Electivire or Magmortar

There has been a lot of talk about Electivire and Magmortar lately, but who do you think is better. In my opinion Electivire is better.

That's Shiny Electivire >.>;;

Anyways, Personally, I think Electivire is better too =D

Ichida March 31st, 2007 7:35 PM

I think Magmortar looks cooler, but in terms of stats, Electivire's got Magmortar beat. Electivire has higher Attack and Speed stats, while Magmortar's special attack and special defense trump Electivire. They're about even, but Electivire would get the jump in a faceoff.

Ayano Katagiri March 31st, 2007 7:53 PM

Elekible wins for me. If I had a choice it would be it. But unfortunately.. I havent been able to get it on my game yet.

.Bastion March 31st, 2007 7:58 PM

Hmmm, I think I like Electivire better. I like his stat distribution better than Magmortar's. Plus I kinda like electric types over fire types. Electivire looks cooler as well IMO.

Rubberbandman March 31st, 2007 8:00 PM

Like they say most of the time on Smogon, it depends on your team, but really I would use Electivire

Gourmet Popcorn March 31st, 2007 8:08 PM

what i dont understand is that magmortars first move is thunderpunch and electivies first move is fire punch?should'nt be the other way around?

Ichida March 31st, 2007 8:12 PM

To emphasize that these two Pokemon are related by evolution methods.

Samson March 31st, 2007 8:12 PM

i don't care, i'm not gonna get neither one XD

Midnight Beat March 31st, 2007 8:29 PM

You know I like magmar but clowns kind of scare me so I will have to go with electivire.

Obelisk March 31st, 2007 8:50 PM

I think Magmortar is better ill probably get him over electivire

charizard_maa March 31st, 2007 9:33 PM

Looks wise I think they both look ugly so I guess they both lose if this was a beauty contest. Good thing it isn't.

Name wise. Magmortar sounds better. (Personity I was hoping for Magburn but sigh)

Battle wise. I sure hope Magmortar can stand up in a fight. I mean they are equally matched since neither one of them can stand up well statwise against each other stats advantage. I more on Magmortar side because he can burn but then THunderwave can be a problem but it really depends on how they are played.

Personity Magmortar but if Electivire uses a Thunderwave then is more going to be an electivire win.

Bliksem March 31st, 2007 11:06 PM

Electivire has Magmortar beat simply because its trait is so much better. Electric Engine is phenomenal as Thunderbolt and Thunder Wave are so very potent. On the other hand, Magmortar doesn't even get Flash Fire.

RedGyarados April 1st, 2007 5:03 AM

For me it's an easy choice, Electivire.

dudeman5 April 1st, 2007 5:09 AM

magmortor and electivire are both pretty bad, but electivire does have the advantage, but it really depends on their moveset

Tiemen April 1st, 2007 5:40 AM

Electivire is looking cooler

Master Trainer Empoleon April 1st, 2007 5:42 AM

I think I rather have Magmortar,I really never fought with electabuzz/Magmar so it really doesn't matter.

Lunux April 1st, 2007 5:46 AM

I think Magmortar looks cooler and he is a fire type which i like. Electivire has a better stat spread but still i like Magmortar better.

karl 557 April 1st, 2007 6:37 AM

Electivire looks awsome and has great, stats thats why i am going to put him in my team!!

And, why not pick both? There's nothing really stopping anyone from doing so...it's just a lot of searching and having to have both Fire Red & Leaf Green (but then again, now that they're less that $20 apiece, who doesn't?).

Imagination Ninja April 1st, 2007 7:24 AM

Electivire, because it just looks cooler. Usually I opt for the fire type but magmortar ugh just got be the worst looking fire type I 've ever seen. So Electivire, just plain awesome.

Jim April 1st, 2007 8:06 AM

Eventhough Neither will probably be on my team I would have to say Electivire. I Don't really like either of them anymore (ignore my name) but they are both powerful-ish. I perfer Electivire because Magmortar looks like a fat clown with a cannon and a beak, plus Electric is better than fire in my opinion.

Ichida April 1st, 2007 8:44 AM

Mehh, I just don't like the hairy look Electivire has, though. <.<;

RYOUKI April 1st, 2007 9:33 AM

well in my opinion magmortar
but i like electivire too
both of them look stupid but i chose magmortar
