Arceus?
What the heck is up with Arceus being able to have the form of all the Pokemon types known to us?
How can you tell which one you'll get? Is it random? Like you can just shut off your game if you get the Normal Arceus, but you want the Fire Arceus? |
You can find these plates all over the game and when Arceus is holding a plate he will be the type the plate represents.
|
Throughout the game, you will pick up these mysterious "plates". These are specifically for Arceus. For instance, make him hold the poison plate, he'll be the Poison type. Make him hold the fire plate, he'll be the Fire type. Get it?
But Arceus' original form is always Normal when you first battle him. |
Oh that's what those color things were. Okay, thanks!
And you can change the plates from time to time, right? It's not when you put one plate on, it's that plate forever, right? |
Yea you are allowed to change the plate when you want.

Sounds very cool, thanks for the info all.

You can also get more than one of each plate and they're not restricted to just normal gameplay as items you find, you can find them when digging in the Shinou Underground. |
And thx to that plate he become the first "pure flying" type. Anyway that is with the help of item, i want eeveelutions family to be the first pure flying just like umbreon as the first pure dark type....
Back to topic, that plate also change one of his attack i believe... |
Yeah, I think I read that somewhere too. Do you think it would be an attack that's really strong? Like, if you were to attach the Fire plate to him, he'd learn something like Flamethrower or Fire Blast?
Ew, that would mean that, unless they made cool Dark types, the strongest Dark type move he can learn is Crunch >.< I'm sure they made new Dark type moves. |
The attack that changes according to the plate is called Judgement Pebble.
It is a Power 100, Accuracy 100 attack with 10 PP. It is also a special attack. On a side note, it is interesting to see that its move tutor attack is Meteoric Swarm which can only be learnt when the Dragon Plate is held. |
But what happened after that re-taken......Sure that's weird.
With that 100 power and 100 acc it even too powered. I won't use legendary nor item though off topic : yay 500th post |

Also, I forgot to mention that it learns it at lvl 100 =D |
You mean by ticket like deoxys/lugia/ho-oh
Lv learn that move doesn't matter because I always use lv 100 pokemon to battle with my friend. Btw is it really better than mew two? I mean mewtwo has high speed and high SA even in other stat it lost to arceus. |
Kind of. It's similar I believe.
I would say its better, SA and speed wont help too much if its overpowered too easily. They do say that Aruseus is the best Pokemon ever... |
But still need good user and moveset... Even a kyorge would lost to shedinja without ancient power or hail (which is almost never used as kyorge's moveset). Wonder if shedy could do the same to it
|
Here's an interesting fact. According to Bulbapedia, Arceus' Pokedex reads as follows:
Pokémon Diamond: It is painted in myths as the Pokémon who used its thousands of skills to create the world. Pokémon Pearl: It is described in myths as the first Pokémon being born when the world is still in the state of complete emptiness. It hints that this is the creation Pokemon. But it also says that that is considered to be a myth. So, that makes this Pokemon just an ordinary legendary. It's not actually PROVEN to be the creator. Of course, I'm sure it would be impossible with earthly technology to capture the god of the Pokemon world. |
Where can ho-oh get Arceus in the north american versionn of pokemon Diamond??????
I want it and when i get it, my team will be unstoppable!!!!!!!! 1 Ho-oh 2 Arceus 3 Lugia 4 Mewtwo 5 Dailga 6 Rayqueza |

You can only get Arceus by an event. So you won't be able to have your team until then.

hey Innagadadavida, isn't the point of CATCHING AND RAISING legendaries and then using them in your party? any way, thanks for the answer. Does anyone know of this event for the US and since i just bought ARDS today, could anyone tell me the encounter code for Arceus for the NA version of Daimond?
Thanx in advance Ho-oh |

As stated previously, it's about the plates that you attach to Arceus. Nothing magical(actually it is).
|
So, iv'e got to get arceus AND these plates? would anyone know which plate is the best?
Thanx Ho-oh |

But don't worry, they aren't hard to find. You can also get some of them in the underground. There are actually plates I've got twice because I found them there. There is no best plate, every plate will change the type of it and which type fits best depends on the rest of your team and your strategy. |
Thanx. That answers question 1. how about question 2 pleaZZ?http://hem.fyristorg.com/gronroos/enteinest/images/Hooh.jpg
|
There is no "best" plate for it as a plate only changes its type. It would also depend on the moveset you have as the plates would also give you STAB for specific attacks and increase them a further 10% in power.
|
Okay, thanx for answering my question!
|
The increase in power is actually 20%.
|
I've never knew that they made a cheating device for the DS yet anyways, I know that if I get a Arceus I'll keep it with the 'ghost plate' and does anyone know the exact date you can get the ticket for Arceus?

Legendaries are technically strongest, unless you can actually manage to know what to do against them ^.~ |
Exactly,it doesn't matter if it's a Kyogre against a Treeko it depends on how you use them. Now Arceus is a very strong pokemon and will be a valuable asset to my team when I get it,but it's not invincible.
|
Arceus is the most uncounterable uber right now, but agreeing with redgyarados, if you dont know what you're doing, it doesnt matter what your opponent uses =/
|
Hmm... is this a challange? Well then.................
BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!! See u on wi-fi!!!!!! Strategy+Legendaries=VICTORY |
I think anyone who has to use more than one legendary in a battle team is too dependent on power handed to them; too lazy to train non-legendaries well enough to defeat whatever they face. I have a team made entirely of non-legendaries in Emerald that has devastated entire legendary teams of several friends of mine. I do plan to use one legendary, but it's not one of the many hulking 00ber sweepers everyone uses, it's Darkrai, who just happens to be a master of sleep techs.
So... yeah. I'll catch Arceus, but I'll carve up my DS before I use it in a real, competitive battle. |
