Whats more important a nature or IV's
So say you had an adamant meta with about 20 atk iv
and a 31 atk iv with a lonely nature which one would you choose to train |
I'd go with the Adamant Nature one. I am pretty sure it's attack will be higher because of the nature. Lonely also doesnt benefit Metagross because it lowers its defense.
If you have a Adamant Ditto maybe you can try to breed the 31 Atk IV over. |
I'm pretty sure that the nature has more of an effect on the stats than IVs would, but IVs are still important.
|
Lonely ups Attack and lowers Defense...
I'd go with lonely one since they both increase attack and he has 31 IVs... The Adamant one would have 324 in attack stat (no EVs at level 100) and the Lonely one would have 336 in attack stat (no EVs at level 100). A difference of about 10 IVs wasn't that bad. :P Uhh... Just play with an IV calculator like I did. D: It depends on the situation... I think IVs helped more but meh, I'm not good at math anymore. :< |
Adamant. You'll need that defense to stay alive in the rare chance Metagross doesn't OHKO its opponent.
|
A nature is not so hard to get, so you should try to get IVs AFTER YOU HAVE YOUR NATURE. Everstones are very useful with this. And I think this should be in Strategies & Movesets.
