Hows my team?

Before I begin I would like to state, that my team is set up for Double Battles only! They can do single battles, but they are set up for Double...so when Judging keep that in mind. AND do not say they suck. I spent 3 weeks breeding and leveling up this team (they arent level 100 yet) I dont cheat or use cheating devices to get infinate rare candies or crap like that. They are legit. Well here they are.

Empoleon (Triton)
Ability: Torrent
Lv. 75 Modest Nature
Held Item: Leftovers
Surf, Grass Knot, Ice Beam, and Rain Dance

Froslass (Icy)
Ability: Snow Cloak
Lv 75 Modest Nature
Held Item: Spooky Plate
Protect, Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, and Thunder

Triton and Icy pair together in Double Battles.

Honchkrow (Darcy)
Ability: Super Luck
Lv 75 Jolly Nature
Held Item: Razor Claw
Protect, Night Slash, Steel Wing, Fly

Gallade (Slash)
Ability: Steadfast
Lv 75 Adamant Nature
Held Item: Scope Lens
Earthquake, Drain Punch, Swords Dance, and Psycho Cut.

Slash and Darcy are paired together in Double Battles.

Infernape (Blaze)
Ability: Blaze
Lv 76 Timid Nature
Held Item Wide Lens
Nasty Plot, Flamethrower, Focus Blast, Solar Beam.

Shiny Roserade (Thorn)
Ability: Natural Cure
Lv 75 Modest Nature
Held Item: Bright Powder
Sunny Day, Sleep Powder, Energy Ball, Sludge Bomb.

Thorn and Blaze are Teamed together.

Out of 27 Wifi Battles (according to my calculations on in my pal pad battle records with friends) I have lost 3.

Wow!

Im surprised im the first post, I love your pokemon! Especially since you claim that they are completely LEGIT. I dont like cheating for pokemon, TM's, or their levels for that matter. If that is a LEGIT shiny Roserade, I would LOVE to have it lol! Overall, I love your team.

you're team is pretty good, i just suggest changing one thing. For you're gallade, even though that psycho cut is a good attack, a very good attack, i suggest you get rid of it and put in another physical attack because of the big difference between his attack and special attack. On top of that he has an Adamant nature so special attacks do less damage anyway =\, just throw in some fairly good physical attack instead of psycho cut.

Psycho Cut is a physical move....

YOur team contradicts itself using empoleon and infernape. As I played you earlier on your team could easily beat itself. Might wanna watch out for things like that.... Also surf isnt really good in doubles unless your using a pokemon with water absorb(vaporeon and lapras)

Hence why Froslass knows protect. And I dont get why having Empoleon and Infernape on the same team really matters. Thats why Roserade is there to back Infernape up with Sunny Day.

If your going to make a team with pokemon like that on it dont you think the team should all be going for the same purpose? Lets say you have roserade out there as well as empoleon and you have sunny day in effect. Empoleons attacks just got cut down and You have just hendered your team. You asked how your team was and im telling you. I didnt say your team sucked, I said your team is counter productive

What if froslass faints and a fire type is up...

That_oneguyxx June 22nd, 2007 1:12 PM

he has empoleon which knows surf...

Everly84 June 22nd, 2007 6:26 PM

yea, if Roserade used sunny day and I am forced to use empoleon, I would put the most threatening oppenent to sleep and use Rain Dance.

I have that all planned out, I know the way I have them set up is rather odd. I was actually thinking about trading the TM for Grass Knot over from my Pearl Version (which is my blah game that I just mess around with.) Teach Grass Knot to Infernape. (cause I could only teach it to one pokemon, which I taught to Empoleon) Then get rid of Roserades Sunny Day...for something like Shadow Ball, or some other Special Attack. Which I may do.... just have to wait till I can get ahold of Shadow Ball on my other game to trade it over.

PS. M, The Roserade hatched out of an egg, when I was breeding some Sleep Powdering Budews. The parents was a Victreebel, and a Roserade. Victreebel was holding Rose Incence, and the Roserade....which was Modest, was holding an Everstone. All the TMs I ever gather throughout the game I save till I finally get my team built. Teaching them on a poorly trained EV pokemon is wasteing them if you in turn want to use a different pkmn after the Elite four. I went through 3 Infernapes...the Bold one I started with, then a Modest one, and now a Timid one. I went through 3 Roserades, a Bold one I caught, which I then breed and got a Modest one, decided I wanted it to know sleep powder...so breed it, and got the Shiny one.

I was using a Modest Glalie, but bred it with my Modest Ditto, and got a female Snorunt which I evolved into Froslass, I had a Gardevoir, which I bred with my Adamant Ditto, to get Gallade. I have been through 4 Honchkrows. (If your wondering where I got enough stones, its because I was using a Pachirisu with Pick up...which is level 60 something...and when I train I take it with me for Pick up. and get a crap load of the new stones.) The hasty one I caught, which I ended up breeding and got Adamant....wast fast enough, so I bred the Adamant one with my Jolly Ditto, and then made a mistake...and EV trained it in Speed, and Sp Attack....ouch....had to retry that over again and trained the 4th one in Speed and Attack. My roomate, bred me his Empoleon....(since there is not alot of new water types to use and I wanted to utilize using all new pokemon for a change of pace, from the usual ones) The egg he gave me hatched out Bold, and I raised it up...over 60...then decided to breed a Modest one to have better Sp Attack.

But I wont use my TMs till I know for dead sure, thats the pokemon I wasnt to use, cause If I wanted another Gallade with Earthquake, I would be quite screwed. and would be using a Modest one with all physical attacks...yea you get the picture. I decided to aim for a team of nothing but the new pokemon. The old pokemon are great. But sometimes its nice to get to know the newer ones.

It is still counter productive :V. but its your team....

sims796 June 23rd, 2007 5:23 AM

If you have Sunny Day, why not have Weather Ball, or Solar Beam for that matter?
