Are you playing on an emulator or on the real GBA? As the emulator can affect that.

Need more Details before We can Help... Did you buy it from a Shop? Emulator? did you gameshark on it?

Well, since you're playing on an emulator, it could just be a bad ROM... Try downloading another ROM off a different website? :2:

I believe you have to switch the save type to Flash 128K.

That is if you get the message "the internal save battery has run dry" or something like that. Otherwise it could be a bad ROM.

ROMS always mess up just get the actual game nub :P

If what seanmorely suggests does not work, it looks like you might have to start fresh with a new ROM. :(

Happy Dude June 18th, 2007 6:43 PM

Either download a New ROM or try saving Using the emulator itself...I remember when i used to use Visual Boy advance i could Save onto the emulator and not just on the Game.

That is the only way to fix it.

If after you've changed it, and it still no longer loads, it means your save file has then corrupted and you'll need to start again with the save file always on Flash 128k.

I can tell you how to change that setting on VisualBoyAdvance, but it may be different for different emulators. Anyway, this is how you change that setting on VisualBoyAdvance:
1) on the menu bar, you should see File, Options, Cheats, etc. Select Options.
2) under Options you will see Frame skip, Video, Emulator, etc. Select Emulator.
3) under Emulator are three boxes/sections. The last option in the first box/section is Save type. Select it.
4) under Save type are three more boxes/secions. The second box/section shows Flash 64K and Flash 128K.

In short...
Options > Emulator > Save type > Flash 128K

I hope this helps solve your problem. :) If not... I still think you may want to think about downloading a new ROM off a different website.

EDIT: Looks like I posted this a few minutes too late, oh well... :P
and by the way, homeboy619, instead of double posting, there is an Edit option under your own posts that you can use to edit or delete your post.

In short...
Options > Emulator > Save type > Flash 128K

And if I might just add to that, this extra step will help with insuring that it will work.

1. Open the game and load it to the last place you were playing.
2. Go into the folder where the ROM is kept and delete the file called "Whatever Pokemon game" .sav
3. Options > Emulator > Save type > Flash 128K
4. Use an ingame save, and then it should work.

@alchemist2

You probably need to change to Flash 128K, the default is Flash 64K, that was my problem when I couldn't run Emerald.
