Team Building Advice...

K, I'm building a team, I know how to EV train, and all about IV's and stuff I just need help with making my movesets, roles, items, etc.

I'm considering using these Pokemon:
-----------------
Charizard
Modest/Adamant @Salac Berry or Leftovers
Special Sweep
Substitute
Flamthrower/Belly Drum/Dragon Dance
Dragon Pulse/Dragon Claw/Fire Fang
Earthquake

I also bred a Bellyzard (Mixed Sweeper) but I've been told that he's 'so much fail' with Pseudo Hazers running a muck now. So I'm still unsure...
-----------------
Froslass
Modest @ _______
Annoyer
Confuse Ray
Spikes/Toxic/*Ice Beam
Destiny Bond/*Toxic
Hail

Hail is used for the Speed Boost, Toxic and Confuse Ray for annoying, Destiny Bond in case she won't make it to see the next turn, Ice Beam for STAB, and Spike in case of the switch due to Toxic/Confuse Ray.
-----------------
Milotic
Modest @ _______
More Special Sweepin'
Surf
Recover
Ice Beam
Mirror Coat/Haze/Confuse Ray

I still need to know what breeds with Feebas to get Mirror Coat. I think the moveset explains itself
-----------------
Raichu
Adamant @ ______
Substitute
Agility
Volt Tackle
Reversal/Focus Punch/Brick Break/Light Screen
-----------------
Snorlax

K, I needed a Wall so I put this down, I have a Munchlax with Curse, and a Snorlax with Belly Drum, but upon using Belly Drum I Eliminate the need for Bellyzard, making Charizard a Special Sweep.
-----------------
Sceptile
Physical Sweep
Adamant @ _______
Swords Dance
Leaf Blade
Earthquake
Substitute

Sceptile has a higher Sp. Attack, but has such an accessible move -pool, it doesn't really matter, upon using Substitute he can use Swords Dance, then Earthquake and Leaf Blade with boosted Attack and Swords Dance again if desired.
----------------
Flygon

Kind of unsure what to use Flygon for, or if there is a need to use him at all!
----------------

This is a list of Pokemon I'm considering, feel free to add new ones and take out some, I really just need help as I'm new in the competitive battling world.

I'll do my area of expertise.

Milotic is quite an interesting Pokemon due to its disturbution of stats. It is mainly used as a Special Wall but is also a potent Special Sweeper.

There are many variants you can go for and the three most used natures are Bold, Modest and Calm.

If you want your Milotic to withstand a hefty amount of Physical attacks then go with Bold. A Special Sweeper go with Modest. As for Calm it is for piling on more points on that already high Special Defense stat.

Many choose to go with Mirror Coat but how about replacing it with Hypnosis?

itsgian June 24th, 2007 4:25 PM

I truly appreciate the help guys, I'm sure my team will be a a lot stronger now that I see the main roles that should be played by the pokemon, an I realize Milotic is used mainly as a special wall, but has a great potential as a special sweep/wall, but whatever.

Again, thanks guys for all the help!

Angelic Diablo June 24th, 2007 4:29 PM

I noticed that it hasnt been mentioned in this thread so I'll tell you, Corsola and Feebas = Feebas with Mirror coat

Punishment June 24th, 2007 4:31 PM

If you would like to try the Hypnosis variant it is an egg move obtained by breeding a Poliwag with a Feebas.

Vainz June 24th, 2007 4:52 PM

I recommend removing the Flygon in favor of a Garchomp. Flygon dosent gain much from Levitate and Garchomp has much better stats.

[email protected] Leftovers
Hasty Nature
-Earthquake
-Dragon Claw
- FILLER
- FILLER

Just dont give it any Speical attacks, only physical

Ugh Land Shark, Gachomp is good, but everyone's using him, although his stats are amazing!

Don't want to sound picky, but it's so played out, a little too much.

Vainz June 25th, 2007 10:23 AM

Flygon is a good choice if you want a original choice. Garchomp is truly over used. I can tell you are gong for original
