Who should I choose? Which is better?

Well this person will offer me 1 of 2 Pokemon, and I was wondering which would be the better choice.
It is either:
Regigigas
or
Dialga?
I have Pearl.

Well I'd say that if you have the Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald games go with Dialga but if you don't go with Regigigas.

Paranoia May 29th, 2007 10:20 PM

I would definitely go with Dialga, as you can always borrow someone's regi trio, or trade for them.

Legacy May 30th, 2007 1:42 AM

I'd go for Regigigas, to be honest. There are plenty of Dialga on the GTS, you can easily trade your Palkia for one, but you can probably get one by offering a semi-rare Pokémon for it. Regigigas, on the other hand, is a lot more difficult to come by.

i would pick dailga because all u need to do is borrow some regis and the catch regigigas

Easily trade your Palkia? we're in collection matters, he wants to KEEP his Palkia right?

Hm, go for Dialga only if you really can't see yourself getting one through the GTS (which is rather easy really). If you have the means to get Regigigas already, it can go either way, but the GTS is definitely filled with Dialgas, and by no means do you have to trade your Palkia for one. Or better yet, trade to get another Palkia and trade that one off lol. Both Dialga and Palkia are kinda easy to get through the GTS, so I'd go for Regigigas.

Edit: all of this is moot if you are actually interested in using one or the other, and they happen to have IVs and/or a nature you need. But for collection-sake, Regigigas is the rarer one.

well Regigigas isn't rarer than Dialga if you have Pearl Version... maaan Palkia is all im missing for my Diamond Version Legendary collection..

Pkmn Trainer Alex May 30th, 2007 11:35 AM

Well, I meant rarer on the GTS. Which is heavily backed by how most people did pick Diamond over Pearl. The Regigigas issue is one that is more about whether someone has been playing the Pokémon games recently before 4th gen, or if they are starting/coming back into Pokémon only now that Diamond and Pearl are out. Personally, I don't have the means to get the Regis right now, but I can say that Dialga and Palkia tend to be used as mere throw-aways, especially on the GTS.

Choose Dialga, waaay better. :)

Gyardosamped May 30th, 2007 6:07 PM

Dialga, which is harder to find in the game, when Regiggas you can capture in both games.

i have to note that you can't get regigigas on GTS if you haven't seen it, and you won't see it that fast. dialgo you will see for sure! so go with gegigigas, and if you don't like it, i'll trade it for my dialga ;)!

Are you getting them for collection or use for battle? cause Regigigas is completely terrible used for battling... i dont want to waste my skill swap on my Alakazam just to take out Slow Start
