My Question is When Can I Fight Heatran and where ?

If this is Platinum you don't have to fight Heatran to catch Dialga and Palkia as I have caught them both and not Heatran yet

I'm trying to set my DS to Friday so that I can get Drifloon, but it's not working. Does it know I'm being naughty and impatient? Or am I not doing something?

Christopher July 25th, 2010 8:16 PM

try setting it to thursday letting it roll over to Friday save then move the clock to "night" I think that is what I did but it was awhile ago

Weavile05 July 25th, 2010 8:23 PM

yeah, I do that to get tons of massages.
get massage
set time to 23:59
wait one minute

Is there a easy way to work it out? or if someone could help me with find it i wud be over the moon lol

thanks

PS should i tell you guys the stats of my poke?

redsaber5859 July 25th, 2010 11:57 PM

go to press X, pokemon, select a pokemon, summarry

Timbjerr July 26th, 2010 12:07 AM

There are several IV calculators on the Internet, like this one on Serebii.net but they only work if you know how many and what kind of EVs you've got on your pokemon too. They simply require inputting your pokemon species, their nature, their final stats as the game displays them, and their EVs.

iamdragon July 26th, 2010 12:35 AM

i have just got a lv48 floatzel, is there any way i can work it out or do i have to get it to lv 100?

Timbjerr July 26th, 2010 12:59 AM

oops, forgot to mention that. XD

There's a field for you to specify what level your pokemon is at as well, at least with the one at Serebii.net that I linked to . :P

iamdragon July 26th, 2010 1:12 AM

o ok, i have tried that link only prob is that it has given me a couple of numbers for each stat?

The numbers under % are how sure the IV is; if it is at 100 then the IV is definitley what was calculated. No IV calculator will give you the exact IV's for a Pokemon, so the IV is one of the numbers between the Min and the Max, which is usually the number under the % because that number is the number in between the Min and the Max.

Is it possible to have a 4 player doubles match, where each player takes 6 Pokemon, like a 12 v 12? I seem to remember something like this before the Palkia/Dialga battle in DP and want to know if I can do the same thing online.

Not in the games. And the battle you're thinking of is actually 12 on 6 b/c your opponents (Mars and Jupiter) only have three Pokemon each and you and your rival both have access to all six of yours.

Actually, if you do a level 100 battle over wifi, you can write down the stats of your Floatzel and plug it into the calculator. Make sure it has no EVs or else it will skew the results.

Okay, my question is, I have a Rotom in Platinum, and I started a new game...but I have no Secret Key. SO, is it possible in any way to obtain a Rotom Forme? Like, trading with HGSS where you don't need a key, or something?

If you don't have the key, you won't be able to transform him.
If you transfer him to HGSS, you will be able to transform him, but you won't be able to trade it back to Platinum because WI-FI don't accept altered form.
However, if you have 2 DS, I think that you are able to trade it with his form change if you use the wireless trade (the other thing that don't need WI-FI)

-Jared- July 26th, 2010 4:26 PM

I do have two DS's. (or rather, my brother has one that I'll temporarily steal. XD) Thanks, I'll try it out.

EDIT: Nope, it didn't work...is there any other way? If not, it's okay. It'll do well as is.

Is the Shellos male or female? The only way to breed the blue Shellos is to have a blue mother.

You only need your SID if you wish to RNG abuse more shinies. You can produce flawless Pokemon without your SID.

What kind of DS (Lite, DSi, old, etc)?
What are you trying to do (breed, capture)? Do not use Everstone for breeding.
What are are your results, if you got that far?
Are you confused about frames, delay, hitting/selecting target spreads, etc?

Pal Pad Problems

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has had pal pad glitches/problems. For the last two days I haven't been visible to anyone on my pal pad and they don't show up as online to me as well :(

Could anyone help me out with any info on the problem, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I'm using Pearl on my DS lite

Thanks,
Nattie

Inv4sion July 29th, 2010 8:47 PM

Do you hack with stuff like AR or GameShark?
If so that could be the problem. Also does your wifi work?

