Take out Heatran, using Legendaries is pointless

Smarties-chan July 1st, 2007 1:24 AM

You really don't need to give your Pokémon's types because any person worth listening to already knows those. Also, Tyranitar is Dark/Rock, not Dark/Ground. We also need natures and EVs because they greatly affect a Pokémon performance in battle. Unless you give those, it's not a competitive team.

Why can't people get it through their thick skulls that legendaries aren't the same thing as ubers? Legendaries aren't overpowered and some legendaries are inferior to certain non-legendary Pokémon. By that logic Salamence, Tyranitar, Garchomp and Dragonite should be banned as well because they're in the same base stat group as the legendary beasts, legendary birds, legendary golems and the legendary fairy thingamajigs.

Actually, many people (like myself) doesn't give EVs, and some without natures.

It does depend on how you've trained the team though. I personally don't EV train as there never is anyone to battle competitively.

Flamethrower has stronger power than Lava Plume and does the same thing effectively.

5. Jolteon
Timid Nature
EV: 6Hp, 252Att, 252Def
-Thunderbolt
-Shock Wave Agility
-Chrage Beam Baton Pass
- Subsitute

I meant to say POST EV's as in when they ask for a team rating. But you're right, not everyone EV trains.

Lephisto July 1st, 2007 5:36 PM

For jolteon can i have a steel move so when a rock type comes i'll be ready for it

sims796 July 1st, 2007 5:44 PM

Do you mean Iron Tail? Not at all. His attack is too low.

sanjay120 July 1st, 2007 5:47 PM

Use special moves on Heatran except for Explosion.

Lava Plume is there for the 30% burn chance. As soon as someone sees Heatran, they bring in the EQer.

Lephisto July 1st, 2007 6:08 PM

whats EQer? is it earthquake by anychace?

Angelic Diablo July 1st, 2007 7:33 PM

EQer is a pokemon that knows Earthquake, it's Heatrans worst opponent as it has a 4x weakness to Earthquake (and other ground moves)

Lephisto July 1st, 2007 8:05 PM

cool, thanks for the info

Ethereal July 1st, 2007 9:39 PM

You are aware that not only Heatran will be torn asunder by Earthquakes, right? Jolteon...dead, Metagross and Tyranitar...maimed. Just so you realize this.

Thats why i give moves to it to counter attack its weakness, mastering others is strength, master yourself and you become fearless
