]

See I was instructed last night that I have to make a certain amount of posts or else my head is to be disconnected from the rest of my body, so therefore... must make more pointless posts here.

Hm... is the size 1 strikeout suppose to be that weird, or did my comp just screw up again? *points at his previous post in this thread*

You've just broke your own tradition already, and better yet, it's double the amount! Let's keep it up =x Double again, double again!

Zaikiro keeps changing his name... how confusing. ;_; Megaditto now? Bleh, you and your two accounts, one being green and one being not. I wonder if I'm one of the last person in PC who joined for more than a year that has never, never, changed the username...? 22sa never changed. Andy, excluding the time when he's on... crossdressing addict, never changed either. Kayleigh never changed her name either... Besides from that... who else?

Happy New Year, dude. It's been a while since you had that name XD

I doubt it'll get over 10k. Then again, it does have nearly 500 posts and it's still only the 1st of the month. Who knows.

MegaDitto > Mizu-kun > Kyouraku > Haji > MegaDitto

I have kept Zaikiro with the same name for more than a year now and that account mostly posts in the Other Card section. XD; But for your though, there are still several members who has kept their original name. Such as Miyu-chan and Rolling Peeshu *shot*.

But then again, strangely people always tend to find time to get on PC, though perhaps now with the fanclubs open which didn't exist back then... People sort of have their own little DCC with their friends in a secluded section that nobody knows about. That maybe why DCC is not so lively anymore...

Still, if the DCC changes in all size and form, then it better be an increase in quality, and a decrease in SPAM. We're already getting away from the "long known and well established" one liners within a day, aren't we? Let's try to keep up the good start for year 2007 ;p

lol Zaik, but nobody posts in Other Cards either (cry?). I personally blame the gadgets why it's so quiet suddenly. Gadgets must have driven everyone away from there. [/ygo version of terrorism]

Ah right, the admins (of course), Miyu-chan and leader of the Peeshu band... Hm, sometimes admins come and go relatively quickly that I dont even remember who are/were all the admins of PC ><; As for Miyu... I haven't seen her for a long while too, just like how I haven't seen anyone for quite awhile in PC now... ^^;

Just like how no one here has heard of me, except Zaik due to OC =x

I've heard OF you before, but not very often.

And what is so wrong with only one liner posts? I mean, all we need is 25 characters and 4 words in a post, but still I guess you are right.

*Stabs the fuzzy thing*

Lily, it's true. Frosty is posting in the DCC. o_O;

Maybe this is some sort of news year resolution?

Frostweaver January 1st, 2007 4:36 PM

*stabs the 2 'Mega's* I was on a super perfect start of the year with increasing amount of paragraphs in each post within the DCC, then both of you shove one liners against me again. *stab stab stab*

Talk, and expand the posts! It'll prevent DCC from dying so often ;p

It must be the weird :-; face that makes the post sound so emo, even if the post itself is suppose to... discourage emo posts. I thought that all crying faces are either ;-; or ;_; or ;;. Where did this one come from?

Lily, you are the one to told me to "go post! go post!" last night... I blame you if we are to find a reason why Frosty is in the DCC.

Where does "not gonna lie" come from again? It's one of those catch phrases from somewhere, but it slipped my mind about its origin...

EDIT: One liners are not (or at least, by Frosty) loved, because we can all do better than just the minimum... Really, the world probably doesn't function too well if everyone in school only gets Ds for grades. We need, and should strive, for the A+. A few of us will hate it and fail at it, and that's fine as the world can't be full of straight As either, but then a few others will succeed if they try. So, let's try now for 2007 ^^

Too much information, 22sa. ^_^

Aaand I've run out of things to say. o.o

22sa January 1st, 2007 4:51 PM

Well, actually this is about what the normal Frostweaver is like on PC when he was active. I did overstate... :P

Frostweaver January 1st, 2007 4:51 PM

For starters, I did not see, and therefore will go through self-denial about any messages that's crossed out.

