What fighting item should I put on?

If I want to raise my pokemon's fighting type move, should I use the Black Belt or the Fist Plate?

I know that the Black Belt raises the fighting type move by 10%. How much does the Fist Plate raise?

Is there a better item that I should use? I am asking for two different Pokemon, one that knows Focus Blast and the other that knows Cross Chop... please help me out, thanx...

Use the one that has focus blast. I think fist plate raises by 10% just like the black belt but I'm not sure.

Both Fist Plate and Black Belt raise the same amount, but if you're using all Special or all Physical moves, I would recommend Wise Specs and Muscle Band, respectively.

I think that the Charcoal, Mystic Water-type items raise 20% now.

well not that i endorse the use of such items, but Gymnotide is correct. items like Mystic Water and Charcoal do raise the respective type of attacks by 20%.

Black Belt raises the power of fighting moves by 20%, Muscle Band&Wise Glasses, I believe is 10% of any physical/special move, respectively?

Edit: fixed.
There's always Life Orb, which gives a solid 30% bonus on any move at the cost of your life, Expert Belt which raises 20% if you land a super effective.

Life Orb can be found on Stark Mountain.
Black Belt/Expert Belt can be found near Pal Park from the Lottery man.
Wise Glasses can be found in Celestic Town.

Actually, Choice Specs raises the holder's Sp.Attack by x1.5, but once you use a move you have to switch out before you can use another move. The item you're talking about it Wise Glasses

mmk, now you're just throwing out random numbers. here they are:

Specific Type-Boost Items: 20% boost (Mystic Water, Charcoal,...)

Choice Stat Items: 50% boost but limited to one move per switch

Life Orb: 30% boost for all moves but lose 1/8 HP every time you damage the foe

Expert Belt: 20% boost for supereffective moves

Wise Glasses: 10% boost for all special attacks

Concentration Band: 10% boost for all physical attacks

Shoot me .___.;

Did I really say all that? Yeah, my bad. My very bad. At least I got the first half right (I hope you knew I meant Wise Specs).

You lose 10% of the damage you deal, not 1/8 health. And Expert Belt only raises by 10%.

Samson June 23rd, 2007 2:21 PM

actually, you lose 10% of your total HP, so it's actually 1/10.

Quote:

Life Orb: Physical attacks and special attacks are boosted by 30%, but user takes damage equal to 10% of your max HP. This "recoil" is not blocked by Rock Head. The damage does not stack when using multi-hit moves. The holder even takes damage using set damage moves like Seismic Toss. The attacker does not take damage when it attacks a Substitute, however.
straight from smogon.

also, Expert Belt DOES raise by 20%.

Quote:

Expert Belt: Boosts super-effective moves by 1.2x.
also from smogon.
