legit

Now this might be a stupid question but I don't fully understand this how do you tell a legit from a non legit because I am getting a router and was going to start trading my shinies I just want to know how to tell the diffrence?

anemos June 29th, 2007 5:56 PM

Um, now that i think about this, it realy is more of an art then a science. first of all, read twilightblades excelent guide to rare unobtainables. http://www.pkmncommunity.com/showthread.php?t=87536

To truly know, you need to have some serious knolegde about he pokemon in the first place, and most importantly, nothing has an ID no of 00000! I'm a recently reformed cloner and hacker, so if you want me to, i'll help you with any identifications =/

latioslegends June 29th, 2007 8:36 PM

Oh thanks a lot none of my shinies have that ID but I am transfering them over to pearl I would ussualy clone them there since it is very simple in emerald I am just trying to figure out something here really I nearly have all 1-386 pokemon alll shiny I was just trying to figure out if they are legit are there any others signs I should look on it for?

Well if they usually come in a Masterball at level 100 they are usually hacked. Those are the trademarks of a hacker.

anemos June 30th, 2007 1:37 AM

um, any starter not in a pokeball... anything that cant breed hatched from an egg, anything that seems too perfect compared to the rest fo a guys offereings. there are a lot of things that set me off. you'll probably need to lean most of it yourself.

latioslegends June 30th, 2007 9:01 AM

I have checked all my level hundred shinies are in normal pok balls anything else possibly?

Ichida June 30th, 2007 9:04 AM

An easy way to tell is by looking at their Trainer Memo. If they came from an area that nothing in their evolution line usually appears in, it was hacked.

latioslegends June 30th, 2007 9:10 AM

well all they say is was obtained in a trade si I don't think that is a problem I guess my 386 shinys are legit or is there more to look out for?

anemos June 30th, 2007 12:42 PM

Ichida, that bit of data is replaced with the region it came from when you migrate.

Ichida June 30th, 2007 1:08 PM

Which makes them harder to spot. D/P hackeds are easy to spot this way though.