Killer-Swift, how the heck have you even heard of me... that sounds like a miracle already. Random members, just because they're old (and geeky, and annoying, and ugly, and talks too much gibberish), doesn't mean they're certainly going to be mentioned. So... explain and expand! :D Plus, I'm sort of curious of what they say during my absence too... lol.

The 2 stab replies are like... pure random roleplay. o_O; Seriously, roleplay is not something I can follow on well at all... I really don't know what to say in response to roleplay like that ><; Guess it's not "my preference" of posts? Sorry if I'm sort of ignoring/not replying to you guys...

No 22sa, I do not love you. ^_^

"And I've ran out of things to say"

That's why one tries to post more than one liners... so the next person won't run out of things to say. Really, it's a bad cycle... the less you post, the lesser people get to post about, which results in even less stuff to post on... So, reverse the effect! Type more ;p

(I know all of you can type heck of a lot... just look at how much time you spend on MSN, and I know that all of you can at least type 100 words per minute without flaws. Apply the uber typing skill to normal posting!)

TEMPORARY.

–adjective
1. lasting, existing, serving, or effective for a time only; not permanent: a temporary need; a temporary job.

Or I can get the Oxford edition, if you want.

Zaikiro January 1st, 2007 4:54 PM

Random Role play?

I believe that we have Frostweaver's weakness.

Speaking of weakness, log on to MSN. D;

22sa January 1st, 2007 4:54 PM

Awesome!

I believe that it's quite commonly known how I cannot handle roleplays at all... Why else am I totally quiet and dead silent when I'm in one of those usual huge MSN group conversations? Eventually, someone will start jumping around throwing cakes at people while at the same time doing the matrix dodge against incoming strawberry invasion from The Moon (notice the capitals) which is made out of cheese.

I know that you like short posts 22sa... but your posts aren't THAT short in the Kanna club. Can't you like, import the quality from there to here? ;p Lol, I tried to make you post paragraphs for 3 years now, and I failed everytime...

As for the posting ideas... strangely, I believe that I mentioned and spoke on the same junkie every time on DCC too. I believe you're right on that one.

22sa January 1st, 2007 5:03 PM

lol Yeah, I know you can't stand randomness. It's understandable if you truly believe those conversations go from nowhere to nothing.

Btw, I'm TRYING to post short, but those convos in Kanna-chan require more input from me, if you know what I mean, whereas this DCC is filled with attendents who will post with or without me. :P

You fail.

22sa is capable of posting paragraphs. When he's role playing. XD

22sa January 1st, 2007 5:10 PM

I had to make that Role Play post you're referring to long in order get my whole dream communicated effectively. It was actually an exciting experience worth elaborating on, if you know what I mean.... if I cut it up in small pieces and let you reply between them my real message wouldn't get across.

Otherwise, like I said, I have no intention for length, as that is not necessarily what conversation or wit competitions require.

Frostweaver January 1st, 2007 5:14 PM

Yes the DCC needs help in getting more input from you too. I mean, why drag me back here if none of you guys will help me in posting ;_; That's evil... i MEAN, just LOOK at the amount of people viewing this thread. There seems to be quite a bit (at least in comparison to Kanna-chan, or in fact anyone's fanclub) yet there's only a very few of us that's posting... That's obviously a sign that PC DCC needs more input help. So 22sa, write more! Talk about your TnT noodles here instead of over there, or something ;; You too Lily ;; (And Sui too, I know that you're peeping around here)

So I just started playing with the PC options again, picking on the autumn one because it reminds me of my birthday in November ^o^ I looked up and then realized... GASP, the catch phrase of "we're STILL working on a better slogan" is not there ;_; What happened to it?

Now I'll be off for awhile to game... when I come back, I expect this thread to be on the next page at the very least >O

(What happened to the time when you'll post a response to a post in DCC, then find that 20 more posts have come between your post and the post that you're trying to reply to?)

And he might say the same for your posts. =P All frosty really wants is a lengthy discussion, which DCC isn't particularly a big advocate of...nothing wrong with desire. He's not forcing us to do it. If it annoys you, ignore him.

I'd do whatever you want to get you to post in the Kanna club, not the DCC. xD;

Omg you read my TnT post there and didn't respond!??! >OOOOO

I'll get you for it when you return. x] You better return soon.

