Omg! A Crawdaunt!?

When I was playing, I saw a shiny crawdaunt! I dont know how it's possible! I know you have to evolve a corphish, but I saw it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I think my game has a glitch in it! can somebody tell me if my games busted?

NocturnLeader June 25th, 2007 5:59 AM

Nope you can catch a Shiny Crawdaunt in the game. Plus other shinies too. I used to catch them with my rods or sometimes if I was surfing. But only like 3. Non shiny but still.

Matty101 June 25th, 2007 7:42 AM

Yeah Crawdaunts are a bit rarer than finding a Corphish but I've got my fair share. They come @ pretty high levels too (the one I caught was 54 =) ) Being a shiny is extremely rare and I hope you caught it =)

NoOb GaMeMaKeR June 27th, 2007 4:49 PM

It is probably a glitch in your game because I have never found a wild crawdunt in my game especially shiny!

Matty101 June 27th, 2007 4:56 PM

oh damn...wow we BOTH have glitched games :S ? I was thinking, what source are you referring to to prove that they aren't in the wild? Serebii?

Ichikool June 27th, 2007 5:00 PM

Luckyyyy! <_> Did you catch it?

That's cool, I never new you could find wild Crawdaunt in the game. Guess there rare right-found where Corphish are found? I haven't played emerald in awhile and I all of a sudden don;t feel like checking it's location. XD;

NoOb GaMeMaKeR June 27th, 2007 5:03 PM

I was reffering to thge fact that everyone that i know that plays pokemon have never ever found a wild crawdunt in the game and in my strategy it doesnt say that it is wild

Matty101 June 27th, 2007 5:05 PM

wow really ?! Damn, I'll try to get s screenshot of me catching it =P

Ayano Katagiri June 27th, 2007 8:56 PM

I have absolutely no idea where some of the members above are coming from, but there is no way of finding a Crawdaunt in the wild. It's just not programmed to appear at all in the wild.

In emerald I used to Find them with the Super rod! It is very rare to find them.

nguyende June 28th, 2007 7:22 AM

Hmmm... There are people here who claim that it is impossible to encounter a wild Crawdaunt, or that it is not programmed into the game... There are other people here who claim that they have encountered wild Crawdaunt before, and that they are just rare... I, personally, have neve ecountered a wild Crawdaunt before, but then again, I also don't fish too often. I wonder which side is correct? This conversation is making me curious...

Ninja Monkey June 28th, 2007 10:31 AM

Serebii and every strategy guide I've looked at say Crawdaunt does not appear in the wild. The Pokedex also says "area unknown", so he does not appear in the wild.

Spinor June 28th, 2007 12:24 PM

I have the awnser people, you can find ANY pokemon as shiny in the wild ANYWERE. so if you are the luck god, you'll find a blue Mew in emerald instead of the even rarer regular celebi(IF rumors are correct) those that claim they saw a regular crawdunt, better luck next time on your lies. But a wild crawdunt can only be shiny and Rare. so no glitch really.

I don't know where you came up with this, but I really think you have no idea what you're talking about. Seriously, Mew? :\

I really thought I've seen a Crawdaunt somewhere, too. I have two in my Sapphire Version, and I only remember evolving one. Odd.

I think I was fishing in Petalburg when I thought I saw one, but I guess not.

Now I wanna see if I can find one. xD

Matty101 June 28th, 2007 3:48 PM

And the rumors of seeing Celebi and Mew in r/s/e are true. If you watch the eight Pokemon movie (which is about lucario and mew), the regi's are the protectors of the forest. They also protect mew (in emerald, celebi) and finding one of the regi's, reports have it that mew/celebi may appear. Odd?

And to check if you caught or evolved your crawdaunts, check on the bottom of the first pokemon summary page of it. If caught it'll say something like Found in Petalburg at level __" If not, it'll say something about evolved from corphish

Incidentally, that's incorrect. If you have a Pokemon that you've evolved, it does not say that "it has evolved from ___". It will still say, "met in ___ at Lvl __".

Any pokémon anywhere? A wild Mew? Do you know what are you talking about? If you use advance map, you can see that some pokémon aren't programmed anywhere, so they can't appear, the first, Crawdawnt. I haven't find it anywhere. And, about Mew, yes, it appears... in Faraway Island, another secret island.

Ninja Monkey June 29th, 2007 10:39 AM

Maybe I need to make this a little clearer...

Crawdaunt does NOT naturally appear in the wild in R/S/E/FR/LG! NEVER!

Razer302 June 29th, 2007 10:51 AM

I am sure you can get a Crawdaunt In Ruby. Go to Route 102 and use a super rod in the first patch of water. They really rare though. I would try it but i lent my game to a friend and they used a gameshark on it and got rid of my Super rod. And wasn't going to start my game again after spending 200+ hours on it.

YUP :) That's where I caught my Crawdaunt. Maybe there's some type of error of some sort?!

NocturnLeader June 29th, 2007 12:00 PM

there are errors that do appear out of the blue sometimes. I was playing Diamond today and a Shinx that was Lv 3 has Spark already! I was like, Wow sweet! Then I killed it!

Good someone agrees with me. Anyone else want to try that out and get back with the results. I'm sure it is just an error in the game.

NoOb GaMeMaKeR June 29th, 2007 12:07 PM

maybe my strategy guide was wrong then when i looked in it.

NocturnLeader June 29th, 2007 12:11 PM

^ probably not. I mean sometimes games do have some sort of error and its wicked cool when you find them. Like the Missingno trick in the first pokemon games. ^

Matty101 June 29th, 2007 6:57 PM

EXACTLY! No guide had that little glitch trick in it's books!

After I beat Fire Red (a couple of days), I'm going to go searching for that Crawdaunt. When/If I find it, I'll screenshot and record for everyone!