TrainerMao July 30th, 2010 9:49 AM

So GTS works but pal pad still doesnt work. Are there any remedies for such a thing, at this point i'm even considering just starting over :\

Weavile05 July 30th, 2010 11:35 AM

Make sure they are the right friend codes.

chr2507 August 2nd, 2010 3:22 AM

If you're playing D/P use VS. Seeker on the old couple on route 212 and give the amulet coin to the pokémon you're using. They pay you very well every battle, don't remember exactly how much

Nope. Wondercard Pokemon cannot be shiny unless they are pre-set as shiny (e.g. VGC Milotic or Eevee).

The move should still pass onto the baby if all goes well. The only requirement is the moves come from the male - it shouldn't matter whether its mate is a female or a Ditto.

I'm trying to get a Munchlax with Curse, so I got a female Munchlax and a male Slowpoke with Curse, but they won't make an egg. Can anyone tell me why?

EDIT:

Forget that, but I've got another question. Does Soothe Bell double the happiness you get every 256 steps? I figure that 70 to 220 = 150 and 150 * 256 = 38400 / 2 for Soothe Bell = 19200. I walked the 19200 steps with Soothe Bell, but my Munchlax won't evolve and I can't figure out why. I'm pretty sure Munchlax's base happiness is 70.

Charmander_004 August 5th, 2010 10:33 AM

question here!!!!

hey guys I've just got Pokemon Diamond (kinda late huh?) but I've also got pokemon ruby, leaf green and lots of pokemon there that I've been training for pretty long time. But I just saw that in all fourth gen games lots of the pokemon from kanto, hoenn... have got new moves that are quite usefull. The question is if I trade all of my pokemon through the pal park to diamond (but they are all level 50 or more), is there a way to learn again any forgotten moves like there is in Hoenn and Kanto? (by exchanching items or other method) and will I be able to learn "again" those moves that are specifically from the fourth gen that those pokemon are supposed to learn through leveling up but that I no longer can because they have already passed that level? For example I have a level 50 gyarados and buterfree. If I trade them to diamond through the pal park, can they learn "aqua tail" and "bug buzz" respectively by using the method I mentioned even though there wasnt a moment where they actually learned those moves and then forgot them? Or do I have to capture others in diamond and train them all over again from the start so they can learn those moves? And IF the method I mentioned is possible, how many times can you do it? Because in Hoenn there are a lot of heart scales, but in LF I've only found a few tiny mushrooms. Thanks I hope you understand my question.

Amore August 5th, 2010 12:14 PM

Yeah, there's a Move Tutor in Pastoria City.

Sadly, Heart Scales are easier found in Platinum...still, you can get those moves

Faten August 5th, 2010 12:49 PM

Ahem. Quick question in regards to a Pokemon I have. Anyway, I hatched a shiny Feebas at one point, who was female. I later evolved it into a shiny blue Milotic which I use in my party. The thing is, every single source I've found states that the female form of a shiny Milotic has blue eyebrows in Platinum and the males have red eyebrows. I saw some battles on YouTube and have verified that.

HOWEVER...My Milotic somehow ended up with red eyebrows in Platinum? XD Random, I know, but anyone have any ideas how? I have proof, by the way, that my Milotic is female, shiny, and has red eyebrows.

Amore August 5th, 2010 2:01 PM

I can't explain it, but:

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Milotic

If you notice, on there, the female has red eyebrows in all games except Platinum. So, I suppose technically your Platinum might've looked on Bulbapedia and corrected itself ;)

Faten August 5th, 2010 2:04 PM

Yeah, that's where I got the information and noticed that my Milotic was being an exception. =p Although, I would have preferred the blue eyebrows. =\

I got my Platinum in May of 2010, though, so could they maybe have fixed that slight error in color? x3

Amore August 5th, 2010 2:20 PM

Possibly. It would make sense.

I mean, they fixed the Surf Glitch for English editions of Diamond & Pearl, so why not fix the colouration problem for later versions of Platinum?

~Patrick~ August 5th, 2010 2:48 PM

So I've reached Floaroma city and I've recently acquired 2 new water Pokemon, so I have 3 currently.

Psyduck at lv 14, Shellos at lv 12, and Buizel at lv 12 also. In your opinion which is worth the time to keep in party and level up the most as your Water type?

Hmm, if you were like me, you'd pick the one whose design you like most. xD But I'm sure you want usefulness. In that case, I think I would pick Buizel and evolve it into Floatzel. I'm assuming you're planning on using it for Surf or maybe even Waterfall? Golduck has a pretty decent Special Attack, and Gastrodon is nearly the same, with incredible HP.

