Transfering Hm pokemon

Ok, I see people having a raquazza in d/p how can u transer pokemon to d/p when then have hm's on them? I know raquazza has the hm fly but people still can.. anyone care to fill me in?

Shiny Umbreon June 26th, 2007 4:34 PM

Really you should take some time before beating the game....There's one guy called the Move Deleter. You can take your Rayquaza there in Emerald, then import it, and teach it Fly there.

My opinion about this: It isn't fair for people that have surfing Pikachu or stuff not to be able to transfer their Pokémon to D/P. I know it was done because of some differences between HMs, but really they could have done something.

In emerald where is the move deleter?

Captain Arcane June 26th, 2007 5:49 PM

He is in Lilycove City, right next to the Department store.

Actually, you should remember that anyone with a Wii and $50 can get it by buying Pokemon Battle Revolution.

That kind of sucks you can't transfer HM pokemon. I didn't know you couldn't.

wakachamo June 27th, 2007 7:43 AM

It's mainly due to the hassle of Dive, since it doesn't really exist in D/P. Plus the TM/HM nos. have changed so it would require the game to have even more lines of code to detect what attack was which.

So all in all, they just decided to avoid HMs to be Pal Parked.

wolfie1177 June 27th, 2007 7:54 AM

most any hm can just be retaught in d/p anyway except for dive

it's not that big a deal to go to move deleter before bringing over your pkmn

Dogod June 27th, 2007 8:29 AM

What would happen if someone used a hacking device to make a pokemon hold an hm and migrate it holding dive?

SILENT_NIGHT June 27th, 2007 8:29 AM

Yes, the move deleter would work perfectly. Go there, delete the HM's, and you can get most of them in the other game you are transferring them to. (Except Dive Of course)

i dont know but i wouldnt try that- probably one of those things that would eat your game from the inside out

Here, the main reason you can't transfer HMs is because you run the risk of getting stuck in your game. It's unlikely, but possible. Imagine for a moment you're in pacifidlog town. You proceed to transer all your pokemon that could learn surf or fly to d/p. You'd end up stuck in pacifidlog forever, unless you managed to get a trade with someone.

Yes it's highly unlikely, but never underestimate stupidity.

haha

i'd love to do that to a friends game

thing is though, they could use a rod to catch another pokemon and trade that in the pokecenter for a flying type, then teach it fly

nice idea though ~-~

You have a point there, but wouldn't you still technically have the HMs and teach them to other Poke'mon? If I do recall there is a guy there who gives you a water Poke'mon, and you can fish with one of the rods to get one to. So your not stuck there forever.

Action June 27th, 2007 9:42 AM

Unless you didn't get a rod, which is very possible. I went through my first time and didn't get any rods.

SILENT_NIGHT June 27th, 2007 1:16 PM

Hmm, I guess it could happen. Highly unlikely though.
