Elite 4 Problems

I am having a bit of troble beating a Lapras in the elite 4

I am using a level 72 blastoise.

Thaknks.

JohnBoy617 July 2nd, 2007 10:02 PM

Umm wat moves does Blastoise know? if it just knows water and ice type moves, you're screwed.

Chompah :x July 2nd, 2007 10:04 PM

fill out your team with some depth if you just have one tank you'll get smashed.
try using a grass type.

Ayano Katagiri July 2nd, 2007 10:08 PM

Lapras isn't too bad, it's annoying in the E4 though. I suggest you use something other than Blastoise. Blastoise's non-type advantage really doesn't help you when you need to beat it.

Try going for a type advantage attacks, I.e. electrical attacks or grass attacks. Electric may be slightly better as Lapras does have Ice attacks which will knock out your grass types too easily.

I'd definitely go with Electric, unless you have a high level grass pokemon or can somehow OHKO it with grass move. I never had trouble with any Elite 4 in a game myself. =D

i did, R/B/Y was hard without the rare candy trick plus the fact i was 6/7/8 when i was active on that game

Hehe, I tried to beat the elite 4 on yellow with a lv81 Raticate that knew water gun...

Rat Salad July 4th, 2007 12:45 PM

You can't expect to beat a Water/Ice type Pokemon in the Elite 4 with a Water Pokemon of your own. Try catching a Magneton, Zapdos or maybe even Pikachu to kill it.

I would do the same thing as rat salad I beat it with a lv 40 Picachu with the help of a lv 48 raichu

Blastioise? Blastiose is not good in the E4, Try using a Psychic pokemon, Electric, A Ground or a Grass type...

daniofchaos July 7th, 2007 8:46 AM

well if you train at least all your pokemon to lvl 75 it will be easy to beat the elite four

PirateBounty July 7th, 2007 8:55 AM

You've got to get at least one other pokemon I suggest getting a Machoke or Onix

Blastoise is fine to use. Maybe not throughout the entire E4, but at least against Bruno.

Rebellious Treecko July 7th, 2007 2:50 PM

I owned the Elite 4 with a Blastiose...and some other pokemon as well.
Zapdos works well, but it'll probably get beaten easily by ice attacks, so try rasing a Raichu to a high level instead.

Shinji_ July 7th, 2007 7:31 PM

Get a thunder pokemon and you will do fine always know your opponets weaknesses :) I dont know how you could do it with just a blastoise its possible though...you just need the right moves.

King Boo July 7th, 2007 7:56 PM

2 words.

Catch Zapdos!

NessStar3000 July 7th, 2007 8:05 PM

If your Blastoise has any other type of move besides it being Water/Ice, then it shouldn't be much of a problem. Just make sure your pokemon has certain moves that fit for every occasion.

gotron228 July 7th, 2007 8:51 PM

Well i may have said use raichu or umting but I owned the pokemon league witha Blastoise and a whole bunch of electric pokemon

Always and Never July 7th, 2007 10:49 PM

Zapdos might not be the best choice. Ice weakness. Magneton has no ice weakness, so I'd recommend that.
