I couldn't find the AR codes for attacks, I could only find them for items, and codes for all Shiny. But I did finish off the attack list. There's just one attack I can't seem to find, 0x162. So I just labeled it with "???"

Damn, you posted already. Yeah, it's Psycho Boost.
About the TM's, don't worry about it. I meant the first obtainable TM in the game. I just got a walkthrough and found it.

Changed TM10 - Hidden Power>Psycho Boost.

no, poketex is a web based hacking tool which requires you do be running mandriva linux. yes, you can download it. if you don't mind reading then we've already awnsered these questions atleast 10 times

Michael Allison March 15th, 2008 7:28 PM

There aren't any English hacking tools formally released for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, although one is in beta and another (well, several others) being designed as we speak.

In addition, as Gabe said, use the search form. For God's sake. I've got warned already for flaming someone for doing just what you did once already today. I really don't mind answering these questions, but they're stated so ineloquently...

I'm sure you'll be fine NIN. If you want to be involved, you can always simply spam HEX and test, test other people's editing attempts if you are close to anyone doing such, or provide us with graphics (spriting, for example, is a sure thing in Diamond and Pearl, where as we won't be needing tiles, due to the change from a majority of 2-dimensional to a majority of 3-dimensional mapping, and the obscene amount of shading they use in these games). If not, simply taking interest in a cause is supporting it, in this case, at least. I'm attempting to learn the basics of Visual Basic 6 in a week, so I can make some hacking programs with gabe_k's group. :) You're welcome to join me in learning a new skill, ha-ha!

Edit: As Gabe said, yes, a lot of the game is still based on tiles. But what I was saying is it's better to create something you know we can use, before creating an entire tile sheet for a map you'd like to build, and then realizing we'll never be able to use them, even after all hacking programs are built and operational.

Edit: Ahem... The thought came to mind you might not realize Gabe was being facetious when he said it was exclusive to Mandrake, etc... Yeah.

One more new thing, I'm pretty sure the Sinnoh Pokedex order is at 37B0020.
Take a look at this.

Wow, great find thethethethe :P

Michael Allison March 15th, 2008 8:09 PM

Did you find it, or take the screenshot? That looks pretty easily photohopped to me...

Otherwise, nice discovery!

Edit: Ah, guess you did find it. Sorry, don't know everyone here well. Nice job!

Wow, you keeo impressing me more, so you changed the colors in the room, and the text in the commercial.

another big step towards creating custom d/p spin off type hacks

Darthatron March 15th, 2008 11:26 PM

I found out where the Pokemon Base Stats start, once again Nintendo have been lazy and used the same method as in the Advance Gen.

The offset is: 01C15A08

That's why I try to post the pointer with whatever I've done. So if anyone thinks it's fake, they can go try it out themselves.
PS. I'm terrible with Photoshop.

It seems like the trainerbattle structure is similiar, but its slightly different in DP. I think someone's already done this, but I might as well, post a bit more on it this time round.
Code:

Oreburgh Gym Leader's Pokemon
12 Geodude
12 Onix
14 Craniados

Hex
< 3200 > < 0C00 > < 4A00 > < BE01 > < 5800 > < 0000 > < 0000 >
< 3200 > < 0C00 > < 5F00 > < BE01 > < 5800 > < 6700 > < 0000 >
< 3200 > < 0E00 > < 9801 > < 1D00 > < E400 > < 2B00 > < 0000 >

"Decoded"
? Level 12 Geodude                Stealth Rock; Rock Throw
? Level 12 Onix                        Stealth Rock; Rock Throw; Screech
? Level 14 Craniados                Headbutt; Pursuit; Leer

Pointer
0x1C2F854

EDIT: It also looks like the "normal" trainerbattles are set out in the same way.

Code:

First Battle With Rival
Level 7 Starly
Level 9 Turtwig

Hex
< 1E00 > < 0700 > < 8C01 > < 6200 > < 2D00 > < 0000 > < 0000 >
< 1E00 > < 0900 > < 8301 > < 2100 > < 6E00 > < 0000 > < 0000 >

"Decoded"
? Level 7 Starly                Quick attack; Growl
? Level 9 Turtwig                Tackle; Withdraw

Pointer
0x1C2F880

EDIT again: The type Weakness/Strength chart is at the pointer 0x1DE1B8 in both Diamond and Pearl.

No. Actually, he's stripped the room of tiles (leaving only shading), and the text in the commercial is quite the same.

thethethethe- I wasn't accusing you of anything :P. I just don't know you very well, so for all I know, you may have gotten it off the series of tubes ;)... After Heatran's comment, I gathered you actually took the screenshot yourself, etc. Sorry to come off like a jerk!

Seems like we're coming along pretty well here. Have we figured out moves yet, or do I still have a chance at making a discovery by spamming hex ;P? LOL!

Virtual Chatot March 16th, 2008 7:24 AM

Thethethethe found the attacks, thanks :3

I'm sorry, but mike in his infinite nublyness was wrong. i hacked the textures, no maps were edited.

Michael Allison March 16th, 2008 12:38 PM

Well, you didn't really explain what it was, so I needed to assume things... :/ *hits Gabe's arm*

Nope, haven't found the shinies yet. If it works the same way as the GBA versions, which I'm sure it probably does, I can probably disassemble the file and search through it, or I can do something else which would probably help out with it too.
