The Pal Park?

Can anyone post how this works? I have both my Diamond game and my Fire Red game in my DS Lite and outside the Pal Park. I don't understand. The guy keeps on saying get six pokemon before you can eanter the catching contest. Please list how to start from my FR all the way to my Diamond game.

Midnight Beat May 18th, 2007 7:00 PM

Start Diamond, when it comes up to the menu that says continue, new game, and options it will also say migrate from whatever game you have in. Select migrate and follow the instructions. Then go to the pal park and the man will let you in.

PS make sure you delete HM off any pokemon you intend to transfer to Diamond because it won't let if you don't.

I'm trying to do that as I've looked at various videos on YouTube. I have my Fire Red version inside the GBA Slot in my DS Lite. I have Diamond in the DS Slot and when I load diamond only three options come up and those are the normal always ones " Continue game, New game, and WFC Settings. No Migrate setting pops up.

Now this might not be it but I have heard that you need the national dex in the gba game in order to do it. Do you?

Not very sure. I know for sure I do not have the ND in my Fire red but in my diamond I do. I'll try to get it, can anyone classify that theory correct, please?

Angelic Diablo May 18th, 2007 7:09 PM

You do need the national dex in both games in order to migrate, thus making it more challenging to be able to migrate, rather than just migrating them at the very start of a game and restarting to get all the starters or something

Alright thanks for that clarification. I still have alot to go if I want to migrate. Let me start working. =]

ToraSushii May 18th, 2007 7:32 PM

I'm sure you don't need the National Dex on the GBA game. I mean, I transfered my Emerald Pokemon even though I didn't have the National Dex.

Abby3563663 May 18th, 2007 7:37 PM

You definitely don't need it in Ruby or Sapphire at least—just be sure you have it in Diamond. You got it from Professor Oak?

kingofgames157 May 19th, 2007 6:21 AM

Try getting ur National Dex in Fire red
and if that works

COMPLAIN >.<

You don't need to do that, and the main question's been answered already.

I've tried. I do not have my ND in my Fire Red game, but I do in my Diamond game.

wakachamo May 19th, 2007 7:50 AM

Oh OK, sorry about that. I thought you said you didn't have it in Diamond. OK, then try and get the ND in FR by catching at least 60 Pokémon.

I have to catch 60 pokemon or see 150 Pokemon?

wakachamo May 19th, 2007 8:16 AM

In FireRed you need to catch 60 Pokémon.

All different correct? ( Message too short)

wakachamo May 19th, 2007 8:30 AM

Yes, they have to be all different in order for this to work. Simply catching 60 Caterpies won't help, because your Pokédex needs to have 60 registered in there. That's how it works. =P

dragon82993 May 19th, 2007 8:53 AM

You do not need the national dex for any of the GBA games. I've tried. Make sure you've talked to the guy that lets you in to the area before you can migrate. Also check to see if your fire red is in all the way and such.

Can anyone prove this correct?

wakachamo May 19th, 2007 8:56 AM

I can't, but why don't you just try again and see if the cartridge is put all the way through?

I already have 50 Pokemon caught and will keep trying. And yes it is in all the way.

Abby3563663 May 19th, 2007 9:27 AM

It's worth noting that the Pokemon you want to transfer need to be in the PC on the GBA. Also make sure the GBA game is saved in a Pokecenter, and that you've talked to everyone in the Pal Park before trying.

.Eevee-Chan May 19th, 2007 9:47 AM

you need the national dex in pokemon pearl or diamond first then u can migrate. u don't needthe dex in gba games though

.Eevee-Chan May 19th, 2007 9:49 AM

on the gba games u need to have 6 kinds of pokemon before you can migrate!!

I've stored all my pokemon that I want to transfer into my PC in FR. I've talked to everyone in the Pal Park and still no migrate. But I am going to keep trying on FR to get the ND. Only need 5 more pokemon to catch to get it. midnight in your PC or in your team?

.Eevee-Chan May 19th, 2007 9:51 AM

hope that helps!! u can only migrate once a day well that's what people say but i migrated 2 times on emerald and the when i wanted to migrate again it said it has not passed a whole day yet!!

I'm just trying to get the National Dex on both games to see if that helps me.

.Eevee-Chan May 19th, 2007 9:55 AM

you put them in the pc then u can choose the ones to transfer and give them items to hold so they will have that item when u catch them too.

Abby3563663 May 19th, 2007 9:56 AM

That's really strange that it isn't working. Are you positive that the GBA slot on your DS is working? Have you been playing FR or LG from with DS itself?

I did that on my Fire Red Version. I load up my Diamond screen and there is no migrate option. What might be wrong? And yes I am playing FR on my DS Lite right now.

.Eevee-Chan May 19th, 2007 9:57 AM

i did not get the natonal in my game but i still migrated them

Maybe it's different between FR and LF and R/S/E.

dragon82993 May 19th, 2007 2:08 PM

i have leaf green and I transfered Pokemon from that without the national dex...

Ichida May 19th, 2007 2:46 PM

I think you just need to have saved the GBA game inside a Pokemon Center, as that is the case for uploading to Colosseum or XD.

I actually bought the game from Japan and I think ** it's not really an official pokemon game ** its always saying whenever i save when i reload it it says the save file has corrupted.

Mm, yeah, if it's just a flash cart or something of that nature, it probably won't work. oo;

Well I got it off of Ebay. I think it's a hack. The Cartridge is black and then the sticker that says " Pokemon Fire Red Version ". It's in english though.

wakachamo May 20th, 2007 4:47 AM

Lol, all I can say is that hacked games most definitely won't work. You basically can't use that game to migrate to Pal Park.

ToraSushii May 20th, 2007 9:46 AM

A hacked GBA game. Well, that stinks. Especially If you got all sorts of good Pokemon in there.

Important note: legitimate Pokemon GBA cartridges are different colors. NOT black. You have a fake. No wonder you can't Pal Park with it.

I can probably still trade pokemon with it though thru link.

...Um...what do you mean? The only way to get Pokemon from Fire Red to Diamond is Pal Park...if you mean trading the Pokemon on your fake to a real GBA cartridge, then maybe...

Gyardosamped May 20th, 2007 10:20 AM

I found that out now, because I saw other people owning Fire Red and their cartridge was red. Anyways I bought a brand new Pokemon Ruby game so it should work! =D thanks everyone.