Floatzel, on the other hand, is okay in terms of Special Attack (for Surf) but has great Attack and Speed, with some good moves to back it up. It can still do some nice damage with Surf, too. I like it for Ice Fang and Crunch and Aqua Jet, though.

Thanks for the advice, I liked Buizel's variety of moves. Although I did stick with Psyduck for now ... I tried using Buizel for a while but it just seemed too frail.. really couldn't take many hits, maybe it gets better later on and I still might give it a chance but I kind of like the idea of getting Golduck, since I've never used one in my previous Pokemon games.

So,I just got done beating the elite 4 on platinum. So today i desided to relax and do some after game stuff.I went and caught Dialga and Palkia. Then went to my box to check what pokemon i have and see stats and such.I was going thru them and saw i had a level 19 roselia that i got back in july on the 21st on route 209 in pokemon platinum and i seen it had pokerus.I was like omg i can't belive i missed it having it.It has been in the box1 with about 29 other pokemon since july the 21st and has not spread it on to anyone else.

I thought i read some where that it spreads while in party or in boxes. So does it ?

And how rare is it that i caught a wild pokemon with it?

After looking in my box just now i happen to see it has been passed on to one other pokemon.

So will it keep spreading ?

Faten August 6th, 2010 8:02 PM

It's quite rare indeed, so congratulations. =D

To my knowledge, though, Pokerus does not spread whilst the infected Pokemon resides in the PC. It just won't go away after two days. You must have the infected Pokemon in your party to spread it to the others in your party.

So, if you plan on EV training with it, then infect the one you want and quickly put the source of the Pokerus back in the PC so Pokerus stays.

TwilightBlade August 6th, 2010 8:06 PM

Pokerus only spreads to other party members and you have to initiate a few battles. Just run; it will spread to others.

You have a 3 in 65536 chance of finding Pokerus. It's 3 times rarer than a shiny Pokemon.

Pokerus will keep spreading as long as the Pokemon have a status condition PKRS. If you leave the infected Pokemon in your party and midnight passes, the Pokemon may be cured, and lose the ability to spread Pokerus. Just deposit infected Pokemon into your PC right before midnight, and withdraw them right after midnight, then they will have Pokerus forever. Pokerus does not cure while the Pokemon is stored in the PC.

Either way, infected or cured, a Pokemon will always receive the EV boosts.

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pokérus

Morgnarok August 6th, 2010 8:16 PM

So i caught 2 Pokemon with pokerus and didn't know...i thought it just spread.

I'm chaining Absol. I was at 17 and went into a patch of grass (Repel was definitely in effect) and encountered an Absol. I killed it and when I appeared back in the grassy area, no patches of grass moved and my chain ended. Can someone please tell me why my chain ended?

TwilightBlade August 10th, 2010 10:23 AM

Phazon

Avoid grass patches on the border, edge, corner, or blocked by an obstacle. It is best to reset the pokeradar and to stay in the middle of the field; that way, you have grass surrounding you and you will be able to continue your chain.

Your chain will also end if you use a rare candy or hop on your bicycle, iirc.

Hey I was wondering does the method of getting shinies through foreign pokemon work even if the foreign pokemon isn't traded through the GTS?

aviate August 12th, 2010 10:22 AM

Full fashion case or bag? How to empty or override? Tnx!

cant trade berries for accessories, it says "you can't carry any more" - no one knows how to fix this, do u? Thanks.

