Pearl Question? URGENT.

I have chosen Empoleon will i be able too see Infernape?
I really want an Ampibom i put honey on the tree and i put my clock forward 12 hours and there is no pokemon attracted what do i do?

fearow23 July 2nd, 2007 9:16 PM

You will always see Infernape because the Elite Four have one. Just fight all the trainers at Victory Road, they'll fill up your Pokedex quickly. Since you haven't gotten your National Dex yet, meet me online so I can give you a free gift. My info is in my sig.

BANGS HEAD!
I can't connect to Wi-Fi i tried at my cousins and at my mum's work and i don't have Wi-Fi at home.
Oh and by the way how do i get an Aipom from the honey tree because i tried putting honey on and putting my settings 12 hrs in advance and there was no poke.

beauty. proletariat July 2nd, 2007 9:36 PM

dont do the settings change. It will stuff up your berries hard core. Just splatter the honey, and wait 3~7 hours. It should show up.

They have a hidden clock or something coz if you try to change the time on the clock on the DS, even by one second, the game will find out.

Chompah :x July 2nd, 2007 9:43 PM

i don't care about berries.
the game runs on the ds's clock.

wolfie1177 July 2nd, 2007 9:47 PM

yea when i needed drifloon for my nat dex i changed the time and it worked right away

Chompah :x July 2nd, 2007 9:51 PM

i put my clock forward by 4 hours and it just says the bark is slathered with honey, slather the bark with honey?

beauty. proletariat July 2nd, 2007 9:53 PM

Mate.. I think you should be paitent and wait like the rest of us...
I finished the e4 first time in 45.27 coz i was waiting for a Vespiquen. If you wait the six hours or whatever it is, i'm pretty sure it will work...

Live in Color July 2nd, 2007 9:55 PM

Just wait... The clock won't do anything because the game has a hidden clock it remembers. Like when you go to migrate Pokemon, if you've changed the clock it says. The internal clock has been changed, change it back to migrate?

Just wait, you'll eventually get one. In the meantime go train or something.

Chompah :x July 2nd, 2007 9:56 PM

I've got 52 hrs on my game and i haven't beaten the elite 4.
I need an ampibom to help me defeat them.

Live in Color July 2nd, 2007 9:58 PM

Ambipom won't help much against the Elite Four. Someone who can REALLY help is a water/ice type. Ice to take out 3/5 bug pokes, water/ice to take out most ground pokes, water to take out fire, then someone for psychic types, then the champion you could use ice alot.

Chompah :x July 2nd, 2007 10:01 PM

could you give me an example of a pokemon to use?

Barboach July 2nd, 2007 10:16 PM

Well, for the first elite, most of his bugs are flying type so make sure you have someone who knows a good ice move like Ice Beam. The second Elite has ground types, and she sends out Quagsire first. Use a grass type move on her Quagsire and just switch to your Empoleon to KO the rest. The third elite uses fire and has a Lopunny, all you really need here is your empoleon, and just use a fighting or any other powerful move to take out his Lopunny. The fourth one uses Phychic, so have someone with the move "Night Slash", or "Dark Pulse" and equip them with Black Glasses and you should be okay. The champion isn't too tough but her lucario is a force to be reckoned with. Use a fire/ground move to take out Lucario.

AztecSunshine July 2nd, 2007 10:22 PM

there is some thing magicel called the gts you can get any poke you saw there if you offer well

I believe what he is trying to say is the "Global Trade Station", but you said you couldn't get Wi-Fi working as the GTS runs on Wi-Fi.

Live in Color July 2nd, 2007 10:28 PM

Milotic would be good. It can withstand attacks, and then have Ice Beam and Surf. It also learns Recover which helps. For the last move you can give it Mirror Coat or Hypnosis but that would involve breeding, however if you do, you'll own.

I think it's 3-7 and 12-24. That's what I heard. I'm waiting for a Vespiqueen, too. So far, no luck, though.

AztecSunshine July 2nd, 2007 10:39 PM

sorry about that i was in a rush to see some thing

Chompah :x July 2nd, 2007 11:00 PM

that's ok but next time take your time.

Captain Arcane July 3rd, 2007 12:28 AM

Mabye this will clear things up a bit.

1. When a tree is splatered with honey, a pokemon will appear within 12-24 hours. After the 24 hour mark, pokemon will no longer be attracted to the tree, and you will have to spread more honey on it if you want to attract more Pokemon. Also, honey can be bought in Floaroma Meadow for 100 poke dollars.

2. Fast forwarding time in the DS's eternal clock may result in a glitch that involves berries. There have been no long term effects discovered from doing this, except that the berries cause malfuntions within the game. I am unaware of the effects, but someone else may know.

Also, whenever the eternal clock is tampered with, by fast forwarding, or rewinding, time based events wont occur for 24 hours. Which means, berries wont grow, honey wont attract Pokemon, and even more things if there is any.

3. All the 4th generation Pokemon can be seen in either game, diamond, or Pearl. even Palkia or Dialga. If you are playing Diamond, and you have finished seeing, or catching Dialga, travel to Celestic Town, speak with the village elder (Cynthia's grandmother), and she will fill your Pokedex with Palkia's data, and vice versa. But again, every single Pokemon in the Pokedex can be found in Sinnoh, if you have succeded seeing every Pokemon in Sinnoh, travel to Sandgem Town, and speak with Prof. Rowan, if you have seen every Pokemon in Sinnoh, he will award you with the National Pokedex.

Does this help?

beauty. proletariat July 3rd, 2007 12:33 AM

*PheW* XD
Yes. If you change the clock, your game is in Rehab for 24 Hours... Thats what alot of people dont understand. I think that the 24 hour thing was so that people who try, wont be able to get 7+ pokemon out of palpark.

I dont think the time thing was too much for the honey trees.

Yes, I know for a fact that Nintendo did that so people cannot cheat with Pal Park. But it doesn't bother me, I'm always busy in D/P, so fast forwarding would make it worse for me.

beauty. proletariat July 3rd, 2007 12:51 AM

Dammit... I just caught a lvl 53 Beldum in route 228... soo hard.. wasted 5 Nest balls and 2 quick balls...
yeh, most people are busy in d/p

I find i never have enough time for it... XD

Chompah :x July 3rd, 2007 12:57 AM
