I think you're backwards. When it has the face, it's cured, and won't recieve 2x EVs.
Not sure about spreading it, though.

Wrong. When it has the face, it means it has had PokéRus, and obviously it can't gain it again or spread it, but it will still keep the 2x EV effect.

Angelic Diablo September 11th, 2007 5:13 AM

Thought I'd point this out, since you had none listed under VS SEEKER DEFENSE

On Route 225 there is a trainer that uses 2 Slowbros which give 2 Defense EVs each

piplup 2020 September 11th, 2007 10:36 AM

ok can someone tell me all the places u can get the best attack defence and special attack?

J.M. September 11th, 2007 12:07 PM

Best place to get special attack is in the Old Chateau, where Gastlys give +1, and if you have a GBA game in the other cartridge spot, you may get Haunter which give + 2 and even Gengar, +3

You could try their places separately, because they have very good ones. By the way, you want Attack and Special Attack?

That's already there...

Boy, do I have egg on my face. :P
But at least I explained myself eloquently...
Thanks for clearing me up.

Quick question (sorry if this is a repeated question, I'm pretty sure it's not)

Ok... You get the effort Ribbon for getting 510 EV points??

Because I just took my Politoed to the chick in the town, and she said that the Effort Ribbon looks great on him...

When showing her my Dusknoir, she commented on how he has been working stupendously hard and gave me another.

Does that mean that I've done good in raising their EVs? And now will they not get very good stat boosts??

I'm a little confused because I didn't ever worry about EVs or anything like that, but the two Pokemon in question were transferred over through Pal Park...

EDIT:: I'm part of the people who only battle for fun, and never thought of really having a competitive team.

Bishopk September 17th, 2007 4:38 AM

I'd assuime that they'd already gotten all of their EVs, if you're getting ribbons.
It's not like you only get EVs if you EV train.

sandeep0767 September 19th, 2007 9:52 AM

hey how many evs does a pelipper give and can u tell me in what stat

Yeah, you only get the Effort Ribbon for getting 510 EV points. The both of your Pokemon have a max of 510 EVs currently, but unless you trained specific stats the points will be scattered between the 6 stats (HP, ATK, DEF, SPD, SPATK, and SPDEF).

El Supafly September 19th, 2007 9:27 PM

which is the best way to EV train a metagross?

sandeep0767 September 20th, 2007 9:23 AM

im trying to ev train a pokemon but wen i get like 56 evs i use my counter app he only goes up buy 3 anyone help ??

Toothache September 20th, 2007 12:06 PM

Easier way of getting Speed EV is to Surf in a cave, since Zubat and occasionally Golbat appear in the water, without getting the usual selection of other cave dwellers (Machop/Geodude/Chingling etc). The levels on those are usually quite high though

johnnykenny1234 September 20th, 2007 7:13 PM

once ive used up all my ev points can i just verse any pokemon to raise its level?

Toothache September 21st, 2007 6:54 AM

Yes, is the simple answer. Just make sure you've worked out the first 510 EV, because they can't be changed afterwards except with berries like Pomegs. Any battles after that don't affect the EVs, so you can level up to L100 with no other affect to your stats apart from your EV/IVs and nature.

Shiver September 21st, 2007 9:14 AM

Sandeep, the stats raise slowly at the beginning, but as you get into the higher levels you should start to see a different.

i dint the pokemon i was trying to ev train was lvl 50 and was only going plus 3

Te-em September 21st, 2007 10:16 AM

You can still EV train Lv.100. If you put a Pokemon in the box the EVs it has will raise its stats. It's called the Box Trick.
And in the games before GBA there was no 510 limit. You don't need to care so much for EV training then.

This should mean you level up too fast, maybe? (Because you battle less and gain less EVs each level)

Actually, the Box Trick was fixed in the second generation. (Or at least in the third)