My kid and I painstakingly planted hundreds of berries so he could get all the accessories for his "fashion case" to dress his pokemon up for contests and pictures. But when we try to trade in the berries in Floraroma town in the berry store to get new accessores, it says "oh you can not carry any more than that". We got some of the accessories we already have by trading in berries, and the rest were found in Amity Park while walking a pokemon. But now it won't let us trade for any more. So even tho we have 107 Spelon berries to trade in for a carpet but it says no. Please can anyone help? I tried letting some pokemon (in Bebes box) hold/carry items in my "bag", to see if that would empty out the bag a bit, but it didnt allow me to trade the berries in. And then I tried selling back some pokeballs and whatever else was saleable, even TMS- to the store, but that didnt free up the bag either. I have like 20 fluffs and feathers I Could dump out of the actual fashion case, (Which is where the accessories I am trying to acquire are to be stored) but I dont know how.there is no option to dump stuff out of the fashion case. And what the lady in the berry store says is "oh you cannot carry more than that". ??? She doesnt make specific mention to the fashion case, so thats why I was trying to sell other items that are easy to get rid of. Allegedly, the case was said to be limitless, according to one site I saw. Which made me think I could dump other items out of the "bag", instead. Whatdya think, is there anywhere I could find out this weird info? I have searched on google and the only thing I found is someone asking the identical question, with no answer to it. I have like 1200 berries and I cant trade them now, lol. I did a very extensive search on google but no one seems to know. Help?

Mareep doesn't learn any water type egg moves. Only normal, psychic, electric, dark, and ground. Go here. Scroll down to egg moves

no I have not already gotten one, unfortunately. I have some other items like the mirror ball, but cant get the carpet etc. cause it won't let me. Good thought tho!! Any idea what I can do to fix this? thanks much.

aviate August 13th, 2010 6:20 PM

DRAGONOMEGA-
U WERE RIGHT. There WAS a carpet in the bag, tho it never took my 100 berries for it, so I have no idea how it got there. We took weeks to save 100 berries and tried to trade them, and somehow the carpet got there without taking the berries (which is why I never knew it was there). Thanks, I wouldnt have really looked had you not mentioned that.

Shiny Spreads are only really used for capturing Pokemon. For breeding you will need RNG Reporter.

That isn't delay. Delay is roughly 60 times the seconds between game start and hitting A on the Continue screen. In DP, a typical delay is 620. In Platinum, a typical delay is 600. In HGSS, a typical delay is 490. These numbers vary between players.

You must calibrate and find your own delay, and if it is even or odd... Download RNG Reporter. There is a way to work it on Macs now, just search.

Elite Overlord LeSabre™ August 15th, 2010 7:43 AM

Iron Head is the only one of those which is an Egg move. Your Aron will have Iron Head, but not the other two moves.

Weavile05 August 16th, 2010 9:02 AM

where can I get a Psychic TM in Platinum?

Kylie-chan August 16th, 2010 9:08 AM

TM29 (Psychic) can be found in Route 211, and you can also exchange 10000 tokens for it at the Exchange.

Ok, another question, where can I find a trainer who has Porygon2? It's all I need to complete my Sinnoh dex.

There is a trainer on Route 216 (Ace trainer Blake) who has Porygon2. I'm not sure, but he might be one of the ones you need Rock Climb to get to.

Do you have to have beaten the Elite 4 in Emerald before Mirage Island can appear?

professor plum August 17th, 2010 1:56 PM

This is the DPPt section.
But, as far as I know, no, you don't have to beat the E4 to get Mirage Island appear:)

saimnadeem August 17th, 2010 5:09 PM

What's different about Platinum and Diamond and Pearl?

Kylie-chan August 17th, 2010 5:30 PM

It's basically upgraded. Extra storyline, extra Pokémon formes, slight variations in Pokémon availability, battle frontier, mechanics changes, some map changes, bigger Sinnoh 'dex. You might not want to spoil yourself, but there's a list here.

clock, time event problems

hey guys i guess i got a problem with my diamond game clock because berries are not growing and the honey trees dont move. Yesterday i was trying to capture a burmy using the dam trees, it was like 14:20 or so. I had already saved the game while the tree was still moving (btw i had just beaten gardenia and now i have two badges),but before that i had planted some berries too. Then i tried the capture a burmy but i wanted a male one with a specific nature since i want a mothim. But getting a male one with the natures i wanted is though so i had to reset several times. But then the tree stoped moving i guess because the time for that tree had expired and i really wanted a burmy and its hard the get those, it was like 14:40, so i went to the ds system clock and removed an hour so it was like 13:40. The tree started moving again, so i finally captured the burmy i wanted, so i saved the game, but i guess i screwed up the clock because the berries i planted (at 14:00 or so) wont grow, of course i put the correct time again and waited a day. Also the trees dont move either. How can i fix the clock? I searched the web for glitches like these but found nothin only i guy that said that the time based events like berries wont work for a while, but how MUCH is that WHILE? Hope i dont have to start over again!!!!

