Random RMT

My friends and I decided to hold a lucky draw competition of sorts where we would draw six Pokemon at random and then train them to battle against one another (yes we have a lot of time on our hands).

Anyway, these are the six Pokemon I drew and was wondering if I could get any suggestions on how to improve them. Note, this team is for offline play against friends only, and is not for in-game or Wi-Fi.

I'm also quite new at this, this being my first competitive team, so I could only muster up as much information I could that made sense.

Medicham @ Salac berry
Nature: ???
EV's: 252 ATT / 252 SPD / 6 HP
- Substitute / Endure
- Shadow ball
- Reversal
- Bulk up / Brick break

Wailord @ Leftovers
Nature: Sassy
EV's: 252 HP / 48 DEF / 56 S.ATT / 152 S.DEF
- Curse
- Earthquake
- Rest
- Surf

I'm think 200 DEF / 56 S.ATT / 252 S.DEF with Sassy will work better. I also got suggestions about maxing its HP first but I have no idea why, since with such minimal defenses, it'd get steamrolled regardless, right?

Wailord @ Lefotvers
Nature: Modest
EV's: ???
- Surf
- Ice beam
- Water Pulse / Rest
- Water Spout / Sleep Talk

I was also thinking this might be appropriate for a Special Wailord, since it gets average physical moves with fair ATT. It's also a Sleep Talker which is one of the best Special sets you can get with Wailord, right? I'm just trying to fit him into the team as much as possible.

Elekid @ Sitrus Berry
Nature: Hasty
EV's: 96 ATT / 252 SPD / 160 S.ATT
- Cross Chop
- Ice Punch
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

Whiscash @ Leftovers
Nature: Modest
EV's: 160 HP / 95 DEF / 255 S.ATT
- Ice Beam
- Spark
- Surf
- Toxic

I was also thinking of an alternative; Quiet Nature and having EQ over Spark with 220 HP / 38 ATT / 252 S.ATT.

I also drew Dragonair and Slakoth, but have little to no idea on how to format them to compliment the rest of this team, as I've little to never used them before. Any movesets, EV's or suggestions would all be appreciated. I'm pretty virgin when it comes to UN and NU Pokemon, even with some BL's as well.

well i like that you're open minded enough to use Wailord. to put it simply... he can't take any hits even with such a high HP. here's what i suggest:

Wailord @ Choice Scarf
Nature: Hasty/Naive
252 Spd/192 Sp Atk/64 Atk
-Water Spout
-Ice Beam
-Earthquake
-Body Slam/Bounce/Surf

with MAX Speed and Choice Scarf, it reaches about 360 speed. that outruns everything except for the occasional Weavile/Swellow/Electrode. with that much speed, it can effectively pull off a max Water Spout and OHKO anything that doesn't resist water attacks. Earthquake is for other water types. the last slot is up to you. if you are worried that Wailord's HP will go down, therefore making Water Spout weaker, then go with Surf for the last slot. Body Slam/Bounce are just filler anyway, though Body Slam might come in handy.

that Wailord is a killer, but to use him effectively, you must switch in and out into something that is a good wall. Whiscash is good for this. max out Whiscash's HP, give it some atk and sp def evs. it can pull of a good physical moveset with a Careful/Impish nature. Spark/Earthquake/Waterfall/Protect. if you don't want Protect, you can always go for Substitute so that you can get free hits.

here's what i suggest for Medicham:
Medicham @ Salac Berry
Nature: Jolly
252 Spd/188 HP/68 Atk
-Hi Jump Kick/Brick Break/Drain Punch
-Psycho Cut
-Ice Punch
-Bulk Up/Recover

it is a bulky fighter. it needs a lot of HP to take hits to activate Salac Berry. it doesn't need that much Atk evs because its ability, Pure Power, doubles its attack stat anyway. with 68 Atk evs and Pure Power, its base Atk becomes 154.

Cool, thanks for that, although I'm still not sure what item Whiscash should hold. I also setup my Dragonair, Elekid and Slakoth. How are these setups?

Dragonair @ Leftovers / Wide Lens
Nature: Jolly
EV’s: 196 SPD / 252 ATT / 62 HP
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Waterfall
- Iron Tail / Return
Tactic: Increase SPD and ATT with Dragon Dance, then rush opponent with high attacks.

Dragonair @ Wise Glasses / Leftovers / Wide Lens / Focus Sash
Nature: Modest
EV’s: 20 SPD / 252 S.ATT / 120 HP / 118 S.DEF
- Agility
- Dragon Pulse
- Fire Blast
- Ice Beam / Blizzard / Thunderbolt / Thunder / Surf / Hyper Beam

Slakoth @ ???
Nature: Docile
EV’s: 128 ATT / 128 DEF / 252 HP
- Bulk Up
- Shadow Ball
- Flail
- ???

Elekid @ Sitrus Berry
Nature: Hasty
EV’s: 96 ATT / 252 SPD / 160 S.ATT
- Cross Chop
- Ice Punch
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

I actually have no idea about Slakoth, since Normal-types are too broad for me.

- Waterfall
- Thunderwave/Dragon Rush/Haze/Facade
it needs HP to survive hits to pull off dragon dance. iron tail/return are not necessary since Outrage + Waterfall covers all types. you can also use Dragonair for taking status conditions and combine it with Facade for powerful hits.

Dragonair @ Leftovers
Nature: Modest
EV’s: 96 SPD / 252 S.ATT / 160 HP
- Agility
- Dragon Pulse/Draco Meteor
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
BoltBeam hits everything except for Lanturn, which STAB Dragon Pulse works perfectly for anyway. since you have agility anyway, it doesn't need as much speed evs. it's too bad it doesn't have any way to boost Sp Atk other than Choice Specs. if you want to go the Choice Specs route, then give it a Timid nature with max speed, some hp, some sp atk. Draco Meteor is for strong finishing... KOs things that would require more than one Dragon Pulse.

Slakoth @ Sitrus Berry/Leftovers
Nature: Docile
EV’s: 252 HP/252 DEF/4 ATK
- Bulk Up
- Night Slash
- Giga Impact
- Counter
only good that can come of this thing is using Counter. if you're lucky and it doesn't get OHKOed upon its first usage of Counter, then you can start bulking up and using Giga Impact and Night Slash. don't hope on this thing doing anything. if you aren't satisfied with this because of it's BAD ability, then you could always give it Encore instead of counter to give you some time to use Bulk Up.

Elekid @ Salac Berry/Sitrus Berry/Liechi Berry
Nature: Hasty
EV’s: 96 ATT / 252 SPD / 160 S.ATT
- Cross Chop
- Ice Punch
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
i like this set. well done. sitrus berry isn't necessary unless you plan on substituting to death, while Salac Berry and Liechi Berry actually help you boost your Speed or Attack.

there ya go. good luck!

oh and Whiscash... just give it Leftovers/Enigma Berry/Sitrus Berry. leftovers is the safe bet to go with.
