Getting Dragon Fang

Could someone tell me how to get that Dragon Tamer Nicholas in Meteor Cave to challenge me more? I've fought him 3 times. I need to more to get him to give me the dragon fang as I understand it. I haven't had any probs getting the bug maniac to challenge me and 1 more battle and I'll have the silver powder.

Anyone here have some tips for me. I'm playing Ruby and I've beaten the game and just having fun training and doing contest stuff.

Frostweaver September 12th, 2004 5:49 PM

well usually moving around that area will cause the trainer to battle you more, so that means hang around in meteor cave.

KaeL September 12th, 2004 5:59 PM

I have 2 questions. I have poke colosseum, Fr, and Ruby. Is there any thing special i get can since i have these 3 things? such as national dex or something?

Also, i bought the strat guide for Fr/Lg and it only shows 3 islands. Can some one explain these islands to me?

Simon September 12th, 2004 6:08 PM

No..not really. You get the National Dex from Oak by beating the E4 with 60 or more Pokemon. Since you have Colosseum, you can evolve your Eevee into Espeon and Umbreon also...

There are nine islands. Three will be open to you after getting the 7th badge. Seven of them (including the first 3) will be open once you defeat the E4 once. The last 2 islands you can only get to by getting 2 tickets that Nintendo will probably rlease in the future as a promotion.

KaeL September 12th, 2004 6:18 PM

Ok..... what about the colosseum and Eevee? and cant i get my ruby to have a nation dex with something also? and isnt there something about the other latios/latias on something called like the southern island?

Simon September 12th, 2004 6:19 PM

Read the RSE FAQ about Southern Island.

You get NationalDex on RuSa by trading between FRLG and RuSa, which you can't do until you find the Ruby and Sapphire plates on the islands in FRLG.

KaeL September 12th, 2004 6:20 PM

OK thanx.. wheres the faq is it a sticky? ( havent looked yet ). and what island do i find the plates on?

Mr Cat Dog September 13th, 2004 9:54 AM

The plates? Err.. you get the Ruby Plate on Island one in some cave after you beat the Elite 4. And you get the Sapphire plate after beating the Rocket who took it on Island 6, although you defeat the Rocket in the headquarters after going to Islands 6 and 7.

KaeL September 13th, 2004 3:43 PM

Thanx...still cant find the faq. can some1 help me? Btw i am in desperate need of 2 items.... i want this team so far for my Fr. I want charizard, butterfree, gengar, stellix, dewgong, and dragonite. im missing the steelix so i need to know where i can get metal coat.. ill get the dewgong later. Also im training my haunter and dratini(i bought it at casino) and im in desperate need of an exp share. DO i have to trade one from my ruby or is there one in the game.

Simon September 13th, 2004 4:42 PM

The FAQ should be somewhere below the Codes sticky. And try asking FRLG questions in the FRLG forum instead of the RSE forum.

KaeL September 13th, 2004 4:57 PM

Ok sorry and thank you, wait a minute... has the Fr/Lg simple questions opened up yet?

Simon September 13th, 2004 5:38 PM

Gee...I don't know...maybe you should go look eh!?!

KaeL September 13th, 2004 5:59 PM

Hehe, well i did and im kinda stupid... so please tell me. Has there been a forum opened yet? if not.. is there going to be one soon?

It's called a "thread" not a forum. And you could have went to go look for it and not asked that question. And it's the link below.

Ok on to my question (more like my brother's question because it's a Pokemon he wants).

Ok he wants a Shiftry and he wants it to have Explosion and Faint Attack (Seedot get Explosion and Nuzleaf gets Faint Attack). But Seedot gets Explosion at level 43 and Nuzleaf gets Faint Attack at level 31. So I was thinking of doing this (tell me if it works or not, I think it will but I'm not 100% sure).

First let the Seedot level up to 43 to get Explosion then evol it to Nuzleaf then go to that Move Tutor guy in Fallarbor Town and have him teach Nuzleaf Faint Attack.
Will that work or is there any other way to get both of them attacks?

Simon September 13th, 2004 7:53 PM

o.o *dies* Andy posted in Pokemon forums...

Erm..it MIGHT not work. Far as I know, the Move Tutor only reteaches moves a Pokemon has already learned or had a chance to learn.

If it doesn't work, tell him to do it through breeding and egg moves. Get a male Nuzleaf/Seedot that knows Explosion/Faint Attack and breed it with a female Seedot or any of it's evolutions to get another Seedot that'll hatch with Explosion or Faint Attack as an Egg Move....make sense?

Well yea I post in Pokemon forums. You know I use to be a Mod in the Pokemon game forums (for maybe two weeks). XD

Thanks Azn, but now he is going with another dark attack X_X *hits his brother for doing that to him*. XD

Mr Cat Dog September 14th, 2004 10:10 AM

Well, if you have something like this with another Pokemon (say Lotad) it definitely DOES work. That's they way to get a Medicham with all punches to breed onto an Alakazam. But since you're brother wants another dark attack (for which you can tell him the only one that does any damage apart from Faint Attack is Thief) this may not be as much to you, as it is to other people

Toothache September 14th, 2004 11:32 AM

Don't forget Bite and Crunch, those are both Dark type attacks which damage

First of all, why didn't you use the Breeders Corner?

Second, this will work. Get the Seedot to learn Explosion, and then evolve to Nuzleaf. Grab a Heart Scale, and you can learn Faint Attack. Actually, this the only way to do it since you can't breed Faint Attack onto Seedot.

Tesla7zap September 14th, 2004 11:40 AM

I am trying to catch Feebas. I know there are only 6 tiles you can catch it on. Are those tiles beside each other or spread out throughout the area?

Well because I don't have a clue what the "Breeders Corner" is for (that's what I get when Steve runs off and starts something without talking about it X_X) and it's a simple question on R/S. XD

He said he was going to get Thief so no need to blow brain power thinking about it. XD

It's spread out over ANY water tile on Route 119.

Umm... when does Ralts learn a new attack? ^^

Toothache September 14th, 2004 6:12 PM

What level is your Ralts, JKaizer?

Simon September 14th, 2004 6:12 PM

...*thinks the world is coming to an end*

I don't know what level your Ralts is at but here's a list of what Ralts learns and at which level. It evovles at level 20 and again at level 30. So if it does evolve, the list below will change since it's for Ralts only.

Growl (Normal) - N/A
Confusion (Psychic) - Level 6
Double Team (Normal) - Level 11
Teleport (Psychic) - Level 16
Calm Mind (Psychic) - Level 21
Psychic (Psychic) - Level 26
Imprison (Psychic) - Level 31
Future Sight (Psychic) - Level 36
Hypnosis (Psychic) - Level 41
Dream Eater (Psychic) - Level 46

aRedMoon September 14th, 2004 6:12 PM

I meant first new attack. >_>

*just caught it in Emerald and is annoyed at the only attack being Growl*
