You need to fix your image tags, so that your image appears.

.. i fixed your tags..
the map..very wierd, its 90% square (i dont like square maps), many tile-error, too much empty space.
rating: 2/10
suggestions: use more time to make the map, dont make the map square, fix tile errors, get rid of those rocks, dont make the flowers like that.. and fill some of the empty space..

Binary November 29th, 2007 7:11 AM

@rkevinc1-
Man, I think it is a very bad map from my prospective, There are tons of errors their and the worst part.....its square! And I hate square maps. Apart from there there are errors on the roof of the houses and what were you trying to do with that blue house? seems totally [email protected][email protected] sorry if this is like an insult but Im only tryin to help. And the map is simple and the gym roof dosent go with that lab.
I would not like to give a rating on this one(I think you've understood my rating)

destinedjagold November 30th, 2007 4:13 AM

wow it is very nice. However, some tile error there. Specifically, the fences that ends to the lab, you should have used the other fence tile.
However, the maps not flashy, which means it's simple yet very attractive. It's very cool in my eyes. ^^

8/10 (since I was kinda annoyed by the two tile errors, but well.., no matter.)
(I wish you the best of luck with your first hack!)

Wow I just love the tiles and palletes used in that map. They really look cool. Apart from that I saw a tile error on the fence. But nice job!
Wow its been so long since I posted a map, and I think its been time since I posted one:

Name: route 402
Comments: I know its really flashy, and I love it this way. It is also not square so I like my efforts on this map. Apart from that
Its a map of my upcoming hack. Not one of my best BTW

I might as well rate this one, the house underpass objects look a bit strange, but other than that the map looks fine and it looks original so I will give it an 8/10.

Like it. You should work for Nintendo making Pokemon maps. You do a better job then the geeks at Nintendo.

Pretty cool map The house tiles look all well not nice with the pallet. too bright.

9/10

destinedjagold November 30th, 2007 2:44 PM

to Celebi_XD..,
I like the way you use tiles in a creative way... And wow, now I can see that you are using the right mountain-top border! That's pleasing to my eyes! :D

However.., you've used the wrong tiles for those stairway (specifically, the right stairs), 'cause it's the same tile you used for the left (the one with shadows)... You should use the other tile of stairs for the right one.

The map is really good, btw, so 9/10. ;)

/Circa November 30th, 2007 7:27 PM

Sceptile Hero

I like the map, but I think you should change the house tiles to make it look better.
Also, aren't those $_$'s Palettes and tiles?

I think... 8.5/10

Dorsam Town
Dorsam town is conveniently located near the beach for warm conditions to suit people around the area, local fisherman take trips to these soughts of towns because they hold many rare Pokemon from other regions.

Hello! We have the same avatar! ^^

Anyways, we the map is looking cool and the pallete's reaaly cool to my eyes. 8/10... It's a nice route, btw.

Oh, btw, is that map only has one exit towards a new map..? I can only see one pathway towards another map, but oh well...

Soul.//Silver December 3rd, 2007 12:26 AM

There is another exit but it is blocked because im releasing a preview of my hack with the first town where you get your starter and the first route just to see what people think of the palletes and tiles.
(so far everyone who has rated my maps have liked the tiles and pallete)

destinedjagold December 3rd, 2007 12:41 AM

oh.., okay. that explains why. :D

btw, the grids kinda annoys me, so.., a friendly advice, could ya remove the grids first before posting it here... I am really going blind. XD

Oh well... we do love the palletes 'cause it's peaceful to the eyes... I wish you good luck on your hack then.

Don't worry. I added grass after I read the comment, I did think it wouldn't be a good idea but I waited till someone commented on it. Now I know it wasen't a good idea lol.

P.s I thought the tiles you were using were made by kyledove?

Nice tiles and palletes but the map looks too simple and abit square, try improving your map ideas and put some extra-ordinary things in em'

Hey SceptileHero!

I love the tileset!

Rating: 6.5/10

Reasons:
1) This is purely as the map looks a little "blocky".
2) I thought that there was too much water incorporated into this route. Does it serve any purpose?

Recommendations:
1) Rather than keeping all of the "action" to either side of the map, try mixing it up by making the player have to "weave" through objects. Just allowing the player to pass straight through is rather boring and doesn't really add any playability to this route.
2) I would recommend losing some of the water and adding other objects to the route, i.e. ledges, etc.

Not too sure if you will take any of these comments on board as I have only just started mapping myself and have little experience in this area. Let's just say I was rating it as if I was a player. ;)

Wow, that is VERY good! I can't do that good myself, and I have done mapping for 5-8 months! The palettes and tiles are also very good, I hope to see a release of your hack.

Soul.//Silver December 3rd, 2007 5:44 PM

Here is a new and improved Route A which also has a different name. It is now called Olive Forest.
Hopefully it is better than the Route A.

Erimgard December 3rd, 2007 5:48 PM

looks pretty good...but a little bland
Too repetitive. I like how your previous map included some water. While I don't think you need as much water as the first map, one medium sized pond would do you some good.
7/10

Antwhan December 3rd, 2007 6:40 PM

I agree, some water or some variation to break it up, otherwise an excellent map. 8/10
