Honey Trees

I need a Burmy, so I just put honey on trees for the first time. I have two questions about them.

1. How much time do you wait until a Pokémon appears. I think waiting for a long time makes a rare Pokémon appear. About how much do I need for a Burmy?

2. What level are the Pokémon on the trees? Or around what level? Is this affected by which tree is used?

1. I heard it's around 3-6 hours but I don't really know since I put them during the night before I go to sleep and when I wake up I play, and pokemon appear.

2.Probably 6-15, atleast my catches were. I don't know about the next question.
