Then you shouldn't reply. And that's the simple truth of it.

Kotowari April 21st, 2007 5:31 AM

^do you mind translating what you wrote? I think many people (including me) can't read it.

pokejungle April 21st, 2007 5:38 AM

It is, unfortunately, only for those who speak Japanese.

If we're going to have a Japanese club I support posting in Japanese. Translations look n00bish.

sho April 21st, 2007 5:59 AM

Hello,I'm very interested in this club.
I am a Japanese, so I speak and write Japanese.
But I can speak English a little.

That's the reasoning below:

But I do think we need some translation, or maybe just for Kanji because otherwise it will become too hard for some to read and understand (i.e me! xD).

僕は二年、日本語を勉強していますから、まあまあ上手じゃない...

pink-tiger April 21st, 2007 3:16 PM

I'm very glad to know that many people like Japan.
たくさんの方が日本を好きだと知ってとてもうれしいです。

I may often make a mistake, please overlook.
よく間違(machiga)えた英語(eigo)を書(ka)くと思(omo)いますが よろしくおねがいします。
(I do'nt know how to say <yoroshiku onegai simasu> in English.)

Ayano Katagiri April 21st, 2007 4:28 PM

英語で、 ”よろしくお願いします”は "Pleased to meet you"が少し同じです。

Hajimemashite is more like "Please to meet you" I think. Yoroshikuonegaishimasu is like "Please treat me nicely", and there is no English equivalent.

And sorry, but some kanji isn't displaying correctly at PC, so even I'm having trouble with some of the Japanese.

Sho: Yeah, I'm in Osaka.

My phrase book thingy and the expression sheet that we got in class says that Hajimemashite is "How do you do?" or "Please/Nice to meet you" and Douzo yuroshikuonegaishimasu is "Nice to meet you [Polite]. Please think kindly of me".

It's not only Kanji, PC just doesnt read some of the characters after its been posted, even if its Hiragana or just full stops actually...

sho April 21st, 2007 7:41 PM

Thank you to teach me English.(^^
[yoroshiku onegai shimasu]is politely.
So I usualy use [yoroshiku!] when I talk with my friends and family.

It seems that some chinese Characters and hiragana don't
display correctly.

I sometimes play pokemon diamond and pearl.(Ofcouse Japanese version)
Let's trade pokemon some day if you are OK with you!
yoroshiku!!(^^)

pokejungle April 22nd, 2007 4:44 AM

I have the Japanese Diamond version.

お早う皆!

Hey guys! I just found a... uhmm, Japanese to English, English to Japanese Dictionary, Translator... etc. in the web. It's not what I expect of it but it's helpful! I'll still continue my dictionary though (you'll see why when you donwload it).

Here is it...http://wakan.manga.cz/?page=download&lang=en it's a freeware, and it's called Wakan. Well, this site do have lots of other Dictionary... -尋雪

pokejungle April 26th, 2007 12:25 AM

I never trust translations ;< In Japan there are killer Japanese-English electronic dictionaries though.

XD, the online translators always come out with something strange and funny...

hiroyuki11 April 26th, 2007 3:16 PM

I know that. There's no romaji in wakan though... so I'll continue the Dictionary I've been working on, wakan, I think is just a tutorial... I haven't grasp the true potential of it, (given the fact it's hard to understand, my first time to use something like this).

At least there's Kanji... there's no really a translation, just a dictionary.
