At lv.55 he lerned Hydro Pump, this is a good Attack ... so
you can use Water Stone after he learned Hydro Pump.

Shiraishi July 3rd, 2007 2:44 PM

This is my Starmie..I use him for competetive battles.

I already gave you moves o.o As for EV spread..It might as well be a sweeper so..252 SP atk EPs/252 Speed EPs/6 HP EPs

Nightofshadow July 3rd, 2007 3:00 PM

You might wanna get modest nature....

ZaChAttAck101 July 3rd, 2007 3:01 PM

how do you know when it has 252 of spd, 252 of sp.atk, and 6 for hp?? i wish someone could EV train it for me

Avolition July 3rd, 2007 3:18 PM

I don't count. I just train it against the right Pokemon over and over until I go see if I get the effort ribbon. It's way easier. Just fight a billion Pokemon in the Trophy Garden and it should be good.

Buts not efficient enough because all your EV will be spred and not in the stats you want

Shiraishi July 3rd, 2007 3:40 PM

For sp atk EV training: Go to the chateau and fight gastly(1 sp atk ep)

For speed: Surf in victory road, you will find nothing but golbats

For HP EPs: Kill bidoofs :D

Hope this helps ^^

ZaChAttAck101 July 3rd, 2007 3:48 PM

is it always important to go for the ones who have low EV point values because i think the ones with more than 2 make your EV training come to an end really quick unless im training wrong?\ =(

The trophy garden is the universal perfect place to Special attack and speed train. Roselia, Pichu, Pikachu, etc. Chanseys eventually will give you HP evs too I think. If you're a high enough level, then you can still beat them. Also, you shouldn't use Hydro Pump. Use Surf -.- At Level 33 I think Starmie learns Confuse ray. That's a lot more reliable than Hydro Pump.

Roselia gives 2 Sp atk evs >.> Also, don't you have "I understand evs" in your sig anyway?

Chompah :x July 3rd, 2007 3:52 PM

why in your sig does it say i understand iv's and ev's if your asking all these questions?

there aren't many sp. atk pokemon that give 2 ev's just use gastly i'm training my roserade on it..

ZaChAttAck101 July 3rd, 2007 3:54 PM

its just there for show dOOd >.<!!! sheesh cut me some slack here...i only added it because i was just teasing...if your going to complain about that then dont bother trying to help me out then

Dude, what about Roselia. And I'm not complaining about anything, I'm saying the Trophy Garden is the absolute best place to sp attack and speed train.

ZaChAttAck101 July 3rd, 2007 4:14 PM

so you say pikachu pichu and roselia appear there most of the time but what about chansey?? everyone knows chansey is rare and hardly ever shows up... im actually lucky to have caught 1 because i was never able to catch 1 ever since red blue and yellow version....

Avolition July 3rd, 2007 4:16 PM

Pikachu and Pichu are for speed. Roselia is for sp attack. And I know Chansey is rare, I was just saying.

ZaChAttAck101 July 3rd, 2007 4:29 PM

its okee dood...its true that i caught my FIRST chansey in this game and thank BoB it wasnt in the safari zone =P

Avolition July 3rd, 2007 4:39 PM

You can just go to the east exit of Hearthome City, and some guy will give you a Happiny egg. You could evolve that into Chansey.

thanks for the help everyone!!! Cakekun i'll give it a try with the move set ok...thanks

Avolition July 3rd, 2007 5:22 PM

Starmie actually gets Confuse Ray at level 28 now, not 33, so you might consider that. Also, Staryu gets Recover at level 15, you should probably take something off for that. But if you don't evolve it until level 55, here are the attacks it learns.
Minimize 33
Gyro Ball 37
Light Screen 42
Power gem 46
Cosmic Power 51
Hydro Pump 55

Also, I recommend Timid over Hasty.

Shiraishi July 3rd, 2007 7:14 PM

Yea..go with timid :/ I chose hasty cuz my hasty staryu has better IVs than my modest or bold one :x

Avolition July 3rd, 2007 7:15 PM

XD timid Starmie owns all.. except Blissey.
