Yes, as well as Zinc, HP Up, Carbos, PP Up and PP Max and Rare Candy, though PP/Candy doesn't give EVs, as you know. You can only feed 10 of every stat-Vitamin to one Pokemon (meaning 100EVs in a single stat) before it won't have any effect.

But remember, unless the pokemon is fresh out of the wild, or that it hasn't gained 10 ev in a stat yet, you can't give it 10.
For example if a pokemon gets 10 ev in a specific stat, the ev boosting vitamin can only be used 9 times now, not 10.
So it's good to use them on freshly hacked or caught pokemon, but you'll only usually get the money for 10 vitamin ev items very later in the game.

so if ure rich, its easier to ev train from vitamins than wild hunting?

Yes and no. You can only use vitamins on a Pokemon that has less than 100 EV's in the corresponding stat. If the Pokemon has more than 100 EV's in Attack, for example, then Protein vitamins won't affect it.

Also, does anyone know what the effects of each vitamin does? I know a few of them, but are unsure of the rest.

I know: Protein (Attack), HP UP (HP).

Ones I don't know and are unsure of: Calcium (Defense?), Carbos (Speed?), Zinc, Iron.

Protein -attack
Iron - defence
Calcium -Sp atk
Zinc -sp def
Carbos - speed

Now it may only seem to raise a stat by one or two, but 4 evs to a stat point only count at lv100. so at level 50, you will only get two or three stat points.