Edit: Wtf? MegaFuz, short posts aren't "non-intelligent." >=PPP

Lily threw bait!
A Sui appeared!
A Sui changes mood to...clueless D: and in need of a...clue-in?

If questions arise as to who I am...well, I'll just answer them when they come >=D

Also, Frost...who needs long posts when we can just answer with short ones? If you're looking for a conversation, sign on and badger me >O

And intellectual conversations are possible. Lol, even for a 'Pokemon forum.'

Ok, don't get me wrong. I partake in some intellectual conversations from time to time on PC. I know how the DCC used to be, but even then, it was rare to see a post the size of the ones Frostweaver's posted here tonight. And if posts did take up as much space as his did, they included various quotes which took up most of the room. There's never really been a time where continual posts consist of multiple paragraphs. You also have to take into consideration the array of ages that post in the DCC as well. There are some posters in here from time to time barely over the age of 10. Not saying that they are stupid or anything, but the conversation has to be one that all age groups can partake in...and are interested in.

He's also whining about the fact that back in teh day, by the time you responded or made a post, there were 10 others in front of yours that weren't there before. That in itself proves that the DCC is and almost always has been, concise, whitty conversation.

But seriously, I gave up on overall post count. Almost every fun thread to post in doesn't add to it anymore. That's why DCC isn't as important to me as it is to you.

I don't find age variations significant; it differs from what kind of people are viewing the thread at the designated time. Like I said, if the long posts bother people, it's common to simply look over them. But some, like myself, find enjoyment in those posts, and I alone choose to respond to them. It's not as if listening to Frostweaver is mandatory; on the contrary, if it's somewhat not within one's range of interest, by all means, avoid the posts as to, hopefully, avoid unnecessary arguments. I normally don't care about the length of posts, but I don't mind both short and long...if that made any sense. ;_;

By trying to prove me wrong or suggesting the opposite, I believe that I have succeeded in getting what I want already ^_~ Isn't that awesome?

First of all, I'm pretty sure that kids of age 10 can understand what I'm saying for the most part. Afterall, Lily wrote some pretty deep stuff for a 12 year old, thus receiving all the "are you really 12?" statements. Newspapers are targetted at the gr. 5 lvl of english, and they're "pretty darn" long. lol... I'm sure that the difficulty is fine.

When you repeat the "lolz what did you have for breakfast?" line for the 5th time in the month, doubt the conversation can really live so long... Sometimes you must have the long convos to balance it out and spark new topics again, then the one liners (inevitable) twist all possible juices out of it... and the long paragraph comes again to make new topics. Really, it does work out, as long as there's just a several people posting in paragraph (one paragraph, not multiple) and the rest sticking with the one-liners...

Well I only returned cause a MSN convo led everyone back to the "nostalgic" mode so of course I will speak of the past more often than I usually do. ^^;;

I'm not skilled enough with words to make a statement filled with multiple potential topics for people to reply to in one sentence. Certainly it's possible, but that's beyond my abilities to be concise. So, I go for whitty without the precision, but I try if I can.

Actually, back then, people may not post in essays (oh gosh only Chairman Kaga can truly post with lightning speed and in length that triples mine, with a quality that is 5x higher on top of a deep meaning in one package... If I'm not a Christian, I would've hailed him as a divine being) but at least it's not a one liner... More like 22sa's "4 one liner in one post" or just one small paragraph.

"Pokemon forum" = lowered level of discussion? That's not necessarily true... the anime maybe geared for kids, but certainly there are people who are much older. First of all, there's the entire anime section that knows how to watch it with subs and so on, and finding the sub is not the easiest thing for really young kids.

The game section is perhaps even more crazy than the stereotypical image of Pokemon. You got people talking in pure numbers and algebra equations on how to use a Heracross the most effectively in battle. "If you use substitute, be sure to have a x/4 hp, and if it's subversal, make it x/4 + 1, where x is your hp." Really, those forums are gatherings of pure mathematical genius with deadly precision in guessing our your next moves, and outdoing your attacks on every turn.

