Chaining Problems
I've been trying to do a LOT of chaining but i keep getting to 10 and then running into a different pokemon or the chain suddenly stops. What am i doing wrong and what could i do to improve my chains?

Alrighty, First you only want to stick to one bush. There are the plain ones that shake longer, and the ones that glitter a bit and shake fast, stick to the plain ones only.
Next you only want to go in a bush when there is a total of four bushes. You must go to the farthest bush away only when there is four bushes. Make sure the farthest bush is at least four spaces away from you. Only walk from the left to the right when there aren't four bushes and you're trying to reset your Pokeradar, don't go up or down. Do not go into the bush above/behind you. ^ It's hard to tell if the bush shook or not. You will be resetting your Pokeradar a lot. Have at least 50 max repels. If you're chaining Electric Pokemon it helps to have a Pokemon in your party at the front with the Ability "Static". If you're chaining Steel Pokemon it helps to have a Pokemon in your party at the front with the Ability "Magnet Pull". And if there's anything that doesn't help you, then this video should help wonders: YouTube Video Chaining isn't easy, and it takes a while, so get lots of practice. |
in the video it says that after awhile you should stop chaining (and that 20 or 40 is a good number to stop at) and then to reset the radar to look for shinies?? that confused me, arent u just supoosed to keep chaining until u find a shiny?

yes and no if dependes on what you want if you want to keep chaining then keep chaining if you don't want to lose your chain than stop at 20/40 ofcurse if you get higher shinies well be easy to get
