Cutter + bomb is a nice one to use. Ice + electric is funny (a fridge). I like to use the ice crystal (ice + ice).

Is the N64 version the only one with combination powers? Anyway, despite the lack of combo-ing in the game, I gotta say that Kirby & The Amazing Mirror is probably the greatest GBA Kirby game that I've played. The amount of powers you can use is crazy, and there's so many levels and sub-levels. It's huge.

Anyway, since I'm a Crystal Shards buff, for those who have played it, what was your favourite combination power? My favourite would have to be the exploding ninja stars (Cutter and Bomb combined, I think). But the funniest one would have to be Solar Panel Kirby (Burning and Electric). He rubs his head with a sheet of glass that creates static and then bursts into flames! Hilarious!

Combination powers arent around in the newer games unfortunately. But I think it might work on Kirby's Squeak Squad.

Umm... I dont know what's my favourite. I need to find that game and play it!

Soari March 17th, 2007 7:51 PM

Okay, So I got one picture of Kirby.

w00t! awesome chef Kirby!! Fear my evil Spinach of death >=)

Ayano Katagiri March 17th, 2007 8:04 PM

Yay, cook Kirby. That is one of the awesome techniques in the game.

xD I thought that was a magnifying glass at first.

Phanima March 18th, 2007 5:49 PM

Haha, Cook Kirby! Too bad it was only a one use effect. Although once you did use it...mega feast!

Ayano Katagiri March 18th, 2007 8:51 PM

I havent tried it, but does Cook Kirby work with bosses?

Phanima March 19th, 2007 1:19 AM

I doubt it does, but I'm not too sure about mini bosses. I mean, being able to turn a boss into food? That'd be amazing.

Ayano Katagiri March 19th, 2007 8:23 PM

Yeah, it would be amazing. I will definetly have to try it soon~

If I can survive the game being Cook Kirby up to the boss....

I have Nightmare in Dreamland~

Welcome to the club!

Which version of Dreamland is that one btw?

Phanima March 22nd, 2007 10:00 PM

I think it's the one on GBA, before The Amazing Mirror isn't it? Oh, and welcome to the club Traces3Roms!

Ayano Katagiri March 22nd, 2007 10:02 PM

Yeah, the Nightmare in Dreamland for GBA came just before Amazing Mirror.

But I think there's two versions of Nightmare... one back on like the SNES I think...

Phanima March 23rd, 2007 2:14 AM

Didn't Nightmare in Dreamland have like three versions on the SNES and one version on the GBA. Because I think I remember Rick the Hamster and Kirby's other friends being in Nightmare in Dreamland 3 on SNES, so I'm assuming there was a 1 and 2 as well?

Aether March 23rd, 2007 4:01 PM

Bah, there's such a confusing amount of Kirby games, I remember the first one i got, Kirby: Star Stacker (Tetris look-alike) I have no idea when that came out. Squeak Squad is awesome though, I just got it today, I noticed something cool, they merged together Fire Kirby and Burning Kirby, so you can shoot fire, and you can also become a fireball when you tap the directional button twice, I almost hopped when i figured i could do that, YAY, Fire Kirby is over-powered once again XD

Yeah, 1 and 2 were on the original Gameboy.

Awww... lucky, I still havent got Squeak Squad yet.
But I've noticed the merge of fire + burning too. (me played a little on DS emulator)

Yup, Fire Kirby is just like the original SNES version which is very very good~

Hey sweeties! *Walks in excitedly.* x3 Can I join? =3 I love Kirby ever since I played one of his games on Game Boy. x3 I own almost all of them, and I even have some of the anime episodes. =3

Jari March 24th, 2007 10:07 AM

I'm still looking for the anime o.o

Phanima March 24th, 2007 1:37 PM

It used to be on morning TV where I lived, but I only saw a few episodes, and I wasn't exactly a fan of Kirby that much either, so I didn't get to appreciate it until now. I'd like to see it, and I'm planning on downloading it from somewhere once my quota has returned (damn limit). But the games are always entertaining enough, so I just play them whenever I'm free. Zero Two rocks! One of the craziest bosses I've ever seen.

The anime aired once here for a really short period, like only a few weeks. And it was straight after school so I never really had a chance to watch it.

Phanima March 24th, 2007 11:37 PM

Right Back At Ya! was it's sub title I think. It was okay, but like the few that are based off games, it wasn't exactly a super duper show. It still had its quirks though, but I never did like those human/gnome characters. @[email protected]

Aether March 25th, 2007 11:44 AM

Meh, i never watched the anime at all really, Kirby is meant for a video game not a TV show is what I would say.

xD, the anime isnt too bad. But it is made more child-ish by the anime. The games are still superior!
