My GCN is broken!! (see inside for explanation)

Yes I know... Sad, isn't it? :'(
Everybody we know pitched in to buy me one (long story), and now it's gone...
Guess it's time to get that job I've been putting off for 3 years and buy a new one, huh?
And it wouldn't be so bad if my controllers still worked, because I wouldn't have to buy any more of those, either...:(

Anyway, I'm gonna buy a new 'Cube, new controllers, and a new game!
(when I have enough "cha-ching")

This is a poll about what game I should buy.
I'd also appreciate if you left your comments about your choice here.
(or suggest a better game!)

That's about it, so happy voting!

Hmm.....I thought that FF:CC was a tad bit disappointing in the end, so out of those I would defenitely choose Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. Do you already have the Wind Waker though? Or Super Smash Brothers Melee? Those are really good games too hehe..

I’d tend to agree with 100marios, though I hear Viewtiful Joe is a really good game as well. Check some review sites, get some info. I wouldn’t get iNinja, it’s good at first, but then it gets repetitious. It also really depends on what kind of games you like, and how long you like to play a game. ^_^;;

Pokemon Master #1 May 4th, 2004 2:23 PM

Take the masters advice.

O.K. erm.....Really good freind, I believe whatever you think is correct.Remember this though,as long as the PokeCommunity is running I will always support you :cheeky: !Please reply.....

I've played a demo of Viewtiful Joe at Best Buy, (Sometimes I just go there to do things like that hehe, like when they first had the Gamecube on display) and it's a really fun game. I guess it really depends what you're more into, action or simulation games. For some reason though, I can't help but feel that Viewtiful Joe would be a short game....
The sequel is also coming out sometime this year, so I guess it would be cool to get the original! When are you getting your new Gamecube, Pokemon Master #1?

Pokemon Master #1 May 4th, 2004 3:14 PM

I have a Nintendo Game Cube.

I have a Game Cube, and i don't need a new one.If you think it's possible to be a Pokemon master and not have a Game Cube then that would be quite hard.I hope this message did not offend you in any way.

I know how you feel, my Gamecube is also broken.:(
I think you should get Final Fantasy, it looks like a really good game.:)

Pokémon Channel is fun, but it gets boring after awhile, so Stick with FF. ^_^

100marios May 4th, 2004 6:59 PM

Eh, I played FF. Trust me, if you don't have the equipment needed to play with at least two people, don't bother. It gets really old, really fast. It's fun with a lot of people, but there is practically no story at all. But hey, it's just my opinion of the game.

I think that SSBM (Super Smash Bros. Melee) is a good game to start with. It's really fun to play, it's hard to get board of it, it's multi-player, and it has many different Nintendo characters in it. It is also cheaper now.

Apparently FFCC isn't so good. The PS2 ones are better. (I wouldn't know, I haven't played either). But I'd say FF or Pokémon. XD You're lucky, I've wanted a console for years.

Well, I'd gladly buy you one if I had the money. lol
That's only because I've seen you at '2knet, though.
Ever go anymore? I rarely do...
Seems they haven't had any new resources for like, a year. lol

And now, onto the point with the subject at hand: "What game to buy?"

Well, I've played a few of these games, and like most of them...
I've already got Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Master Quest (I love that title. it reminds me of old Pokémon eps. lol), Super Smash Bros. Melee, and a couple other games.

The only kinds of games I don't like are sports games (with the exception of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004), not to be confused with extreme sports such as skateboarding.

I like long games, too. If I can beat a game in under a day, I tend not to waste my cash (because I can just rent it).

Maybe I should get FF:CC so I can say I have the game to match my shirt. lol
Then again, I could always get PGA Tour...
I donno... That's what you guys are for! ^_^

I'd say Viewtiful Joe, as it has gotten the best reviews... and it's actually supposed to be this really long game, so don't worry about the game length. Like everyone else has said, it all depends what genre of games you like...

Me too VJ is one of the best games out there, Its simple, but thats what makes it fun. You are given VFX abilties to (like a movie) to slow down time, fast forward time, and zoom. Each one of these has a differenet effect on the game play. If your in slow-motion say, you can dodge bullets in a Matrix type way along with cool fighting moves to, If your in Fast-Forward mode, you can make all your movements and Attacks go extremely fast making for awsome combos, and Finaly zoom. I bet your saying what the heck does zoom do? Well zoom Intenisfies the attacks making them stronger, so you could zoom and go in fast motion for fast powerful attacks.

Well i hope this helps this is prolly the best game out of all the ones you posted above, plus cheaper! I hope you get this one! :D
