Helps!

Can someone tell me where to get ppups??

Lt. Silver June 17th, 2007 2:37 PM

I remember you can get a pp max from the trickmaster house
pp max is a better version of a pp up

Other than preset areas in the game, the only other place to obtain PP UP (that I can think of) is the Pokémon Lottery in Lilycove City...

Lottery Prizes
Match 5 numbers = MASTER BALL
Match 4 numbers = MAX REVIVE
Match 3 numbers = EXP. SHARE
Match 2 numbers = PP UP

If I happen to find any ingame locations, however, I'll make sure to post them for you :)

If you want ppups u best get ur exploring shoes on. They can be hidden in the ground or as a shown item. So if u want to go exploring bring ur itemfinder and ur best eyes. Ill find some locations for you now :P

Here are the visable locations (where you won't need the use of an ITEMFINDER) where you can find PP UP:

1) The lake south of RUSTBORO CITY in ROUTE 104. Surf to the East side of the lake, and you will find a small section of land with a PP UP there.
2) A small island south of SLATEPORT CITY on ROUTE 109. Surf south from the shore and in the south-eastern corner of ROUTE 109 is a small patch of land with a PP UP.
3) METEOR FALLS. Surf up the waterfall near the cave's entrance and enter the next room. Climb down the next ladder you see. Walk West, then turn North and climb up the ladder. Walk up the stairs, at the top you should see a slope that you can jump down. Descend on the West side of the slope (this is important). You should see a ladder, climb down. Walk down the sairs and you will have reached water. Surf through the passageway. You will see an entrance into another room. Do not enter, instead, continue past it. The passageway will take you south to a small patch of land and another entrance, enter it. You should now be at a PP UP.
4) VICTORY ROAD. Walk North and walk up the first set of stairs you see. Continue on across the bridge and climb down the next ladder. Get past the puzzle with the boulders and continue on. You will see stairs beyond a smashable rock, ignore it and continue north. Get past the puzzle with the boulders and rocks. Continue on and you should see another flight of stairs. Continue up, across the bridge, and down another flight of stairs. You should have reached a ladder. After ascending the ladder you should be at a PP UP.

And here the the location where you can obtain the PP MAX:

Complete Trick House #7 (accessable once you have 8 BADGES and completed the previous Trick Houses) and the Trick Master will reward you with a PP MAX.

Other than the 5 locations I've listed above, the only other places that come to my mind where you can obtain PP UP are those requiring you to use an ITEMFINDER, and the Pokémon Lottery in LILYCOVE CITY. I hope this helps you! ;)

omg

i am a lazy guy
if i want PP UP i don't search for it, i let others do it for me!

so what do i do to get PP UPs?

i pick a nice pokemon that i want to train, then i go catch 5 zigzagoons. yes, ZIGZAGOONS, AND 5 OF EM. and i keep them with me while i train my pokemon.

now why would i do that?

2 words: PICKUP!
pickup?
yeah pickup!

what the ... (wrong) is pickup?

pickup is a special ability. Pokemon that have Pickup have a 10% chance of picking up an item, this item is given to the pokemon as a hold item, and you have to check the pokemon and take the items from it. of course this doesn't work if the pokemon is allready holdin an item.

the pokemon that have pickup are:

Meowth
Aipom
Phanpy
Teddiursa
Zigzagoon
Linoone

The items you can get from pickup are different for every version:

R/S gets you Super Potions, Ultra Balls, Full Heals, Full Restores, Nuggets, Revives, Rare Candys, Proteins, Kings Rocks, and PP UPs.

Fr/Lg gets you Cheri, Chesto, Pecha, Rawst, Aspear, Persim, Spelon, Pamtre, Watmel, Durin and Belue berry's (those last 5 are very rare, and the chance you get em with pickup is very small) and also Nuggets, Rare Candy's, TM 10 (hidden power)s, and PP UPs.

Emerald is very different, because the items you can get depend on the lvl of your pickup pokemon. i am not gona tell you all the items for all the lvls, i will only tell you that you need your pickup pokemon to be lvl 81 or higher to get it to pickup PP UPs.

Anyhow, the chance that the pickup ability give's you PP UPs is always ver small, but if you have 5 of those pickup monsters in your party, it shouldn't take long. Also: they are FREE, and LIMITLESS.

ow, and i got 2 more words for you: YOU AIN'T HERO'S!

"they are FREE"... Aren't all PP UPS "free"? :P

Anyway, Mustache is correct. I had completely forgot about the ability PickUp. May I add, however, though the ability gives a 10% chance of obtaining an item after battle, the chace that that item will be a PP UP is only 4%. Technically, this really is an unlimited source of PP UP, though it may not be all in front of you at one time. :)

Is it just me, or does Mustache always think of helpful answers that noone else happens to think of? (Mustache, I'm referring to your post about teaching Blaziken the move Blaze Kick, quite a nice idea) :P
