I hate different time zones. marz probably wont get back until morning. Im going to bed. Thanks for figuring out the problem Alex. lol.

Ayano Katagiri March 6th, 2007 8:46 PM

I hate timezones too. XD, marz is online. Just not posting here.

No problem lol. Okay, cya~

justokre March 6th, 2007 8:56 PM

Hey, sign me up for wherever. Do you think my version of GBA Link will be compatible? If not I can grab the newest of the regular VBA.

ChrisG14 March 7th, 2007 9:01 AM

Do I still have my spot? I'm just wondering...

Always and Never March 7th, 2007 1:15 PM

Yeah dont worry. Just for some reason it deleted all the crap. I'll fix it up later. justokre is in.

Samson March 7th, 2007 8:38 PM

you should modify the first post to indicate what version of VBA is ideal and that if a person's .SG1 or .SGM file fails to load, then there's nothing you can do but to skip them. already 2 non-working save files... gotta be a pain.

Always and Never March 7th, 2007 8:41 PM

I know... it makes me hate life. Where's marz?

Well... marz and I are having some problems loading it ATM, but I think I've solved it.

I agree, you should use the same version VBA. And one more thing to add to that, you should probably state the version of ROM you're using. In this case I believe its the US version of the Ruby ROM not the European version.

Alex March 7th, 2007 8:45 PM

All's well guys! Alex finally got it working. Note it was through Battery Importing using a .sav file. Just wanted to point that out. So the major changes that I shall be doing while I play is leveling up and dumping Kadabra for a Ralts (and probably evolved into Kirlia).

Always and Never March 7th, 2007 8:49 PM

Okay... so the problem was just the version of VBA?

Ayano Katagiri March 7th, 2007 9:01 PM

I'm not totally sure about that, but its possible. Instead of sending the sgm or sg1 file again, I changed it into the .sav form which loaded perfectly.

Always and Never March 7th, 2007 9:17 PM

ok good idea. lol... Please post a quick tutorial on how you changed it for others to know.

Ayano Katagiri March 7th, 2007 9:28 PM

^ Ummm... okay.

Well what you do is, as you are playing, (because this is Pokemon so you can save ingame) save ingame using the start menu as you would playing on a GBA. Then close VBA. When uploading a file to send to someone else, upload the .sav file instead of the .sg1 or .sgm files.

The person receiving it, after downloading, should go into the VBA and instead of loading the save file by Ctrl+L, use a different function on the VBA. Go into the menu, File > Import > Battery file > (Whatever the .sav is called) and it should reset the ROM. Following that, just go into the menu as you would on a GBA and you will get to the place where the person that sent you the file last saved.

Always and Never March 7th, 2007 9:31 PM

Awesome!

!!**Alex**!! is cooler than you because he is smart XD

Alex March 8th, 2007 3:43 PM

Hey I just got an idea. After we're done this game, after the person who's supposed to beat the E4 beats it I mean, you should distribute by PM to everyone who played the save file so that we can see what kind of team we end up with at the end. What it is like to have a party with 9 different trainer's touches. What do you say? If you do, make sure you distribute the .sav Battery File, I think it's the most guaranteed to work.

Always and Never March 8th, 2007 3:50 PM

That's what I was planning. But I'll do it. Hows the playing going marz?

Oooo. not bad at all. XD, why are you training up the Linoone?? It was MEANT TO BE A HM SLAVE!!! lol

Alex March 8th, 2007 7:35 PM

I know it's supposed to be an HM Slave, but I hate Zigzagoons, so I HAD to evolve it. I won't be training it anymore. It evolves at Level 20, and notice it hasn't grown a level.

Aaah... gotcha!

XD, how was I suppose to know? All your Pokes were Lvl 20 or 21.

Alex March 8th, 2007 8:59 PM

Although that's true, it's just the way I train. I set myself a level that all my pokes had to be at when I would go about to take on May, and now I will do the same for Wattson. It's how I train, and don't criticize because that's the point of the whole game! xD

EDIT: 700TH POST WOOOOOOT!~

XD, aah, I see. Well everyone has a different way of playing.

Congratz.

Samson March 9th, 2007 7:58 AM

yannow, linoone isn't so bad a poke. with belly drum and slash, it really does some damage when it's a last resort. you can have one with belly drum, slash, and two HMs, ie cut and brick break. if you decide you want it to have three HMs, you can do belly drum, strength, cut, and brick break.
