Hey guys
First off, really lost to where this should go, but this seemed a better place than any.
Basically, having trouble with WiFi, My router is fine, and my computer says "Strength: Excellent" all bars are full, and the dongle itself is flashing and indicating that it's working. After inputting all of my computer's details I get the same message whilst trying to connect, which is "Warning! An IP conflict has occurred !" Now I know the problem is probably something to do with my internet service / firewall, but what i don;t know is how to fix it. Because I really wanna get online with Pearl, can any of you offer some support/ideas? Thanks very much ~Matt |
Your ISP isn't giving you enough IP addresses for all of your machines. You'll have to contact them about it to fix it. That, or you need to go into your wireless router and increase the IP address range. Or you need to change the settings on your computer to get a dynamic IP address. There are a few possibilities.
Wait...you're using the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB device AND a wireless router? And there IS a Computer Technology section over in Other Chat, which is where this really should have gone... |
Well, if that;s where it belongs then I;m sorry for posting it here :p
Thanks for the advice, I might of being slightly unclear with my first post, I;m using just the dongle, I assumed that was a wireless router, thanks anyways. |