Jake and his fellow game editors go through the most updated technology and computer softwares to modify the pokemon games to spectacular ends... I don't even know what they're talking about with the hex numbers and whatever. o_O;

There's many reasons why people will like shorter posts, but "it's a pokemon forum" should not be one of them. ^_^ All in all, each to their own taste, but it doesn't hurt for the minority's side to advertise once in awhile. Occassionally, they succeed in snatching a few poor souls to join them ;p

*another super long annoying post by Frosty!*

EDIT: Hi Sui!!!

EDIT2: Hi to you too Altarialover. I'm pretty sure that it's not your age... I simply tend to repeat myself a lot. In forums and MSN, my grammar is horrid beyond compatibility as well. ^^; I am just lazy and keeps using run-on sentences, etc... that's probably why you don't understand me at times.

First of all, I never said anything about viewing Frostweaver's posts being mandatory. You're kind of putting words into my mouth. I'm just trying to say that I see no point in complaining about length of posts. A post can be a one liner and still have worth to it. I'm not disagreeing that the conversation in here is usually brainless muttering. I'm not even saying that I am against long posts. To put it simply and sum it up: There's no point in complaining. It's pointless.

As fun as these little discussions are to read, let's all cool it with the bickering. If you don't like the way someone is posting, just ignore them, it's that simple.

lol, uber exclaimation marks to me are like "Like OMGZ IT'S SUI HIIIIIII!!!111oneeleven" type of thing. I'm fine with using exclaimation marks by itself, even if it's "a few times in a row" ;p

I'm on RO still, but you know I can minimize window to come on this ;p afterall, I'm in a map with no aggressive enemies... if I see something to post, I can just let the game go on and won't die anyway. ^_^

Have I read any of your stories at all during any point of time? lol. So who knows =x there are tons of good writers who write some very mind provoking and long stuff at a very young age, and I won't be surprised if you're one of them. I mean, not all the 100+ review stories on ffnet are by the young adults, huh ;p

No. Certainly not a mistake on your part at all. That was most definately a complaint. =P

My disagreement is more or less, that there is no point in complaining. Not exactly that I don't agree with him. In more ways than not, I do agree with him.

@ Lily & Frostweaver:

Indeed, not all young members have young vocabulary or grammar. I'm not about to name members, but some do though. I apoligize if I offended anyone when I made that comment. Lily is obviously a great writer. And it's not necessarily the vocabulary used that is going to throw off younger members. It's the topics that are being discussed. It's a daily occurence where I try to discuss something on PC and a younger member will be totally lost.

People have a right to ignore too, but if you think about it such acts are pretty cowardly as opposed to speaking up. :P <-- That doesn't suit all personalities though I suppose. But to those who care enough about DCC as a public place to post for instance, will want to stand up against something they don't like in it.

Doesn't seem that way when certain people(not saying who) complain to me about it.

And dammit, I told you, those before, those panties have always been twisted.

No one is going to get that reference.

But over post length? That's a pretty petty reason to complain, especially on a message board where you can just ignore something you don't like.

lol, DCC isn't always limited to only chat and nothing longer. Plus, surely in real life you have those bickering moments where you poke fun of and disagree with your friends ;p

I'm sure MegaFuz do not mind some old grandpa telling him to "POST LONGER" while I'm pretty sure the old guy doesn't mind "NUUUUU ;o;" either ;p

Well, at least i *don't* think so that the topic at hand is truly so hard to understand, right...? It's just... long post vs short post. Some of the supporting statements or examples can be confusing, but surely they can get the generic idea. They have the great discussion of "which came first, chicken or the egg?" in gr. 6 elementary, and this topic can't be more deep than that one XD;

I'd rather not go into it, you'll eventually find it using google...if not, make up your own meaning to it.

You know what sucks? I was watching the news today and they said "President Bush has declared January 2nd a national day of mourning.". That makes me feel so awesome.

clowsui January 1st, 2007 6:33 PM

To insert some Buddhist-ish wisdom here:
The existence of the chicken is interdependent with the existance of the egg. It doesn't matter which came first; they are both within each other but are, at the same time, two distinct things.