Amore August 20th, 2010 12:37 AM

This is only theoretical, but it's the method I use for correcting everything, and getting fast pokeballs from Kurt, using clock manipulation on HeartGold - those games have more in-built stuff to kill you if you mess with time than Diamond, so this should work:

- Set time to 23:59 yesterday.
- Go onto your Diamond game (make sure you manage it before a minute passes, otherwise you have to try again).
- Wander around in-game for 2 or 3 mins, until 00:01 or later today.
- Save.
- Change the time to match what time it really is today.
- Go back on, plant berries, etc. wait however long you're supposed to, and the berries should grow.

Charmander_004 August 20th, 2010 10:46 AM

thanks for the help, i'll try that out, but i still hope more people answers if your method doesnt work. BTW i wonder whats gonna happen with the berries i had already planted, will they grow, dissappear or stay in the mud forever?

Amore August 20th, 2010 12:06 PM

I'm not sure...I'd imagine their timers will be reset. I've never noticed with Apricorns, so sorry, I can't give you a sufficiently sure answer.

Kyle95 August 20th, 2010 1:06 PM

Im ev training my teddiursa. im going to give it pokerus and a power item. When calculating evs do you double it first then add four, or add four then double it?

Amore August 20th, 2010 1:07 PM

Double it, add 4.

Lol, I know from experience. Mucked up 20 pokemon.

Actually, it's the other way around. Add four, then double it. For example 1+4*2=10.

WOW, your method worked man!, dont know how or why but it did, you're my HERO, next time i wont mess with the stupid clock again, no matter what. Even the berries i planted two days ago are blooming now and the honey trees are moving again. Thanks again.

Hi.
On Platinum I really want a Charmander. I haven't completed the Sinnoh Dex or beat the Elite Four yet; but can my friend still trade me a Charmander over from SoulSilver when I only have the Sinnoh Dex?

TwilightBlade August 21st, 2010 2:38 PM

JackGamer, I've locally traded (for a Darkrai) after reaching Sandgem... For WiFi trading for non Sinnoh Pokemon, I believe just having the first badge suffices. You don't need to beat the game to be traded Kanto, Johto, etc Pokemon. They just won't register in your National Dex until you get that. In their summary, they will have a ??? instead of a Dex number... :)

Tsuna Kun. August 24th, 2010 12:56 AM

K so i have four badges so far, none of my pokemon can use stregnth because apperently i need another badge, and i haven't recieved surf yet.

I have no idea where to go or what i'm supposed to go. I tried to go to the sunny city or whatever it said that there was a black out and that i cannot pass.

Anyone help?

Weavile05 August 24th, 2010 6:42 AM

Are you in Platinum or DP?
Platinum: Go beat Crasher Wake in Pastoria. You will need an Electric type and a Grass type
DP: Go to Hearthome and beat Fantina.

This forum isn't for asking about ROMs, you'll want to look in the Emulation forum.

anel August 24th, 2010 1:53 PM

Ok,sorry,i didnt know.....

cyan. August 24th, 2010 3:33 PM

uh, i dont know if im allowed to ask this, but;
what is random number generator breeding?

TheBestOne August 24th, 2010 4:11 PM

Regarding the D/P/P FAQ page where there is a section on where and how to get all the Pokemon - when it says "Emerald/Ruby/Sapphire" inserted, does it mean that it has to be strictly "Emerald" etc?

Weavile05 August 24th, 2010 4:29 PM

If it says, Emerald, you have to have Emerald. If it says, Ruby, you have to have Ruby. and so on and so forth.

Surmonter August 25th, 2010 10:16 AM

Gengar is the only Pokémon that works with all cartidges too.

Can Feebas be caught with an Old Rod in Platinum? Some places say you have to use a Super Rod. Some say you can use any rod. Some say you have to use a Super Rod then on other pages on that same website they say you can use any (Serebii >_>) then there are people claiming to have fished on a Feebas tile with an Old Rod for an hour and found nothing, then used a Good/Super Rod and found it right away. Then there are people who say they find it on every rod. Then there are people who say they only find it on the Old Rod.

WHICH IS IT?! Can I use an old rod or not? X_X
